Yes you flashed Global so it may display NFC because that's included in this Rom.
However only Global/EU/Chinese flavor of the device have NFC.
Indian flavor for example does not have hardware for NFC, but instead a 2nd SIM tray.
Hope this helps.

So how reflash Indian rom without Xiaomi authorised account

You misunderstood me.
If your device does not have NFC hardware in it, whatever you flash on it will not make you get it by magic.
And on an other and if you flash a Rom which does not support NFC on an NFC capable device, you will have the same result, meaning the NFC of your phone is not going to work.
What version of the phone you own (not Rom version, hardware phone version: Eu? Glob? India? China)?
The Eu/Global/China one all have an Hybrid sim tray only accepting 2x sims OR 1x sim + SD card.
The Indian version of the phone has one tray with SD + 1x sim and a second sim tray with 1x sim. That means the phone can have out of the box 2x Sim + SD simultaneously.
Regards.

No i dont need NFC but i revert back to Indian rom becouse It has a lot of bugs so i need to flash Indian version.I am currently in Global Rom

No, no ,no
China and Global verison are very similar. After installing LOS 15.1 it's going to be even harder to guess which one is it. 3 GB of RAM tells that's it's definitely not a Pro verison, that is available in India. So It's China or Global
Global version supports LTE B4 and LTE B20. So if You are able to connect to those bands, than You have a global version

THanks MikiGry. Is there any good app that helps me find out which LTE my phone supports? I tried several but only one of them show that my LTE band is 3, and sometimes 7. But I probably need the LTE band capability and not the current band connected.

No I don't have the box. But I checked the IMEI online and it says my phone is MEC7S, which seems to be the Chinese model :crying:
But that IMEI checking website might be wrong, since my phone got only 4GB of RAM.

Signal Issue

Hi, I just bought an Redmi Note 5 Pro 6/64 on AliExpress, and it came with an unlocked bootloader and what it seemed to the a global ROM of MIUI. I didn't update because of ARB, since I read that it could brick my device, and it was ARB 3 so I didn't wanted to flash anything official. So I installed TWRP and flashed custom ROMs, but it seems that on every ROM I install I get no signal detected, I have to manually toggle a lot the network toggles to MAYBE get my Redmi Note 5 Pro to pickup signal. I'm just wondering if anyone has gone through this and how did you fixed it? I don't really want to flash the official global ROM to get it fixed properly. Thanks.

What version of MIUI are you on? You can check the version and flash the firmware only for that version. That should, in theory, fix any signal issue you got.

yes, because firmware isn't rom dependant. Like i've said, check if you're on ARB4 or 3 and flash a firmware depending on the result (be very careful).

Indian rom on global version device.

Could please someone let me know if I can install Indian rom on global version phone, and please share the way to install.
Yes, You can Install it.
The Process are
- Unlock Bootloader using Mi Unlock Tool.
- Download Fastboot Rom of Indian Version.
- Download MiFlash Tool and while flashing, Don't Select "Clean all and lock" option. Just select only "Clean all" option to avoid brick issue.
*Note: Unlocking Bootloader will erase user data. If device got brick, only option to fix it is to take it to service center.
I'm gonna do this tonight, been waiting 7 days to unlock bootloader, just for this.
The only reason I'm doing this is to get stock MIUI Dialer and messaging app, with default call recording built-in.
Can someone confirm this?

Alexa does work but make sure to turn off Alexa hands-free in the notification toggle. My device couldn't play audio, auto-brightness didn't work and videos were sped up. After turning it off everything worked again.
NFC is nowhere available, not as a toggle and not in the settings.

