IMS is currently completely disabled for 17.1 for now because it has caused issues (constant modern crashes) - at least for about 5/6 boots. still needs some love
Sent from my Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact using XDA Labs
Just wanted to publicly thank the amazing team that has made this happen. Phone is rocking with 17.1
I have noticed some issues with GPS if I use high accuracy. Seems to work when I use device only. Also occasionally get a screen freeze that resolves with a lock unlock. As I built myself off the available source I expect its just my own personal issues, I find it normally is in life
If I can catch it and log it, I'll post them here or elsewhere
Where to download? After the link is opened, it is displayed as localhosts
Thank you for making this rom!! When do you think will it be available to download?
Fine jobs on all your roms, thank you! Once again a small donation went your way.
Would you consider looking at the UnifiedNlp situation (network-based location only working on networktype 2G if at all)? It is somewhat a deal breaker to not have network-based location for me, somewhat, enough that I downgraded to 15.1 today from 16 (couldn't get my head around the workarounds needed to make UnifiedNlp work on LOS16 / Android 9).

Well there are several issues. There hasn't been a release in a long time. There are PRs to support newer versions of Android but nobody is merging them.
For example:

Is it you who decided to include UnifiedNlp in your LOS releases or is it an upstream decision (by the official LOS team, whomever they are)?
I'm just thinking it is very frustrating to have it included in the ROM when it is not working. Would it be better to ditch it for now and add it back later when the problems have been fixed (be that in AOSP or UnifiedNlp)?
Could a workaround be included in the ROM? Something like what is done here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81427023&postcount=817 , use another build of UnifiedNlp (if I understand correctly, and if it does not involve the whole of microG with spoofing patches etc.).
What a great news! hope it could be one of the best rom for this device!

If you mean where he got LOS17 he built it from source https://github.com/cryptomilk/android_device_sony_lilac .
If you mean where he got his phone and which phone it is, I don't know.
The first time I read this thread (7th February it was, I suppose) I guess there was a valid URL, then it was updated and local host added.
Too bad I haven't downloaded that ROM! ?

No... all builds are merged with los15. 1
So the bugs and the quality are the same like los 15.1
Does crDroid have some kind of AOD included?

Pls apply this fix like in the 3.8 version! People like me with sony lenses cant use trhis rom due the crap images taken by third party apps!
Could someone tell me how to do either of the two following things in this rom:
Force 3-dot menu button in apps
or
Change the functions of the multitasking button
I can't seem to find a setting for either and this makes some apps almost unusable (most importantly to me, Titanium Backup)

The fingerprint sensor still unlocks while screen is off. Not sure if everyone is seeing this.
Sweet work BTW!
Edit: I guess it sleeps after a minute or so?

Sorry for troubles but it's claimed as working, im using it. make sure you have latest stock firmware before flashing, this bug could occur when you are dirty flashing to same slot, clean flash to fix this. for dirty flashing you could try flashing to opposite slot. I won't share incremental OTA's because of it's problems with applying due to TWRP slot issue's (that's why you need to do this via fastboot). Meanwhile new update was released and WIFI speed issue has been decreased or even eliminated. it's date is 20200722. Already Uploaded.

Battery life

In Magisk settings, hide Magisk (this will rebuild Magisk with random package id). Then enable Magisk Hide and select all sensitive apps (such as netbanking apps, Google Pay, etc. Google Play Services is selected by default). Reboot. All good.
Be aware that some modules can break device fingerprint and SafetyNet, tho.

Project Sakura is a custom ROM based on Lineage OS, It tries to remain true to it while also providing some more functionality and UI changes. Its sole purpose is to provide a platform which is powered by Lineage and is more customisable than Lineage.
Code:

A huge thanks to @firebird11, @MajorP93 and @KakatkarAkshay for the device tree and still keep maintaining it. The device tree will mostly follow @firebird11 's crDroid 7.x changes so if you like this ROM please say thanks to him.
ROM OS Version: Android 11
ROM Kernel: Linux 4.x
Based On: Lineage OS 18.1
For Gapps, check out @MajorP93 LineageOS microG post and scroll down to HOW TO GET GAPPS IN THE VANILLA VERSION OF THIS ROM part to flash OpenGapps alongside with the ROM

For microG, you can install Magisk and then install microG Installer Revived module. But if you want to use Play Store instead of FakeStore like me who use it for Poweramp activation, read this post by los-legacy to flash the NanoDroid Play Store package + microG Installer Revived using OrangeFox Recovery. Note that you can flash the latest version of microG Installer Revived instead of the one in the post.

