Hi, I've just registered in this forum, though I've been reading you guys for almost a year. I just want to say that you guys are awesome, i've learned too much about android because of you.
Introduction
Said that, I recently had a problem with my P350g, I'll try to be as clear as possible hoping you can help me out.
The problem came after i installed CM 9 [stable 8] on it, at first it worked perfectly (a very few panics or reboots but i'm used to it :laugh. The next day after taking a photograph the cellphone got stuck, it had done that several times before with some other ROMs so i didn't pay much attention to it, so i took the battery off and put it again, and when I tried to turn it on, there it was, the lg logo with the 4 softkeys blinking.
-- It doesn't enter to recovery (i had recovery installed at that time) pressing [- power send] at the same time, it just stays there with the lg logo blinking.
-- It does enter to the emergency mode (yellow background with "emergency mode" in black letters) pressing [+ - power] at the same time.
-- It does enter to the fastboot mode pressing [+ power send] at the same time.
what i've already tryed:
--- i've read the wiki about this phone and try everything there (and everything found on google which is pretty much the same)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/LG_Optimus_Me
--- i've tryed using the KDZ updater as somebody on this forum recommended:
http://multidroid2.feed.nu/2012/03/27/how-to-unbrickflash-your-optimus-melg-p350-2/
using firmware from here:
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=5
and from somewhere else on the internet, the problem here is, that when it comes to "restart the phone", it doesn't start, it just keeps getting stuck on the lg logo with the 4 softkeys blinking, after some time the KDZ updater shows an error: Upgrade Error WParam: 100 LParam: 6
--- i've tryed flashing the recovery from fastboot mode as shown on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131247
it flashes well, everything "succeeded" but whe it comes to reboot (flashboot reboot) the cellphone says on the screen rebooting cellphone (or something like that) but it never reboots. if I take the battery off and put it on again, and then try to turn it on, the cellphone shows at the same problem, the lg logo with 4 softkeys blinking.
--- I've also tryed this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948326
it hasn't solved my problem either.
Computers' info
I've tried this on 2 computers:
windows 7 x86
windows 8 x64
both of them have the drivers installed, I've disabled the modem on both of them, both of them have the latest android SDK tools
both computers give me the same problems, please i need your help, i'm desperate, I've been with this problem for several days and I can't solve it. I hope you can help me out
bump!
Anybody? please, i'm desperate
Hi,
Let's hope for the good

thanks for answering, yes i did overclock it really high ~804MHz can't remember the exact number, but with other roms it had been working at that level of overclock without any problems (besides the casual panics and reboots) for more than half a year.
i'm going to try flashing the rom from flashboot and see what happens
I couldn't fash a rom via fastboot

Hi everybody, i tried to flash a zip containing the rom on my p350, though i could not flash it. i used the command:
fastboot flash system rom.zip
but it says the file/rom size was smaller than expected. (honestly i can't remember the actual sentence) and then it says (x < y) where x is the suposed size of the rom and y is the expected size.
i tried with several roms, and a backup a user uploaded somewhere which was suposedly legitimate.
Is there something i can do?
download lg mobile support tool (lg mobile updater)
make sure that the driver is installed on the computer
open it
let it reconize the phone then
click recover phone from CS
the phone will be returned to latest stock rom for your country
then intsall recvoery again and root again
My Method
Well you need usb debugging enabled.Remove phone's batytery and connect it to pc via usb.It will boot up (horribly of course ignore it). Then fire up the kdz updater and start the flashing process.Once the phocess starts midway anywhere in the process insert the battery. The process will complete then KDZ will sat update complete...REBOOTING....and as battery is inserted it will reboot.Voila.Hope it works for you. This is my routine method.(Bricked more than 7 times lol).
Thanks for replying