Actually way more boring than I thought. Flashed the China Rom after that and that also sucked. I'm now back on EEA
Can you also tell how to install the Android 10 rom on Indian device? I've been waiting for so long but the Indian Rom is still stuck on 11.0.4

If your bootloader is unlocked and you flash the whole Rom using fastboot, it should not be a problem.
I've read about some anti-rollback 'feature' on some roms, but that would be from Android 10 I think.
Both the versions you mentioned being Android 9 they should not have it.
PS: If you flash IN Rom you are going to loose NFC.
Having the preloader and lk already installed as the megathread intrudes, just need to follow the same steps indicated here?
Do I need to reinstall it after the flash of the Indian version?
Thanks.

no it doesn't only global devices rom get nfc hardware so is software support , conclusion is any device sold officially outside india is global rom and have nfc , i tried indian rom but problem is to make something like that you need to make a custom rom with these features which is nearly impossible because mediatek doesn't care about its' customers and its' restrictions are beyond insane , that's why xiaomi.eu ended support for mediatek phones because of bad platform and crazy restrictions that blocks developers from having freedom that they get on snapdragon platform , it's not xiaomi's fault.

You can switch from chinese to global rom(or indian rom if you want inbuilt call recording option) after unlocking bootloader and debloat it all after rooting..Or maybe just flash custom roms .

Hello Robert
I have ordered CN version Oct, and i have been using it ever since. Out of the box you will get 18w charger with adapter which is very good, i live in Bosina, both sims are working fine 4G works too. There is not much to be worried about in CN version it works great it gets latest builds of MIUI (compared to other versions). Only thing that was kinda a nitpick and kinda annoying for me from start is that you get few standard Chinese apps that you can delete, and some of main Mi apps keep giving notifications in CN like mi videos and very other few, but rarely and they can be blocked. When you power on a device for a first time and creating Mi account you will have to install gapps which you can do over integrated mi store as i can remember (just type google no need for Chinese fonts). After doing that and logging into your google account i recommend you to unlock bootloader, you will have to make a request for unlocking it takes 160+ hours for it to get approved. Install xiaomi.eu rom which is cleaned and optimized CN miui for global users with xiaomi devices and regular updates and builds. I am currently using xiaomi.eu rom its fast, it has also ability to update it with updater in system. Anyway it is up to your preference what you want from device, you can try to install global firmware without unlocked bootloader you can try, if you want or some other custom rom with unlocked bootloader.
Best regards

Question Can I change my Indian Software OOS to the International/European OOS?

I posted this on OP9 forum but OP9 Pro forum looks more active, sorry in advance.
I bought a OP9 chinese model LE2110, my software is oxygen OS 11.2.3.3 LE25DA (indian)
I want global version because this one has some bloatware and indian company cloud notifications that i dont want.
Is it possible to change it to international version? i downloaded the global one but i cant install it (local) because its a downgrade or equal to my current one. i updated to the latest version when setting up my phone.
The chinese version/model doesnt have wireless charging, so if there is a problem with compatability, can I change back to the indian variant?
note: I dont care about my data i can format everything, my old phone still works and I can transfer all data later.

i think u can as i have changed from EU to indian OOS - i couldnt wait to try 11.2.4.4 lol
But the key is it must be later version that yr current OOS which means u are on 11.2.3.3 to EU 11.2.3.3 it will not work - that was based on my experience.
Agree with u the bloatwares are annoying.. perhaps i will go back to EU once a newer than 4.4 is out.
So far, all seems to work. I cant comment for 5G as its not available in my telcom

I know you have the non pro china model but just to know, you have after switching to oxygen does the following are working?
5G, 4g+ (carrier aggregation), volte, google pay? and in which country are you?
Oh I just did local upgrade from India 4.4 to eu 4.4, it works.. So I think u can downloading and do it. Worst case, use oxygen updater and change back to global and revert
I see.. when you switched to eu 4.4, did it remove Cloud Service (indian version has this advertisement)? or Red Cable Club?

Sorry I just read your message.
I didn't switch to oxygen, i think the seller did the switch and shipped it to me.
4G works, 5G doesnt work. Im in Saudi Arabia.
I don't use google pay but there is NFC.
Check Signals/Bands for each phone version, and the signals and bands that your carrier use. You can find them in the specifications for each phone

Hi there, is there any way to force installing also an older version of EU OS?
I mean via fastboot or magisk?
No it's not possible i was confirm about it from multiple experts even from lightweight tennis stringing machines experts too but it's not working.