Great to see another unique addition to the Nord community . Thank you !
I just found out that if you use Gesture Navigation it will cause FOD to glitch. To fix this issue you have to hide the Gesture Bar on the length part like picture 1 or else use other navigation, FOD will work fine again.
So to developers or maintainer for this phone, if anyone told that FOD doesn't work on your ROM please check whether they are using Gesture Navigation or not. (except ROMs that have a thin bar like Lineage, that ROM bar is so thin that it doesn't affect FOD at all)

Well if you flash a custom kernel then yea it will work
However, I am planning to switch kernel in the next October patch that merged latest CAF tag by myself
October patches is here and time for a new update
Here's the changelog today :
- Merged latest October patch
- Using new source built kernel with some changes like :
+ DT2W
+ NFC fixed
+ Latest kona/11.0.0 CAF tag merged (LA.UM.9.12.r1-13200-SMxx50.0)
+ Updated simple_lmk
+ Wireguard
+ Westwood TCP Congestion, BBR is the 2nd choice.
+ Compile with crDroid clang 12.0.7 + LTO + Polly optimization.
- Fixed choosing refresh rate (both min/max) not showing up.
- Lineage's Gallery got replaced with OneplusGallery (preparing to port OneplusCamera soon)
- z-order FOD combining with the new source-built kernel fixed a lot of problem relate to FOD.
- Fixed WARP Charging not visible.
This update mark a major milestone with lots of new changes so I don't think that we are ready for OTA yet, but you can still dirty flash if you want. So go to Project Sakura now to grab the latest zip, have fun
(Note : there is a gappscore version in avicii folder, but don't flash it. PS team currently still encouraging to maintain only 1 variant so I choose vanilla. You won't get any new updates if you flash that version so again DO NOT FLASH GAPPSCORE BUILD)
Sorry for a long inactive time, but I'm back with January 2022 update
This time we will switch to @firebird11 device tree, based on what he did in crDroid. A lot of thanks to him because not only the tree is good, but also it provide a very cool thing : Oneplus Camera. Yes you heard it right, OOS Camera is here in the ROM, there are some feature is lacking or even unable to use unless SELinux is set to permissive but it's here.
The rest of the changes are nothing much, there's Dolby Audio but I tried to use it with my DAC but I don't like it, you can try them if you want.
Anyway, here's the changelog :
- Merged January patch
- Migrating to @firebird11 crDroid device tree, which include :
+ Dimension update
+ Oneplus Settings tab
+ Dolby Audio
+ Oneplus Camera (partially working)
+ 5G Mode Switcher
- Firmware update to OOS 11.1.7.7
- Latest kona/11.0.0 CAF tag merged (LA.UM.9.12.r1-13800-SMxx50.0)
Also in this build, I cherry-pick a commit on system/core to fix f2fs degradation thanks to this tweet by arter97. The commit has been merged into PS main source and we are the first device to have it
And due to the fact that a lot of people can't install Gapps on this ROM, I still compile Gapps-Core version alongside with Vanilla, but remember, I won't make OTA for that version, only Vanilla

hello, how is the performance of this ROM? Do you have any BUT?
1) Does this pass SafetyNet?
2) Does this have the same features as CrDroid v8.7?
Hello,
Very impressed by the fact that you still provide the last security updates for the CrDroid 7 (A11) rom, I installer this more recent CrDroid 8 (A12) rom on my second daisy (A13 version is still a but young for my usage). I hope I won't encounter any issue and in such case that you will maintain it as well as the previous version (3 security updates/year is fine)
PS: Unfortunately I have a significant issue with the Voltage OS A13 rom (see dedicated topic) and no solution yet which is the reason why I started looking elsewhere...
Edit: no play store with NikGapps-core-arm64-12.1-20220905-signed following the installation instructions, nor magisk. I had to reinstall the last version. I think the installation instruction are false, you need to reboot to recovery after twrp flash to install magisk and the gapps properly.
Edit2: play store won't connect: "no internet connection" but I am connected via wifi...
Edit3: after a new proper install (reboot to recovery after twrp flash and magisk install AFTER gapps, not in inverse order in queue) everything seems ok
Can someone tell me if SafetyNet is passed in this ROM?

I've tried this rom today, but GUI is kinda buggy. Navigation bar is moved to the right corner and distance between buttons is quite small. I've also experienced UI bugs when changing the settings. It's bit unstable but i think that You can fix it soon.

I love this ROM so far!
In terms of looks and customisation, this is basically a spiritual successor to the long discontinued dotOS. Because dotOS was my favourite, I absolute adore this ROM, too.
The only bug I noticed is that ZGCam freezes and stops working after a few seconds on this ROM. But I think it can be fixed with a different GCam APK. Just please send me a link to a version that works on this ROM.
Other than that, this ROM is fantastic so far! It even picks up legacy signals for calls.

Someone in the community recommended me versions, but they still do the freezing, or they won't even try to load and crash on start.
I'm starting to think this is a camera library issue. On crDroid, GCam worked excellent!

This just confirms it; this bug is related to the camera library shipping with BananaDroid.
So I want this bug fixed in the next release alongside an implementation of OTA updates. Probably with the option to safely upgrade between major Android versions when a new major release of BananaDroid comes out based on Android 14.
