I currently have a 1 ear Samsung bluetooth headset, but it is inadequate for anything but phone calls.
I would like a bluetooth headset that is for both ears so that I can listen to music and especially podcasts without having to use the standard headset. I would also expect it to have a built in microphone.
I know the bluetooth in the HTC S620/S621 is not the newest available so I also don't want to aimlessly buy a headset and find out it isn't compatible with my phone.
Any suggestions on what I should buy?
Thank you,
Tim
I use Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Bluetooth headset. I love 'em.
I like my Motorola S9. They got good sound and decent base for lil speakers. They never fall out. They have the following buttons; answer/hang up call, volume up and down, track forward/back (hold for fast forward/rewind), and play/pause. When consider sound quality, I like my music loud with a lot of base and why I have a 1000watt system in my car. Sure they are no where near that, but they make a good alternative for when listening to music on my cell. Plus I can walk like 100ft away from my cell before they loose connection. In my old 2 bedroom house I could walk around my whole house and nevr have my cell on me. Another plus, they use the same charger plug as the Dash (Mini-USB).
for BT headphones //// the jabra BT620's are good.
http://www.amazon.com/Jabra-BT620s-100-96200000-02-Bluetooth-Headphone/dp/B000FJ20CM
for a BT headset that has the ability to use 1 or both earbuds. the plantronics voyager 855 stereo bluetooth is a good choice...so you can walk with one or both earbuds in.

Thanks for the input.
I decided to go with the Motorola S9. Some of the reviews at Amazon did make me hesitate a bit though.
I primarily use my phone for email, web browsing, music, and podcasts more so than talking. And from most of the Amazon reviews, many were not happy with the sound quality of the S9 during phone conversations.
The jabra option didn't seem to fare much better in that regards and was bigger.
On the plantronics 855 option, many stated it was great in sound quality for phone calls but was inferior to the Motorola for music and podcasts.
I didn't really look into the Sony option listed here though due to the price. It was one of the more expensive ones.
So anyways, this is now on my Amazon wish list to make Christmas shopping for my wife easier.
Glad to be of help and as for incall sound quality. I never had a complaint, been on the phone for hours on end with this thing and a lot better then having a cell against my head all the time lol. I hate being on the phone honestly but this headset made it a lot more tolerable. Actually just bought a USB Bluetooth Adapter for my pc to link these to it for music etc at night when people complain about loud music lol. Especially with that joggr volume issue on the Dash lol. Good luck with your Chrismas gift.
I am looking for a bluetooth headset with loudness. I need wireless headset but with good sound. Please suggest me the best bluetooth heaset for music. I require loud music level and not soft music. I know that bluetooth headset does not have loud volume but if anyone can suggest me loudest of all available in the market it would be helpful. My main purpose is music and not calls. Wired headphones are very difficult to listen to music. I had few options
1: Sony SBH 80
2. LG Tone HBS 750 or 800
3. Plantronics Back beat
4 Motorola S11
Any headset would do for me as far as it has loudness. I have checked reviews for all but no where they mention loudness of the device
As far as my experience goes and giving that probably there's no mention of sensibility in the specs, I would go for IEM's. The speaker is closer to the eardrum and there's also the added benefit of phonic insulation.
It seems no one is ready to suggest me I was expecting reply frm ppl using from any of above models mentioned.
I reviewed in this forum a lot of wireless bluetooth headsets (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192333), including HBS-730, HBS-800, BlueBudsX, BackBeat 2, Sync by 50, ROX, and Pump HD. They all sounded equally loud. With wireless connection you have two levels of volume control, using volume on BT headset (about 7-8 clicks) and volume on your phone. Sometime people forget to adjust volume on their phone. Also, making it very loud distorts the sound, bt headsets have their limitations.
Among the one I tested, BlueBudsX, BackBeat2, and ROX all have good sound. I prefer ROX. HBS-800 is also great, but it's more conservative looking, not for extreme activities.

Kindly suggest me one brand that I can purchase straight away. It is very difficult to check reviews and ten go buy one. I want a direct answer to take one. I want to know about HBS 800 ....I heard that the loudness is reduced in 800 compared to 730/750 is it true or it is equally loud as the previous models ?

