I had this issue on my old Nexus. Erasing the partition before reflashing worked for me. Are you able to flash another custom recovery like CWM over TWRP?

I didn't try flashing a different recovery. I was going to try using dd to write to the partition.
Do you happen to know which partition the recovery is on?
According to TWRP the partition is:
/dev/block/mmcblk0p25
BTW are you sure your stock recovery img is stock recovery and not twrp masquerading as stock recovery due to some mixup somewhere? where/how did you get your stock recovery img?
hi guys i have soff and super cid and was on the latest viper rom but i have a fault and everytime i try flash a stock rom it just fails in recovery has anyone any ideas as its driving me mad because not i dont have no system os installed
Use fastboot/adb to erase cache and install recovery again. Try a different recovery, and make sure it the latest version. Try a different ROM, or download again to make sure the ROM zip is not corrupt.
Fail to flash is a known issue on TWRP, in particular.

What custom recovery are you using??
Better wipe /system and /data partition before flashing ROM

Hay, Did you unlock your bootloader ?
phone restart again and again after zuk logo comes. I test 3/4 custom ROMs but all same. I have to attach the charger then it starts.
What was the issue and how to solve this?

When exactly did the problem start? Just after rooting? Or after bootloader unlock?
The most common resolve is a stock rom flash. May be you have wiped the internal storage, assuming that you're flashing roms through otg
Please state your case
actually the problem starts after flashing the aex 5.8 (dirty flash) through twrp. everything was ok but after opening gcam phone goes to bootloop n keep restarting. then I clean flash another rom via twrp but problem remains. atlast I try the type yes format then a rom installed but now phone goes to bootloop very often. even if I listen music on speaker phone goes to bootloop ( below 60 charge). and need to attach charger while restarting ??
Flash stock ROM qui 3.5 using qfil.
zui 3.5 ? Chinese oreo build???
please give me the rom link

can I flash stock 1.9 and then 2.0 as I still have warranty??
Yes. Bootloader locked means Warranty. But you have to lock the bootloader because sometimes mi flash tool (i don't know about qfil) doesnt lock the bootloader back. In my case, i flashed stock OS but it didn't lock the bootloader. So you will know the bootloader is locked if there is no warning sign at boot
hey guys please help me...
I'm struck in twrp recovery from 3 days ..
my phone is completely wiped out....
there is no files in internal storage.. it's completely wiped...
so I'm copy treble rom and non treble ROMs in internal storage...
then I flash a treble rom... steps of factory 2vendor and 3.2.2 twrp and then reboot to recovery and then install treble rom and gapps but it shows Failed to mount vendor invalid argument.. and error 7
so then I'm again clean cache data system and then I flash vendor to factory and install non treble rom.. and boot it...
it boot but it's not boot it only shows rom name...
I'm unable to flash both treble and non treble ROMs ...
I'm presently struck in twrp....
guys please help me...

You've to install Stock firmware. I did the same because accidentally i wiped my internal storage. I flashed ZUI 2.5 via MiFlashTool. All the relevant information can be found in the link https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...-lenovo-zuk-z2-plus-2132-indian-t3678826/amp/
Wiping internal storage was the sole mistake. After all steps provided in the above link, i was able to use my phone again. Then, afterwards i did all the rooting process again. This process didn't lock my bootloader so it was already unlocked. Mind you i never flashed any treble rom. I hope it helps

Sorry i can't. There is a ZUI 3.5 flashable zip but users have reported soft bricks due to it. Better to use this link because it helped me too https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...-lenovo-zuk-z2-plus-2132-indian-t3678826/amp/
Try downloading and installing aex5. 1 from some other storage device using otg and select it from there
