You need an encrypted data partition, but sadly this means TWRP can't read data, and it wont boot when installed, only through fastboot boot twrp.img
Thanks, i will try.

Working well on the xt1952-4. Got Magisk installed as well, and disabled the phh-supersu app and a couple other apps I've never heard of. The auto brightness and fingerprints, is that something fixable in the near future? I will l likely keep for a daily driver ROM, especially with those fixes.. Either way, thanks for the ROM here. Worked when other GSIs failed. ?
Anybody has tested this gsi with xt1952-6 variant?
Anybody got this working on boost mobile when the rom setups it says sprint I tried to input the boost apn settings I always use with android 10 GSIs that always works and it’s not working here I can’t get data working on any android 9 GSI at least this one shows a Provider in mobile data other pie GSIs just show 31000 in mobile data I just need this to work I can’t install gps joystick as a system app in Q GSI roms to use system mode but it works in pie ROMS I use it together with smali patcher to avoid rubberbandin

@PoochyX, in fastboot mode, try configuring the /carrier partition and /fsg to Boost Mobile.
fastboot oem config carrier boost
fastboot oem config fsg-id boost
I have not yet tried this ROM on my Boost device. But those config commands have worked on my other Moto devices when using custom ROMs. Just an idea. These commands prompt the /utags partition to configure the device to specific mobile providers, such as Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, etc.
I got it i had to upgrade modem back to android 10 and then data configured properly

That's good to know @PoochyX. Thanks for confirmation on that. By upgrading the modem back to Android 10, I'm assuming you mean the stock Android 10 Retail firmware. Are you referring to NON-HLOS.bin only or NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn? Thanks again.

Yeah the issue is if you have upgraded to android 10 then you have to use the android 10 modem & fsg with android 9 and Android 10 GSIs (and also u would get signal issues with a android 9 modem on android 10 (even if u didn't upgrade to stock 10 to have to revert to a android 10 modem) also the android 10 DSP bin (adspso) or you won't hear anything when you call somebody but the android 9 dtbo cause android 9 GSIs won't boot with android 10 dtbo but android 10 GSIs can boot with android 9 dtbo...

Hi, I'm on the latest android security update and can't get viper4android to work. It keeps asking me to install the drivers, I did follow the steps on the other forums on here but still hasn't worked does anybody know how to get it running on the most current version of Android with magisk?
Additionally I followed the instructions on here and still no dice

I did and still no luck I'll try again just in case I guess
I installed the Viper4Android fx module from Magisk and it works fine for me.
Sent from my Pixel 3 XL
Thank you this is what ended up working for me I just used the same steps and subbed in the APK for from magisk downloads
It is strange because the apk installs a module when you install the driver.
So viper4android broke again tried instructions and nothing even the alternative. So if anyone knows or can point me in the direction of I would appreciate it
I can personally tell you I've tried everything under the sun and have no luck whatsoever. It seems to work for some people but not for most. I messaged the new developer for V4A and have gotten zero response. So I'm assuming they don't really give a damn if it works or not. This is such a well-known issue that if they cared and/or had the knowledge to fix it it would have been done by now. Unfortunately the original developer of V4A no longer heads the project so much like many other mods on Android this may have gone the way of the dodo
Damn, kinda figured the same but hoped not. I've done the same things used 10 sets of instructions and same thing no dice?*
Have you tried JamesDSP? Very similar to Viper in terms of functionality and it works a lot more consistently for me although I'm still on Android 9
I used the instructions on jpoirer.net and it worked. It took a few tries to get the order correct but eventually I got there. I'm only on the February update though.
If you just need an EQ that may work, try the Wavelet app.

Hi all,
As you have probably seen Android 10 is beginning to roll out with firmware 53.1..A.2.2. Currently 2 available versions one is for Ireland with 3 branding and the second is for South Africa. I have flashed the 3IE one today. Seems very good. Everything working and snappy to navigate. Downside is a 3 splashscreen at boot.
I can also report latest magisk works for root and with magiskhide Google Pay is working.
If you want to install then this guide will show you how. https://www.xperiablog.net/2018/01/28/newflasher-guide-to-install-new-firmware-for-xperia-xz-premium-xz1-and-more/

Yes!! Battery drains well quick! Apart from that no issues!!
This is the generic instructions I used to get root to work on my Sony Xperia 10 (Model I3123) - Build 53.1.A.2.2.
Download TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-3-kirin.img) on PC.
Download Magisk Manager 7.5.1 on phone. Run. Download the latest Magisk 20.4 (20400) through app.
Put phone into fastboot mode - Power off. Hold Volume Up while plugging USB into PC. Phone LED will be Blue.
via ADB command prompt on PC, run "fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-3-kirin.img"
Phone should automatically reboot into TWRP Recovery. Select Read Only. Click Install. Install the Magisk app.
Once rebooted, you should have root.
Thanks for your post OP. I didn't know it was going to be so easy to get root on Android 10.