Equally loud, and in HBS-800 they updated drivers to use premium one from JBL. Much better sound. HBS-800 is all around great bluetooth headset since it sits around your neck, has extra long battery life, all dedicated controls, good phone call quality, and with a right selection of eartips the sound quality is pretty good. You can also do some running around with it, just no crazy jumping For sports and exercising, I like ROX better, but sounds like you better off with HBS-800.
I have and enjoy a Philips SHB4000/28. They are on-the-ear, light, run long enough, comfortable, and sound fine. I mostly use for podcasts, but they are fine with casual music listening. If you like on-the-ear (I don't like in-ear), then I recommend them for their price.
anyone know of any of these headsets that has no earphones included, meaning you can use your own?
I've seen plenty but they all seem to use the older bluetooth standards that had very low quality.
I reviewed one from Antec (check my sig with review links), but it was an old BT standard and sound quality even with my best headphones was crappy So far, I haven't found any bt receivers without headphones with a high quality sound. Often, companies fine tune headphones and receiver and use either their own proprietary DSP decoding or aptX with BT4.0 - that's why the best wireless sound quality available only from a "bundle" of receiver and headphones, for now...
I have the hbs 750..bad bass ...also had 700 and 730 both lost volume over time

I drive for a living so these are the best option for me with text readout but i gave found they lose volume level after a while... Need to figure out if it's hardware or software... Try the others let me know about sound and text readout please
i feel like when you put on your headphones the sound is just too low.
anyone experiencing this, or is it just me?
I'm using it more on a speaker but it's definitely not as loud as my nexus 6 was
On my Sennheiser MM550X bluetooth headphones I do think I have the volume cranked a couple clicks higher than with my old Galaxy S3. I'm also getting that annoying noise when the G4 is connected to my desk audio system via 1/8" stereo jack. When no audio is playing it bugs me enough I dug my Motorola bluetooth receiver out and am using that instead of the cable at work.
No problems at all.
None. I use Xiaomi Piston 3 in-ears and Sony Bluetooth Xtra Bass 950's over-ears and they both sound fine.
I'm having trouble with BT streaming on my G4 using a HOMESPOT NFC BT receiver and the Google Play music app. No issues with my G3 though. Highs are very distorted, it's almost like BT streaming gain is set very high. Lowering BT audio makes no difference. I tested with other music apps and same issue. I can't find any settings within the device menu options that could correct this. The BT/NFC receiver works fine with other devices so pretty sure it's the G4. Not sure if it's a hardware issue or OS related. Any suggestions?
sound is not nearly as loud over earphones as it was on my Z1
1. No problem with my headphones when I'm hear music. (volume).
2. When i hear radio- big problem - the volume is very very low.
3. The songs not played good. There is lagging sometimes for 1 second . Maybe because i played them from sd card. Very annoying.
No problems with playing music on mine. For some reason it seems to sound just as good through the speaker as my m8 did
Thanks for all the reply guys . Maybe it could just be that i'm using iPhone headphones? which sucks since this is the only phone i've ever gotten that doesn't include headphones when i first brought this phone
Sound seems a bit less crisp than it did on my M8 when connected by BT to headphones or car audio. Also with my mpow BT headphones the first 10 seconds after connecting any music played stutters a lot before settling down. Never had that issue on the M8.

