Hello everybody!
I've installed the pixel experience rom on my xiaomi in order to resolve a slow connection issue. Problem is solved but i'm facing another issue: phone shut down automatically; sometimes restart correctly sometimes goes in bootloop, so i need to access twrp and flash the rom again.
I don't know how to resolve this issue.
Note: i downloaded ROM and firmware from the official website.
I'd like also to ask which camera can i install (google camera, downloaded from playstore, crashes). The one preinstalled is not good at all.

I got this phone a few days ago and it would be good if it didn’t have 3 annoying problems which are disconnects from wifi (plus it won't reconnect), camera won't open (it says the gallery has stopped working) and google now searches come up blank, the only way to fix these is to reboot the phone and I have to do this 3 times a day, is this a rom problem or a problem with the phone itself? I have the default rom which came rooted

Hi, you should try to flash a new rom (stock rom, or custom rom like eragon). Serveral users have reported similar problems and have solved with a new rom.
If you don't want to install a new rom, you could try first to wipe data (Factory reset)
Regarding to these problems i think you are using the original Stock ROM first version from the 25072015.
This version had a lot of bugs, like the camera problem,... I think you must update the ROM before you can be happy with the P8000.
There is a new Stock ROM published on the 09.09.21015 or some custom ROMs to update your Phone.

Hi community,
Long time user of XDA, new user of a Xiaomi Mi 5s.
Brand new, stock MIUI8, I'm getting the error can't connect to camera. I've tried a couple of thing... rebooting obviously, and clearing the data of the camera app, no luck.
Even going into that weird test mode, I don't get any response from the rear or front camera.
Any ideas?

Ok, I think I know the reason.
It looks like the brilliant minds from the shop (honorbuy) flashed the Global Developer ROM for the mi 5s plus on my mi 5s.
Luckily, it looks like my bootloader is unlocked, so I'll try flashing the proper European version to see what happens.
I will report, maybe it will be helpful for others.
Confirmed. The problem was that the shop flashed the wrong ROM on this phone. After flashing a proper ROM (from xiaomi.eu) on the phone, everything is working properly.

Hello Guys! I recently started to notice a very odd issue on my zuk z2 plus. I currently am running AospExtended ROM V6.4 (Android 9, Pie) with magisk installed. But this problem started before magisk was installed.
What happens is when i unlock my phone, after a mere 2 seconds, the touch absolutely freezes. I mean the screen is on, hardware buttons (U touch, Power & Volume Rocker) work, and i can even receive notifications, which means the phone is working, but the screen is not? If I turn off the device (Not Power Off, Just a tap of the power button) and unlock again, the touch resumes, but only for 2 seconds. This can be done infinitely. Reboots, shutdowns, forced power off, recovery etc all seem to go in vain, though some lucky reboots can save the day. Also, if I unlock the phone and then open google in a flash and start typing anything, it sometimes works and the touch resumes. This issue also persists in Safe Mode.

Keep in mind that I faced the same issue on my previous rom, Resurrection Remix v6.0 Oreo. I can always provide additional information if anyone wants. If anyone has faced the same issue, or has the fix to this, please do tell me as it is very difficult to manage.
Did you change something in root partition. I had the same issue in msm xtended when i deleted some app from system but after dirty flash it was solved.

No, I did not do anything, also, the issue persists in safe mode too, so that means no 3rd party app is causing it.

It could be a rom issue, try posting it on rom thread. Sorry i may be of no help.
have you tried to QFIL to latest zui and observe if the issue persist in zui as well??
Same problem here. Never rooted my z2, don't even have twrp installed. Always have been on 2.5.104 ST rom.
Really frustrating issue caused by Lenovo. Will ever avoid any Lenovo devices in future.

As a matter of update:
I got my z2 repaired locally. Service diagnosed short-circuit failure of the sensor. Nasty /really wanted to use another word here/ production quality by lenovo. Cost me around $60.

Since I got the latest Oxygen OS update (I'm on Oxygen OS 9.0.4) . My Phone App has started crashing if I make a outgoing call or get one. First the Phone App crashes and then the system UI Crashes. The Phone was working fine till this update.
Thinking this is an issue with the Oneplus Oxygen OS update, i tried to move to Pixel Experience OS. The version I installed worked well but again when i did a OTA upgrade the same issues started recurring. There I also faced crashes if I used the camera app.
Frustrated I moved back to the Stock Rom.. But the Problem of the Calling app still exists. I"ve tried installing alternate diallers but its the same effect. I'm attaching my log file here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nLldKekVd_ZLWRghbPeJP94cdimQpsf6/view?usp=sharing
Can you guys help figure out whats happening ?

try clean flash any beta version of oos , or use unbrick tool to restore all firmware to factory setting.

I tried doing the clean flash to the latest Beta.. But still getting the crashes. Will try un bricking now.. However is there a chance its related to the hardware ?

Currently none. The phone was on Stock Oxygen till 3 odd months ago and was working fine. After one of the OTA Updates, this problem started happening. Since I could not find any consistent users reporting the same issue on Oxygen, I decided at that point to try using a different ROM and switched to Pixel experience. The phone worked ok for 2 weeks or so post that. Again after a new OTA came and I upgraded it started crashing again.
In the team time i saw another update to Oxygen had come so it thought i'd try going back to stock.. But not avail. Its still crashing.. Its only the Phone App that acts up. Everything else works fine. However the first time this issue came video playback was also freezing.
The logs that i have posted show these crashes but I dont have enough knowledge as yet to understand the reason.
After the above response to try clean flashing the latest Beta. But the issue persists..
Try see if the phone app is set as standard app for handling phone calls.

Tried that ..it is set as default.. The latest trial I did is cleanflashed an older version official ROM v5x of Oxygen OS... Problem is still the same..
Infact worse.. now I've got the settings app crashing and random reboots in addition to the phone app crashing !
I'd thought if this issue is due to post 9.02 upgrades this would solve it . But it's made it worse..

My first post but hopefully helpful
I bought a 7t and as most people on here began to debloat with adb no root.
After debloating reflashing official rom twice i experienced extreme overheating to the point i had to put the phone down
I figured out this was happening everytime i adb uninstalled com.oneplus.houston
Im assuming this is some part of the kernal relating the regulation of the battery.
So anyway having over heating issues on official (try and leave houston alone) and on custom roms maybe try a different kernal and report to kernal developers
i also debloated few oneplus & google apps using tutorial. my phone's camera part get heated... device is Oneplus 7.

if your camera section is heating up ypu have probably disabled a camera service.

However. Since my post i did a factory reset and downloaded oxygen updater and installed the newest beta rom via local update and debloated the houston app and everything else the overheating has stopped
so i would recommend downloading oxygen updater amd choosing the full beta release and flash that via local update