I recall in the past, I lost a few SD cards during rooting or upgrading a rom. I don't know why it happened. Could you check another sd card? Or maybe try this SD card on another phone to pin point where the issue is. Was the SD card working prior to rooting? FYI My SD card works fine. Everything is working as it is on Android 9.0.

Hello Everyone.
I have xiaomi redmi note 8 pro and global mode with android 10. Soon I will be able to unlock the bootloader and do root.
I wonder if there is a way to get the ability to record a conversation?
Is there perhaps some Roma who supports recording conversations?
Thanks in advance
You can flash Indonesian rom
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-8-pro/help/call-recording-indonesia-rom-t4043161
Or with root use call recording app (trial)
https://callrecorder.skvalex.com/get
Thanks
I unlocked the bootloader yesterday, installed the Indonesian sw, did the root and finally installed Axet's Call Recorder through the magisk manager, set it up and the recording works perfectly, and during playback my voice and the interlocutor's voice are heard literally perfectly.

Indonesian rom should have miui call recording,
so no need for another recording app. But glad it works for you.
Hello, currently with Global variant redmi n8p, on Global Stock miui 11 with bootloader unlocked, and Magisk, LTR TWRP installed.
Question 1: Wonder if i can use twrp to install Indonesian miui 12 by wiping system, dalvik, cache, and then installing complete Indonesian miui 12 zip? Anything that i need to pay attention to with this route?
Question 2: Anything i will miss swapping from Global to Indonesian rom?
Thanks in advance!
I am very satisfied with how the Indonesian rom works. I didn't notice any difference in relation to the global rum I had. Indonesian rom is not installed via recovery. It is installed using miui tools. I will try to find the video on youtube so I will hang it here. Just so you know that after installing Indonesian rom you will have to unlock the bootloader again and reinstall twrp recovery and magisk, but all this is done in a few minutes so it is no problem. Since Indonesian rom is the official miui rom, it means that it is as stable as global rom so you have nothing to fear.

Fastboot ROM Installation
Fastboot ROMs come with a .tgz file extension and require a Windows computer for the installation, as well as a phone with an unlocked bootloader. However, despite being comparatively more complicated to install than Recovery ROMs, Fastboot ROMs are sometimes the only way to boot into a working system. For instructions on unlocking the bootloader of your phone, check your device’s subforums on XDA.
Download MiFlash Tool on your Windows computer. The latest version can be found in Step 1*of this link. Once downloaded, extract the tool and install it. It is also advisable to have*ADB*and Fastboot installed, just in case you need it.
Reboot your phone into Download mode by powering it off and then pressing both the Power and Volume Down buttons together.
Connect your phone to the computer using the appropriate USB cable.
Download the Fastboot ROM .tgz file and extract it. Remember the extract location, as you will need to paste the address into MiFlash Tool.
Run MiFlash Tool on your Windows Computer and in the address bar within the tool, paste the extract location from Step 4.
Click “Refresh” within MiFlash and the app should automatically recognize your device.
Click “Run” within MiFlash to flash the ROM file to the device.
The progress bar within MiFlash will turn green, which indicates that the ROM was successfully installed. Your device should boot automatically to the new version.

Hello,
I have a OnePlus 8 Pro device that has been stuck at version IN2023_11_C.21 for some time.
I've seen versions up to C33 come out, but never received them.
If I remember correctly, I upgraded from Android 11 to 12, via Oxygen Updater.
Now, on this app it tells me that setting the device as EU is wrong: I have to put INDIA, but I bought it from the official EU store.
So I'm quite confused and I would like to bring my device back to an official rom, then hoping for the update to 13.
I've read a few conversations, but there are a lot of procedures and I haven't figured out which one is the most correct to do.
Thanks for the replies.

Make sure all your computer drivers are up to date including the optional ones.
Don't try to get in EDL mode. Start MSM and hit the start button so it will be looking for your phone. Plug it in to your computer and hold down volume up + volume down and the power key. It can be off or on when you start this. It should grab hold and start installing and then let go of the buttons. When you hard reset from an phone that's on, it puts in EDL mode automatically.

That Param preload fail error cause you don't have the qualcomm driver. Check the MSM page for the download.

There is a comment somewehere that says u have to mod of a newer rom a txt...
I think that's your solution. If u know the exact odel u have (and region) use oxygen updated to download the correct rom
Inside zip file (I open it in 7zip) open "payload_properties.txt" in Notepad and change one line from:
oplus_update_engine_verify_disable=0
to:
oplus_update_engine_verify_disable=1
And save it - I do it at computer so 7zip repack only this changed file.

Jimger is right, one addition. Don't extract payload_properties file, but rather edit it in archive. Idk why, but only editing file while being in archive works for me. Additionally you MUST have OPLocalUpdateForAndroid12.apk to make it work. When i was on OOS12 i installed beta 2 of OOS13 this method, then upgraded to Global OOS 13 when it was out, then yesterday i flashed EU version (sincerely i don't see any difference, only for some reason in IN build i got... VoLTE somehow), so now i'm at OOS13 EU.