Using iphone garbage might just be ur issue. I use my bose and wired or Bluetooth I get no issues. My lg tones have no issues. Will test my other gym ones tomorrow
Hey there, was waiting for someone else to have that particular problem - almost thought I was the only one...
Is it possible that you are connected to a Pebble or similar smartwatch? Uninstalling the pebble app solved the problem for me, as silly as it sounds^^
The issue also occured with a GS6 btw., (Pebble app installed and connected to the watch)...
I tested several headphones and speakers and found something weired:
Teufel Aureol headphones: Crystal clear sound, no problems
LG G4 Stock In-Ear headphones: Works like a charm
Beats Studio: Bass is a bit to heavy, volume doesn't get as high as on the Teufel or LG G4 stock.
Atomic Darts In Ear: Same as the Beats one
Beats urbeats: Better than the big Beats, but worse than Sennheiser or Teufel
Sennheiser HD 700: Crystal clear sound, FLACs sound like they should, MP3s a bit cracky, but well, compression.
JBL Pulse BT speaker: Extrem volume, beats the **** out of a room.
Creative D200 BT speaker: Bass too heavy, cracking sounds
Bose SoundLink III BT speaker: Sometimes clear sound, sometimes cracky. MP3s worser than FLACs, who thought of this?
Bose SoundLink mini BT speaker: Extreme volume, crystalclear sound. Can't decide if the JBL is better or not, but the SL mini seems slightly better.
I think it depends on the quality and the setting of your headphones/speakers what happens there, since the G4 has a good quality so far when it comes to sound (Integrated speakers do not count.)
I listen to music on mine with PlayerPro and the full band EQ.
Using this combination I really find no difference between the G4, Note Edge, and Galaxy Tab 4.....It might just be me or the fact that the N6 is a beast of an audio device, but that seems to be where people notice the biggest (or only major) difference as far as music goes.
The sound on my device is also very low compared to G3, especially while using Radio FM, any idea?
Anyone tried viper4android?
It did miracles on my ex S6

Hi there,
Has anyone tried the Oneplus 3 with a bluetooth headset? How is the audio quality? I haven't used bluetooth in a very long time and my last experience was one of very poor quality.
Because I travel frequently I'm thinking about getting the Bose quietcontrol 30 when it launches next month but before spending almost as much on headphones as I did on the phone I'd like to know if sound quality is good.
I'm no audiophile, my music is mostly 320kbps and I think my 20 euro sennheiser earplugs produce decent enough sound quality. Obviously I'm using them mostly outside and on the road so with all the environment noise sound quality is going to suffer anyway.
As far as I could find the Oneplus 3 doesn't support Aptx so I think we are stuck with A2DP? That seems to max out a little above 320kpbs.
Bluetooth is pretty good. Better reception than my HTC 10. While in my pocket the HTC 10 tends to stutter from signal issues just from walking. Nexus 5x also had this problem as well. Opo3 does not have this problem.

Thanks.
How is the sound quality? Same as the 3.5mm jack?
3.5mm is better quality but that's probably because when I use it it's with my vmoda m100. In terms of sound quality compared to HTC 10 and s7 edge it's the same quality but HTC is extremely loud. It's controlled by snapdragon 820 so it's the same across all devices. Haven't had any noticeable audio problems.
Thanks George.
So bluetooth audio sounds fine just not as great as what you might get with a good wired headphone. That should be good enough for me. Just wanted to make sure it's not like a pair of 20 euro wired headphones will get you better audio quality because the bluetooth audio quality is crappy.
I am a Samsung user since ages i just switched to Huawei because of the biggest display.
first i tested this handset Huawei Mate 20X with skull candy Bluetooth headsets voice quality was very poor. At full volume there's no bass or sounds like a premium audio quality at any way plus the phone tells you that Bluetooth headset is not supported so i am turning off Dolby atmos great.
no problem it happens so i tested my next pair of Bluetooth headsets (Apple Airpods) same message Dolby atmos is not supported and music quality got better not the loudest i must say but it was ok!
Overall screen quality looks ok! but not satisfied with the Audio system or whatever thing they have put in to drive the audio.
i have bought Samsung note series one by one never faced a single issue like this all my handsfree and Bluetooth headsets worked just fine and it sounds the best.
please give your value suggestions/feedback to improve the audio quality on this beast! i am liking the display but if its not going to sound the best i have to sell it as i listen to the music all the time its my first preference over watching movies.

you know world is moving towards wireless i think next year they will remove everything like there will be no USB port at all. everyone has to buy wireless chargers and to copy data it will sync over WiFi.
so i was expecting a decent Bluetooth audio performance since i have decent pairs of bluetooth headsets. now i have to buy wired so another unexpected expense
