Hello,
I have a Samsung Phone, which has a configured Work Profile which I would like to Activate or Deactivate via a NFC-Stickers. My Workprofile automatically activates/deactivates some Apps and Announcements which I only use for work.
I have tested Several Apps to configure this to a NFC Sticker but I did not find any proper way. Is this even possible ?
Regards,
Kandey

I am wondering if it's possible to schedule to turn Bluetooth on and off at specific times of the day, automatically on our Rhodium
Does anyone know of this is possible?
It's not a freebie, but I use SpbPhoneSuite to provide different "profiles". These can be used to turn on/off bluetooth and can also be configured to activate based on time or other triggers (e.g. during an appointment, when cradled, etc.).
As this is primarily a Today Plugin, I've used "Second Today", which gives me a separate today screen (aside from TouchFlo) which I use to access PhoneSuite and change profile if I need to do it manually.
I had a licence for PhoneSuite from my previous phone, so I didn't care about the cost.

I found G-Profiler. Free and alot of config.
BUT... The Bluetooth part dont work.
I've found the reg key for BT on the Rodium:
HKLM\system\state\hardware\
bluetooth=8 is the value for off
bluetooth=9 is the value for on
I havn't found the place to put that value in G-Profiler.
But it's possible to call a prg instead. Mortscript to change this reg-value?
Is this the easiest way? I've had this problem in other prg aswell, so i'd like to know.
Thanks for your replt, however I read that HTC switched from the WM BT-stack, to the WidComm BT-stack and SPB Suite will no longer control BT as we would expect.
Any other ideas?

With SBSH Phoneweaver, Profiling works fine with Bluetooth. Make sure that you use version 1.4.2 (the issue with the BT Stack has been solved in this version)

Ahhh - I'd seen the Bluetooth option, but not actually tried to use it in anger.
D'oh!
Phoneweaver looks as though it might also do the trick, though...
I have a Kenwood KDC-MP642U car audio system with Bluetooth capabilities and I have my HTC Touch Pro 2 [t-mobile] successfully paired and working great with 1 annoying exception.
As soon as the units connect to each other the contacts / phone book start downloading from the phone to the Kenwood system which is fine, however..... after EVERY call the contacts download fully again making the phone barely usable [slow] until the full phone book is downloaded. [90 secs for 150 contacts]
There is no setting on the Kenwood unit to not allow automatic download... if the phone supports it.... it will download. I was told by sales rep that his Kenwood did that as well and just to live with it ? ? ? ? ? ?
I have tried to find the appropriate registry setting on TP2 to deny auto PBAP access and download and cant find any help on this...... any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same setup, and noticed it on my prior phone as well (Motorola KRZR K1). I believe that the phone is updating the "recent calls" list on the headunit. I know for me the second download is MUCH faster than the first.
I haven't seen any information about preventing the update download.
this should do the trick:

Question: does it show up as one of the profiles under the bluetooth paired devices list?
Hi,
I'm very new to takser and I'm trying to figure out a simple task.
For example I want to activate WIFI when a specific application(lets say "calculator" as an example) is running and I want WIFI to stay on as long as the the calculator is active.
I understand that tasker only would do such kind of action as long as the application is in the foreground. But I want to keep WIFI on, also if calculator is active in the background.
So, I've found a plugin : locale app condition. This is compatible with tasker but I can't make it work.
Can anyone help me, how I have to use this plugin.
Cheers,
bamthwok
Late response, I know. But do you still need help with this? If you haven't already figured it out, if you have tasker you don't need the locale plugin to accomplish what you're after - that plugin is specifically for location based tasker profiles.
i.e. turn on wifi when you're at home, turn it off when you're x distance from home.
To accomplish what you're trying to do in tasker, just create a new profile with the condition "application-> calculator" and the task /action "network-> wifi state -> on" and you're done. Have an exit task that turns off wifi in the same way and you're all set.
For bonus points have an additional "if" condition that makes sure this profile doesn't fire if wifi is already active as it's safe to assume that you want wifi on regardless of what the calculator is doing.
p.s.
My phone isn't presently within arms reach so if I've gotten the exact names/locations of the functions you want in tasker wrong, then use some initiative and you'll be all set.
Is there a way to keep bluetooth discovery mode on all the time?
I am aware that this will effect the battery, and that pairing with a device should allow it to connect automatically. In my case, what I need to connect to does not.
I've been searching online but can not find a good answer, other than this is possible in newer android versions. So I don't have my hopes up.

Pretty simple actually... Settings -> Wireless & Network Settings -> Bluetooth Settings -> Check off Discoverable and then change the Discoverable timeout to Never.
I'm not seeing this option listed
Hello all,
I have been researching smartwatches as I would love to get one however i have one caveat, I cannot have bluetooth on at work. Do you know if you can turn bluetooth off on the Zenwatch? I looked through the manual and it didnt mention the option. If not, has anyone come across one that can do this and is actually good?
it has an airplane mode which will turn Bluetooth off
Thats great to know. I didn't remember seeing that in the manual. Does the wellness manager still function without that connection?
I'm not sure as I don't use it, but I would imagine because shouldn't use any wireless sensors to capture data. the only thing would be if it stores the data and syncs once you reconnect the phone. I use up and google fit and if I loose connection the watch just pushes the data to the phone once the connection is reestablished