thanks for the answer, I tried that way, though it keeps getting stuck in the LG logo with the 4 blinking softkeys when it comes to reboot the cellphone.
Okay, first of all, I would like to mention that I'm new at all of this.
I brought this phone 2 years ago and 2 months ago I decided I was going to root it. So I switched to CyanogenMod 11 M4 and did everything that was required i.e., unlocking bootloader and flashing a recovery and all that.
Just 2 days ago my phone showed an update available to CyanogenMod 11 M5. So I downloaded it and then the phone took me to my recovery. There I made a backup and flashed the M5.zip file that was downloaded. But when I rebooted my system a popup came saying com.process.phone has stopped unexpectedly. I pressed OK but it was persistent. I had no idea what to do so I booted into recovery and wiped data and then performed a restore of my previous backup that I had taken. Half-way through the backup the phone just switched off and then restarted with the traditional HTC logo and then it switched off again and restarted again and this process kept looping.
I loaded my bootloader and connected the phone via fastboot to my computer and erased the cache and flashed the recovery again. Then wehn I restored it started working normally as it did before.
But the battery was around 20% at that time so I left it to charge overnight. When I woke up the next day it was insanely hot and the LED was constantly red but it wouldnt wake up. So I loaded into recovery to restore it again but it kept on saying "Error mounting /system!"
And then after a few tries it switched off. Now it won't wake up again. Even the LED seems dead.
Has anyone of you ever encountered a similar issue? Any help would be appreciated. I've tried all the button combinations that are recognized by the device but nothing seems to work.
dead battery
i guess its because of corrupt or dead battery
try giving external power or replace battery and try
further you could even try other options like booting cwm
flashing last kernel image found

Booting CWM or flashing the last kernel image aren't an option because the device doesn't switch on at all. I cannot access the bootloader.
try changing battery
try changing battery by buying new battery and connecting
or remove battery and charge it with external source i guess u must have heard of jump starting battery

No, I didn't do that because when I switched over from a CM11 Nightly to CM11 Snapshot M4 I didn't extract and flash the boot image even then and everything was working perfectly. So, I didn't think I would need to.

U should give it a try, since some CM updates triggers the kernel itself so boot.img should be flashed again.

That is the problem. I can't. When I connect it to the PC it just never shoes up and I have no luck getting into the bootloader. Do you know of any reliable unbricking guides? I'm guessing my phone is possibly bricked.

Nah, nothing is suitable. There are guides on how not to brick your device but nothing to unbrick it. :|
Thanks anyways. It's appreciated.
Another bricked HOX apparently. There seem to be loads of these on the internet. In my case, it can't have to do with custom roms or rooting since I never messed around with stuff like that. I even opened the HOX and checked all cables etc. There is no part that looks damaged or otherwise suspicious.
What can we do? How can we at least get access to the data in the internal memory?
Don't know if this will help, but it might be that it hasn't actually charged properly over night and has drained itself to death.
Try plugging into PC and get to fast boot.
Fastboot = Volume Down + Power Button
Then make a batch file out of this:
" @echo off
:start
fastboot getvar battery-voltage
fastboot reboot-bootloader
ping /n 6 localhost >nul
goto start
"
Click to collapse
Then run the Batch File
Credit to Floepie for writing the .bat

Unfortunately, there's no way this could help. because the HOX is literally dead. There is not even a charging indication when plugged into a PC or the wall charger. And thus it's not recognised by the PC and fastboot won't find it.
So my mom had an LG G3 D850 from at&t. was totally fine, then she updated whatever she had to 6.0 and it started bootlooping. Tried the LG Flash tool with a tot stock firmware. Went through the whole process got the blue screen with the red 3, it restarted, kept bootlooping. Tried it again but then it got stuck on 5% for like 4 hours, unplugged it and now no matter what i do i cant get into download mode. It shows the LG screen then goes straight to firmware update (even if i dont hold vol up) and it says 910K Bxx QEM (the xx changes) I was able to get into recovery mode, recovered it. same thing. Im losing my mind a little bit here so any advice, or pointing me to a tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Ive looked all over the internet and cant find anything helpful apparently the qualcomm thing where you short the motherboard doesnt work for this phone either?
*flips desk*
If it is under warranty .send your phone to at&t to get it fixed.

Qualcmomm method you are describing is just to bring your phone into download mode. I have done this to my brother's g3. You have to flash using LG flashtool using different settings and then hard reset your phone. If it doesn't solve your problem.try to replace battery and then use custom rom.
tried that

Hello,
My S4 Mini I9192 Suddenly died while charging overnight and now no response whatsoever. Only thing I know is that I am in 9008 mode.

