Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

That's only if you want for root your phone.
Otherwise, to flash the rom, yes, bootloader needs to be unlocked.

fastboot -w doesn't work in fastbootd so you'd need to do that in real bootloader.
guys I managed to boot the rom. instead of wiping user data I used fastboot -w and it booted as it should. will see how it goes further thank you dev
Great rom! Its so smooth and fast. And great battery life.
Only real bug that I came across is automatic brightness. Itdont work. Goes from full dark to bright all the time
Hope that will get fixed soon.
Wow,
Since there is no twrp how updates willa be provided?

Installation procedure:
Have an unlocked bootloader (Not gonna be explained here, there'll be threads in this forum somewhere)
Make sure to backup internal storage as wiping data will delete everything.
Reboot to fastboot and flash the provided boot.img with the following commands:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot /path/to/boot.img
reboot into recovery and select "Apply update from ADB":
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
adb sideload /path/to/rom.zip
In recovery before rebooting, make sure to factory reset/wipe data.
Reboot into the system, and enjoy the illusion!
Update procedure:
Reboot into recovery using the same method provided in the install procedure.
Code:
adb reboot recovery
adb sideload /path/to/updated-rom.zip
If you aren't using Magisk, that's all you need to do. Reboot back into system and you'll be updated.
Updating with Magisk:
If there is a kernel update or a security patch is merged you'll need to patch the new boot.img. Just download the updated boot image, patch it using Magisk manager, and flash it in fastboot after sideloading the rom update.
KNOWN ISSUES:
Currently none, let me know what you find!

Yes, you must factory reset if you want to flash any custom roms.
There is a chance it'll boot but I doubt you'll have no issues and you won't be given support for said issues.

Let's say I root. Do I need to flash the attached boot image or uninstall magisk before I sideload an update?
Also, will dirty flashing be okay for updates or is a clean flash strongly recommended/necessary?

For magisk just patch the boot image provided in the OP. You'll need to flash a magisk patched image after updating the rom (you'll not need to download a new boot image unless the kernel updates or a security patch update is merged).
Dirty flashing is fine. I'll update the installation post with some more info on updating.
Currently the inbuilt updater does not work, so when updates happen don't use it.

So thrilled to see this finally coming! Thanks!
My first experiences: among all Samsung devices that I ever owned, this one was by far the most complicated to achieve bootloader unlock and install TWRP - but after 1,5h I finally managed it.
Installing lineage-os via TWRP worked as expected, but ... after 1 min. booting with lineage logo the device stops and reboots into recovery. Anyone got an idea why?

Finish installing crdroid 8.2 on willow, fabulous rom so far!
A big thank for rolling on with crdroid on ginkgo/willow!
I remember flashing this on my sgs4 EU variant. Longest ROM I have ever used on that phone. Thanks for your work, keep it up.
First of all, thanks for keeping crdroid alive for ginkgo. Now the question. Since the title does not have the 'unofficial' tag are you going to apply for official? (I don't really care, but most likely the question will come up sooner or later anyway)

If you are switching to an Android version, I recommend a clean installation.

Maybe just try it yourself, after taking a full backup, and putting it to a save place?
You always can do a clean flash thereafter, if dirty flash is failing ...
Is it Feb security update?
We should get ready for crDroid 9

ah okay. actual twrp based recoveries can for sure flash a12 but you have to decrypt your internal data while flashing using a dfe zip. i don't know if it works with every rom but i know pixel-based roms are also working with encrypted data when using los-based recoveries that are mostly shipped with the rom, look out for it on threads first pages. can't tell more since i've no experience with these. hope it helps a bit. cheers

I have installed CrDroid 8. I have used Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt. The system works, it is decrypted. Unfortunately, when I want to enter recovery, TWRP freezes at the logo screen
//edit
I installed OrangeFox recovery via the fastboot command and now recovery is working

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

only IN and CN version have Android 12 . I don't know should flash which firmware .
I have a 7T Pro McLaren edition (the non-5G one) running the official Europe ROM and I got the update yesterday using the OnePlus updater app.
It says: HD1913_11.F.17_3170_202210120449
This ROM is excellent so far. Feels faster than 18 was. No incompatibilities to report yet.
Thanks for maintaining this device.
Procedure was this: Sideloaded from recovery on top of 18 - using 18.1 recovery - then rebooted to fastboot without starting the phone and flashed 19.1 recovery. From there reboot to recovery and flash Gapps. Start phone. Win.
I did not update the firmware before that procedure.
Heads up: extracting the boot.img for Magisk was fun!
Thanks for the report.
All without erasing data partition, right? No data loss.?

No data loss. Backed up everything just to be safe and luckily didn't need it.

Hi!, To install LOS-19 should I be on the latest OOS 11.x.x.x or OOS 12.x? [In the pre-req page it tells to be on the latest "ANDROID 12" firmware so I assume OOS-12 is required?]
talking about the Indian Variant, also I am on FlamingOS 13 with the latest OOS 11 firmware, can I directly install LOS-19 if the latest OOS 11 is required for LOS?
hey there... when i unlock on OOS12(F.17) i always lose widevine L1.
I can reliably replicate this behaviour.
is there any way to mitigate this?
when i unlock on OOS11 however, Widevine L1 is retained..
thank you for bringing this ROM to us.
Hi there, been running this rom by a week and feels great, only thing seems to be missing the L1 certificate, any suggestions?
Perhaps Widevine certification became more strict in A12 where an unlocked bootloader will make it fallback to L3.

I still have Widevine L1 on my OP7TPro. Have you used magiskhide and installed the apk from Netflix?

I don't think it exactly makes L1 work. However, I think hiding root using magiskhide enables L1.
If it helps, I've set mine to use the pixel 3a fingerprint since the current stable version of magiskhide (6.1.2-v137) supports android 12.
Latest LOS 19.1 is A12 or A12.1 (L) ?
Have working OTA ?
Preferred Gapps (nik, mind) ?
