Theoretically, the method to root the S10/S10+/S10e should work on the S10 Lite too. The stock firmware is already available via Frija/SamFirm, or you can download it from databases like SamFrew.com, SamMobile.com, etc.

It may or may not work.
Theoretically, since the S10 Lite comes with an SD SoC, there could be two ways to do it.
1) By patching the AP firmware file using Magisk Manager, and then flashing the patched boot (along with other partitions BL, CP, and CSC) via Odin.
2) By flashing the Magisk zip via TWRP. But since TWRP isn't available, that's a no go (for now).

For either method, an unlocked bootloader is a must.
And yes, I think that could be done by enabling the OEM unlocking toggle in Developer Options. Topjohnwu already has it covered in his installation guide here.
Keep me updated I plan to purchase this phone
Is there any rooting method without tripping knox yet?
Apart from that, I think sth's gonna change when S20 comes. Maybe someone makes a twrp and stock rom from S20.
Did someone root it successfully?

The G970U version has a SnapDragon CPU platform which is impossible to be rooted due to locked bootloader.
Samsung doesn't care about a minority.

A quick question that I am sure is stupid as no one seems to be talking about it...
Now that the Z1c can have a true recovery from Sony, do we not have other options such as flashing a pre-rooted image or SuperSU from that? I would much rather unlock my BL than mess with KingRoot.

Sony recovery doesn't have any extra capabilities over old recovery, it's just a different partition. However, with BL unlocked, rooting is no issue. Fastboot will flash any kernel/ recovery you want, and you can flash root

Hello Comunity.
i'm a new user of sm-g532M (mexico), my questions is:
Does this device have a bloatware free stock firmware? 'cause in sammobile.com there are only 3 files but already with carrier bull**** (iusacell, movistar, telcel)
Or the only way to debloat it is through root.
just asking because i saw dev sub_zero has been working to port LOS to this device (can't wait to flash a stable version of it)
thanks in advance for your comments.

No, you have to manually remove bloatware. Not many devs are working on this ROM.
As for a stable version of LOS, there's still a LONG way to go.

Well If you have a sprint sim it will change it to sprint the csc stuff is set by what sim you have you could manipulate this on earlier versions of nougat but not now. It is possible to use TMO csc on sprint but you would have to run a safetrap system so you can modify the csc features .xml If you want to go back to stock firmware you simply flash it. Safetrap does not replace the stock recovery. You can still boot to stock recovery with safetrap installed

Root uses combo bootloaders so yes it is limited to 80% battery. If you choose to use pie or oreo you will have safestrap recovery but no root and there will be no battery restrictions
This combo firmware is not meant to be used as everyday firmware. Its only a tool to do certain functions that are not possible on regular firmware

It is working, first enable OEM unlocking. Then go into download mode (it is a little tricky, but this video works for the phone-:
. Then hold volume up and wait. I had to wait around 5 minutes but then it rebooted and started the setup.
Then I installed Magisk without TWRP. By downloading the file from samsungs servers directly. Setting the region to INS and setting the ROM info to the latest update. Then I decrypted and extracted it and sent the TAR file of the boot to Magisk app. Magisk app modified it to allow for root. Then I took the modified image file and then used Odin to flash it.
The instructions in the NaldoTech website work fine, it is just not very clear because of all the different links for everything and not having one page for the whole process.