I read a little about using qfil some time ago, and even if you can find the files I don't think it will work on Samsung phones, though I stopped researching when I read the following link (luckily my phone was not bricked, so I didn't need to), he says QFIL won't work as Samsung do not use the default options (well that was my understanding)
http://www.androidbrick.com/unbrick...-have-the-right-kind-of-rom-qhsusb_dload_edl/
I think the only option is take it to a repair shop for jtag or new emmc/motherboard, but I could be wrong. (or buy an old phone with cracked screen and use the motherboard from that)
While I was searching the web for files the phone was connected to the pc. It didn't show any signs of life until a battery icon suddenly popped on the screen. I was even able to boot into download mode, but when I went to recovery it said "No Command". Odin recognized the device, I flashed stock, but when i tried to boot it up, It was in a bootloop. I tried flashing many times with no success, still bootloops. Even after the flashing the recovery was in "No Command" mode. Yesterday i tried to flash it for the last time with the same rom, and this time it just booted to the Samsung logo and then turned off. Now I'm back to the 9008 mode. I tried the sdcard method with a debrick.img, no success. Any idea what might be wrong with the phone?
Okay so now I'm again in download mode, but everytime i boot up the samsung logo distorts and stock recovery shows up but it says E: Can't mount /cache or smth. I've read that i need the correct pit file, apparently the one I have is for the 8gb version. Can anybody send me the .pit file for the 16gb version?

Hey, Hi.
So same thing happened with me, I was on Stock Kitkat S4 mini i9192, phone froze while using and never booted up. But then I left it connected to laptop and it vibrated and showed the battery icon and I got every problem same as you, like no command, boot loop, and again phone went into QHS_DLoad mode.
I want to know that how did you manage to get back into the Odin Download mode again because since the last time my phone didn't show any sign of life and I also want to know if you were able to fix it? I have not tried debrick.img yet. Please help to fix my phone

Thank you, I was thinking that once the battery is empty and when you connect it via USB mode, it reboots itself, so maybe that is why you got the second chance with it but when I got the phone turned on, I charged it up to 90 percent and now my battery is not draining. Previously my phone died when it was having around 35% of charge which was drained in 20 days. So I have avery strong reason to believe that its just a corrupt bootloader and I have to flash using pit.

I did try flashing with .pit, but to no avail. Actuall, it recalled to me right know, god knows how I managed to flash stock firmware., BUT, everytime the phone started booting, the samsung loading logo would become slowly more and more distorted, until all my screen became pink with white stripes. It was strange.
Hi guys,
I attached my brand new Galaxy S20 Ultra to my PC and started Smart Switch today. The Software showed an update for my device so I downloaded it and started the update process. Unfortunately, Smart Switch got stuck during the update process at 68%. Nothing happened, cables and all still attached. It just didn't proceed any further for hours.
I decided to take the path of stopping the process, using the key combination shown on my device. It now said, recover your device software with Smart Switch Emergency recovery function. I started this and guess what: it also stopped at 68%.
I "rebooted" the device (volume down + power for approx. 10 seconds) and it starts again in recovery mode.
I manually filled in the recovery code and it seemed like Smart Switch was downloading the OS again. Started the recovery process and it is stuck at 68% again.
Now I am just super afraid that I bricked the device by using Samsungs original software.
Anyone her to help or have similar experiences?
Thanks for any advice on how to proceed.
Julius
What exactly were you trying to do? I mean normally you hook up old phone and use smart switch to update new phone. So why was you connected to a PC? It does sound like you bricked it.
So now you probably need to flash the ROM.
I read that smart switch is a good and valid source to check for updates. I never thought that an official Samsung software can be so bad at something so basic, resulting in bricking my phone...
Stop using smart switch to update your phone. You haven't hard bricked it because you still have recovery. It's called a soft brick. Download Odin 13.3_3B from here on xda. Do not use the 13.4 because it's suspected to have a fishy call back to a server from a dll that's in the program folder. Download the atch firmware for your model from sammobile or get it in this s20 ultra forum. You should be able to flash the new firmware.
Thanks @freebee269. Does flashing the firmware with Odin void my warranty or does this only count for rooting devices? (Sorry for stupid questions)

