Does anyone know if there are any hardware differences between a standard UK Galaxy tab p1000 and a US version.
I like the idea of buying a Sprint P1000 from US (they seem to be coming in quite a bit cheaper than UK bought model) and installing a UK ROM so that I can use it on UK mobile network, but I don't want to rush in and find out later that there is a major issue that would prevent it working in UK
Has anyone on the site maybe done this.
Any assistance/suggestions/experiences gratefully received
Thanks
Addition:
Can anyone say whether US phones will work on UK GSM networks? I'm sure that they do, so the same will be true for Galaxy Tab...just not sure enough to spend £200 ;-)

Wow! Hasn't anyone bought even a phone from US. I guess I'll just have to take a gamble.
I'll post if it all works OK .
I bought a galaxy s2 in Hong Kong, so I have the international version Gs2.
I really need a car dock though and am kind of confused at which USA carrier's accessories I can use / buy.
From what i read, the closest to the international version that would fit in a car dock is t-mobile's version. Can anyone be so kind to confirm?
I would also like to buy the OEM samsung mounts.
Thank you for any responses.
I'm about to buy this watch from Amazon. They have both a US and International version. I have no clue what the difference is. Any recommendations?

I bought the US version and have used it in countries outside US (India, Middle East) without problems. So I am not sure if it matters
Warranty differences. Nothing else.
What about wall chager plug? Does US version come with US type or standart EU type wall charger?
Best,
US version has US plug ( of course.....)
But who cares about that... adapters are $1....
Okay that adapter works
How about watch faces. For example should I use most common moto 360 luxury brand faces like R. Submariner, O.Semaster, T.Heuer etc.
Do these faces also compatible with Huawei watch?
If you guys who have these faces with Huawei would share some images, I will be glad.
Best,
Hello guys...
This is Huawei answer in Amazon:-
"Hello Stephen Munroe, I'd love to answer your question! Certain software updates on the U.S. and international versions of the Huawei Watch are different. For example, the Huawei Watch, featured in China, doesn't have the software update for the speaker that the U.S. Huawei Watch version has. Also, the U.S. watch comes with a 1 year U.S. manufacturers warranty while the international watch does not. (ED)"
Any experience with using the US-version in Europe?

Good question, I've just ordered the US version, I can't see why it wouldn't work here in Europe/UK though ?
I heard the US version is not IP67 certified and may not be as water resistant as the International version? Read that from a review on Amazon.
I'm using Huawei Watch US version in Asia (Pakistan) for a month now. It shouldn't be an issue because the watch doesn't have any network bands which you fear might mess up. I ordered the US version because of that speaker update which, according to Amazon Q&A, didn't land on international version. As for the IP67 certification goes, I didn't expose it to even a drop of water because I don't care if the watch is IP67 or not, speaker definitely isn't and since I'm away from US, I don't have the warranty so I can't risk it.
I was a proud owner of original Moto 360 for a year and half before this. This watch is leaps and bounds better than Moto. You're gonna love it using it and you're gonna love it when people are continuously going to compliment you because this watch is an exquisite piece of technology.

The difference in the Huawei Watch 2 international version & US is this.
Huawei did not release it's stand alone LTE version in the US, the US version lacks a sim card slot & LTE capability, it only runs on Bluetooth & WiFi & NFC.
The international version ha LTE capability, it has a sim card slot & can be used as a stand alone LTE device with it's on phone number so it doesn't need to be connected to a phone, it can run off LTE & WiFi & Bluetooth & NFC.
You're responding with comment about HW 2 to an almost 2 year old post which was about HW 1....??
Hi,
I have a S9+ which I bought directly from samsung. Can I simply take this to india to use during my travels, and any service will work? I checked the bands and there seems to be full support at least on a hardware level. Currently I'm using it on ATT but bought it directly from Samsung if that makes any different. The Model# is SM-965U1
Thanks!
Hello, I am looking to purchase a Samsung S20 5G for use in the UK. I know that the G981B version with the Exynos chip in it is the one that is normally used in the UK. I've been having a hard time finding any of them for sale. The ones I have found are either in very poor condition, or won't ship to the US, or to a parcel forwarding service, or whatever. I do own a factory unlocked G981U1, which is the Snapdragon chip, and is built for the US. I've heard that it can be "used" abroad, but how well, I don't know. Would it work for an extended stay of 18 months using a SIM from one of the local carriers? Would it have issues with not supporting all the bands it should? Just curious because several years ago I purchased an S7 Duos, an international version, and used it in the US. It never seemed to work as well as the ones built specifically for the US. I am just wondering if it would be the same thing using a US phone in the UK?
