Mi A2 lite bootloader stock - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

good afternoon. I have a problem with my mi a2 lite, I can't install the stock rom with the bootloader locked only with the bootloader unlocked. Has anyone ever experienced this ?

That's expected. You can only install OTAs with a locked bootloader.

How to unlock mi max bootloader without permission

So guys,I've applied to unlock my bootloader to xiaomi. After over a month of waiting I don't think are going to send me the SMS,are there any unofficial ways to unlock my mi Max's bootloader as of now?
No, but you can flash TWRP and do anything you want without unlocking it. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/how-to/guide-install-global-miui8-root-t3435594
That's what I have been doing but installing a ROM with a locked bootloader in my case will result in data not working.Ice tried several Roms.
Dont wait for the sms. Try unlocking it using the MiFlashUnlock. It should work. I also did not receive the sms but tried after 3 days and it went through fine. Bootloader is unlocked.

Mi Max 3 Bootloader Unlocked... next steps please.

My bootloader was unlocked via official methods.
My Mi Max 3 is the China version with latest 10.0.0.6.0 rom installed
I want to go over to the Global rom for now, can I install 10.0.0.1.0 (miui_MIMAX3Global_V10.0.1.0.OEDMIFH_220b8e8eab_8.1.zip) without causing any ARB triggers or problems?
You need to download the fastboot IMG not the recovery one. Go here for instructions https://en.miui.com/a-234.html
And it's really important that you don't relock your bootloader, because that bricks your phone. In MiFlash you must select the 'Clean all' option in the bottom right corner.
If you don't want any ARB issues, I recommend following my buggy vendor rom thread in the guides section. Unless you're bootloader locked, I don't see any reason for choosing global over xiaomi.eu roms.
Hello,
I have a global version of Mi Max 3 and MIUI 9.6.7 is installed. I unlocked bootloader with official method. I haven't done anything but temporarily booting TWRP with fastboot method. I haven't flashed TWRP or rooted phone yet.
I noticed Mi Max 3 started to boot very slow after unlocking bootloader. It started to stuck nearly 2 minutes on screen that writes "unlocked". It takes 3 minutes to reboot the phone. And I experienced several hangs, crashes and resets itself after bootloader unlocked. Are there any other people experience similar problems with this phone after unlocking bootloader?
If I re-lock the bootloader without touching anything (without installing TWRP, root, or upgrade current MIUI), is there any possibility to brick Mi Max 3?
Thanks for help

Flash the ROM that came with your device (you can switch for any but the Chinese) using Mi Flash tool and check the option "Flash all & Lock".
Also, you can re-lock it using fastboot command, either fastboot oem lock or fastboot flashing lock will work BUT you have to be completely sure there’s nothing "custom" onto your device prior to re-lock it otherwise you could brick it.

Lock bootloader after changing rom from middle east to official EU rom

Hi all,
I've recently unlocked my Xiaomi mi 10t bootloader and flashed an official miui eu rom instead of the middle east miui version. I am now concerned about locking the bootloader.
Can i lock the bootloader and use my device normally, or locking the bootloader will brick my phone?
Thank you all!

If your device is not Chinese version (K30S) you can lock the bootloader.