What kind of USB Port did you use?
Try again using a USB 2.0 port, Samsung always had problems with it's software and USB 3.0 ports.
Use USB 2.0 and try again.
Hi guys, i have a similar problem as (xReem).
Attached my GT SM-T515/10.1 tab to smart switch where the software was unable to recognise my device!? Was advised to use the Emergency Code function but i have no code due to backing up my data to sd card! I have Magisk and TWRP installed where my device was working beforehand, but since attaching to smart switch, my device is now totally "dysfunctional"!!!
Error message as follows...
...An error as occurred while updating the software. Use the Emergency Recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software. ...
Like i sad, i have no code!!!
I am able to get to the device unlock choice screen and if i choose to restart, my device always boots to the Smart Switch Emergency Code screen?! If i choose the device unlock or download screens, both screens are accessible! Tried to flash my original firmware (BTU-T515XXU3ASK5-20191224095700) using Odin3_v3.14.1 and twrp-3.3.1-6-T515XXU3ASK5-20200215 with no joy (Fail!)
Although i'm totally @"#$%* off about this, as its a new device, i am also curious if someone has ever cracked this... 'Smart Switch No Code' problem before. Hmm...
Anyways, any help appriciated...
Oh! Cannot access recovery at all...

Any help appriciated.

Did you ever get things working ? If not, when you flashed with Odin - did you use the PATCHED Version ? THis is necessary when flashing firmware via Odin on the S20 Ultra.....
You can download Odin 3.14.1_3b here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/patched-odin-3-13-1-t3762572
Be sure to download the PATCHED version of 3.14.1_3b (it is located as an attached file at the bottom of the first post in the OP at the link above. Hope this helps.

No, to answer your first question, and yes used the patched version of Odin you state but with no joy.
(would another version of Odin be better for my device model?)
I just need to find a way to flash the original stock recovery. Having the TWRP installed as mentioned earlier is blocking my path, and I have now tripped knox! So no more options available to access the unlock oem screen. Now frp is off, oem is on!
Also, I was wondering if anyone had thought about a totally updated version of the old "ALL IN ONE TOOL" which was available for some earlier makes of phone devices? I think due to manufacturers security upgrades of today's phones we could all do with something like this?
I heard you can do a NAND/Reset wipe via the Odin options screen which would allow you to install a new rom???
Oh, my predicament was based on Julius's post, not xReem. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry for your troubles - wish I could help you but you have done everything I would have tried. Maybe, if you haven't already done this - leave the phone on until the battery runs out completely. Then, recharge the phone for a while so the battery has some juice again and then get the phone back into download mode by pressing volume up and volume down at the same time - then plug in the USB - it shoul.d launch into download mode again - then try flashing again with the patched odin.
If you have already done this - then I don't know how what else to suggest.
I wish you luck and hope you are able to get things working again.

Hi guys,
I attached my brand new Galaxy S20 Ultra to my PC and started Smart Switch today.
Julius

Hey Julius, did you get your phone to work. I am having the same issue.
Update:
I am good now. I was using the thunderbolt cable that came with the phone and update would get stuck at the same point everything with odin 3.13 and 3.14.
I used a USB 3 to thunderbolt cable that I had from an older phone and it work.
What I used:
Windows 10 x64 1909
USB 3 to thunderbolt cable
USB driver downloaded from Samsung support. I think it is the same driver that comes with smart switch because when I installed it, it prompted
to reinstall driver.
Odin3 v3.13.3_3B_PatcheD from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/patched-odin-3-13-1-t3762572. ( I think 3.14 will work too.
I really think the cable was the only problem)
Firmware downloaded with SamFirm

Open Odin as administrator and if using a stock AP file always use the HOME-CSC of the same firmware in CSC slot. Sometimes Odin plays the fool and gets stuck.

Try with all slots filled but with CSC file not HOME-CSC. That may help as it flashes pit file to factory reset

(((SUCCESS)))!!! :laugh::laugh::laugh:
Done what you suggested by waiting until my battery ran out!
I downloaded a different software version and as soon as I plugged my tab into my PC with USB, i flashed the new software with no problems!!!
Flashed TWRP, Magisk and Multidisabler problemless the same!
The lesson learnt here...
...(ONLY FOR THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING)...
...is to probably only have 30% battery when flashing!!! This way you won't have to wait weeks for such a large capacity battery to run down, like I did!
I knew I'd crack it!
