Hi,
I have been encountering slow app loading when using 4G connection. Even if I have strong signal (4G or sometimes 4G+), I cannot load an app like when searching google app, it keeps on loading. When I try to connect to wifi or turn on/off the airplane mode and connect back to mobile data, I am able to load or browse any apps.
not sure if it just my network provider or is there anything I can do with the phone like clear something or activate some settings.
Please help!
I am having a similar issue in that after about 3-4 days of usage, the network slows to a crawl. I have run up a network monitoring app and does not show any major levels of network activity. This has only just started to happen since the Android 10 update. A reboot will fix it and the network will be back to normal again.
At a guess, seems very similar to the network stack having a buffer overrun or something and usually associated with a bad driver. Got a feeling this is the same here.

still happening on my Note10+ after android 10 update. I feel like there is some apps hogging the mobile data network since restarting or turning airplane mode on/off will refresh the mobile data. Try also using the device care to optimize your phone. it helps sometimes instead of restarting.

It started yesterday and I don't know why. Go to check my weather, hit update and after about 10 seconds I get a bubble telling me that an unknown connection error ocurred and to try again later. I can make phone calls, send and receive texts, but can't check my weather. If I soft reset it works fine. Today, go to check my weather again and same problem. Been making phone calls and texting all morning without issue. Soft reset and again it works fine. Obviously, something is going wrong with my data connection over time, but what could cause it to just shut down completely requiring a soft reset to fix?
More weirdness. I tried manually turning on my data connection in the Connection Manager and as quickly as I turn it on it turns itself off. WTF! I haven't done/added anything to the phone in a week. Is this something on AT$T's end, could they be blocking me from using data for some reason?
About 2 weeks ago I did some regedit to have the data connection turn off automatically after 5 mins of non-use. It was working fine after that and anytime it needed a data connection it would make it. I don't remember where the setting was to change it back, but I doubt this is the problem because this issue just started yesterday.
I'm on AT&T also, on the new leaked ROM, and I have exactly the same issue. It started about 2-3 weeks ago, and I noticed the connection drops overnight (during the day I have no problems), and it'll only come back after restart or reset. I think it's AT&T's network...

Maybe they work on improving their towers and network lol
T-Mobile does that also.
i get a Could not coonect bubble, and have to manualy enable my data conection. If you guys are Tethering our providers automaticly drop our priority level...Unlimited my ass, they tried to cap me at Edge speed and all i had to do was disable/enable the data conection to blast 3g...
I found the problem, but I still don't know what caused it. I'm leaning towards something done on AT$T's end. I have always had my phone configured to use the AT$T ISP in network properties. Apparently, it no longer likes this setting. Switched back to MediaNet and all is working just fine. Problem is that when I first got the phone I did speed tests using both settings and AT$T ISP was faster, so that's why I set it that way. I can't test it now because it won't stay connected with that setting. Can AT$T block users from a particular connection? I don't tether and the most data I've ever used was 280mb last month. Hardly a reason to block me.
I'm not thethering either, my usage is roughly 600 MB/mo and my network is already set to MediaNet. This problem started recently, didn't have it before.
Looks like it is something going on with AT$T. A number of my friends from different states have reported issues over the past 2 weeks with several having severe connection issues the past few days. These are people on varying devices including iPhones, Blackberrys and smartphones. I hope it is due to AT$T finally upgrading their network and not overload from all the new iPhone users and abusive tetherers.
I searched and was not able to find anything related.
Has anyone thought about this?
I enjoy having a WiFi sleep policy when its idle. Maybe something like this exist for Mobile Networks?
I'm pretty sure something like this already exists. Check Settings>wireless&networks>mobile networks>enable always on mobile data. My experience is that if you disable this your phone will go go idle on mobile data about 10 minutes after you turn off the screen. The problem is that this will delay your email and data synced items by about 30min to an hour depending on your settings.
I experimented with it and didn't really notice a huge benefit to the battery life. But I also constantly pull my phone out to play with it (which re-activates on the network, i think).

Hi all
A search of the forums revealed 5 potential threads similar to this but not quite (not same symptom, phone, modem ...)
Keep loosing mobile data connection...
I have installed X-note 3 and found that my mobile internet is intermittent particularly in Youtube where I frequently have to click "No connection , Retry" or "Connection to Server lost, Retry" and in Play Store and Gmail where the problem tends to occur on a screen unlock after it has been unused for a few minutes - about 3 to 5 mins.
I dont believe this is a ROM issue because I d/l various ROMS such as Revolution, Alliance, PacMan, Paranoid and still I get the problem.
I tried installing all 9 of these radios here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2044937 to no avail.
Also notice that if I set Network Mode to "GSM only" then this makes no difference to the problem (the default is "GSM/WCDMA Auto" which is what I've set it back to)
WiFi works fine.
Any ideas?
same issue here.
a lot of time trying to know why this happen. and i think it is due to fast dormancy.
the phone usually stays in standby in 3g... when you request some data it will automatically turn h or h+. Here is when you will notice the internet moving.
But unfortunately if you have some.coverage issues you can have this problem and then the programs instantly report no conection. If you insist you will see you can obtain connection. 5 seconds later 3g will appear again
It does not mind you will see the bars of coverage at maximum... if there is no quality signal you will have this problem.
I just have this problem at work. Not in other places.
But if you want a constant connection I recommend to keep for example online music while navigating...this will avoid the issue...unfortunately you will increase your data plan..
Yes!! This is exactly what happens.
So it can't be my specific phone but perhaps a hardware design or software issue. I don't recall this I happening before I rooted
Weird
Fixed it - so far at least
Fast Dormancy is the problem. It was enabled by default and I have turned this off. The connection is now fine and seems to be "always on". For me this is okay because I do not have any data limits or pay per MB for data. I do notice that new connections take a little longer to start (for example, time taken to access internet when opening up an app that is not currently running) . This is not noticeable for apps already running (in the background)
This explains ....

I'm having an annoying issue since upgrading to Oreo.
When disconnecting from some WiFi networks the mobile data doesn't turn back on. No amount of going in to airplane mode fixes it. A reboot is usually required.
It doesn't occur with all WiFi networks.
Has anyone seen this? Or know a fix?
I'm running Oxygen 5.0.1
No one seen this?
Hey, I lose mobile internet connections quite often.
Haven't noticed a trend, so can't say if it's Wifi related. Neither toggling aeroplane mode or mobile data on and off makes it work again so I just end up resetting the phone.
I'm sorry I can't offer anything useful, but I can at least say you're not alone!
This is happening to me as well oxygen 5.0.3 , total pain I've got tasker to switch on hotspot and mobile data when I enter car but Data doesnt connect and have to reboot phone
I recently bought a Samsung S22 and for the last couple of days now I have started to see issues with the network connection (Not Wifi). I will see 3 or 4 bars that show signal strength with 4 or 5G, but when I go to open an app like TikTok, Facebook, or even Google Chrome the app just keeps loading like it isnt connected to the network. It seems like if I wait it out things start to work again after some time. At first I thought it may be an issue with the phone trying omegle xender to switch from 5G to 4G but now I'm not so sure. I wanted to check to see if anyone else is having this issue?
Same issue here, on Mint Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO). It usually happens while I'm driving or in certain buildings. Toggling airplane mode off and back on usually resolves it for me.
