you have to unlock bootloader and install twrp recovery before install 3rd party rom, go Google for tutorial. btw, this rom is not suitable for new flasher.

cool, then you can format data, clear system/data/cache/internal storage, after that install base band (the one with 5.15) then install rom, then install open gapps if you want, reboot, enjoy
Returns on this Rom? Bluetooth? GPS? Android Oreo? NFC?
Any widevine support? I can't go through the pain of installing yet another ROM unless it's perfect

I haven't tested IR blaster so far, but the only big that I found so far is the camera launching, it's so slow, the strange thing is that in the previous UNOFFICIAL build it was launching well, I hope he will fix it in the next build.

from what I remember from another ROM is that this slow camera launch seems to fix itself after a few reboots (Lineageos 15.1 seemed to suffer from this too)
so, is bluetooth audio working? and what about widevine drm? haven't found any z17 oreo rom that has widevine support yet...

not this one, I have rebooted for so many times but lagging still remain, did not act like 15.1.
Bluetooth is searchable and should be pairabled. never tried yet since I don't have a good headset.

It seems that I solved it, I've just copied vendor/lib/mediadrm/libwvdrmengine.so from other Oreo ROM and now it looks like this. I've attached a little flashable .zip with the patch, I hope it could help.

Ok, I tried installing everything in one go adding each zip after the other in twrp... apparently, this doesn't work... Device just turns off again after Nubia logo (yes I did the normal wipe)
I did select to prevent to overwrite TWRP
update: apparently you need to boot the device between installing Rom (and open Gapps) and installing Magisk... installing magisk 16.4 apparently needs to be done later... I'll report back when I'm done

Hi All -
Just wanted to make a thread here to link to the Magisk Module I created that bypasses the bootloop we get when we have CN hardware with the Global Rom. I think this will work for India and Russia hardware too. Enjoy.

Mine never stopped working before, however, this works completely differently. This inserts a script into the boot process that happens before the device starts launching system services that changes the ro.boot.hwc and ro.boot.hwcountry to be "global". The other way I was doing it was to make the product props to a value that would make it skip the checks entirely. Unfortunately, changing that value removed the slider settings, broke the slider camera, and for some, stopped the stock camera from working. I have checked an all expected settings are in the menu, safetynet passes, the slider works, the stock camera works.
Great, all works, no problem with camera or slider settings.

Yes, flash Magisk, 18.0 and 18.1 don't work for me. Use 17.3 and then flash this and you should be golden.

no matter how you install it. only 17.3 works
as of the moment, since the week before the Chinese New Year, there are no updates from mi-globe. until this weekend. so this is a good alternative to make v18 work with mix3.

Most people on telegram are now using 18.1 , apparently support for modules will end soon for 17.
The released 18.0 and 18.1 do not work on the mix 3. I have no idea if the one linked above does, but I also don't know what they modified which is why I was advising 17.3

its working. some of the others guys here installed it.
they said its working. i for one, installed, and its working.
based on the screen capture i posted. you can see a logo of xda, maybe they are a part of it somehow.
moreover, there are tons of bulleted changelogs for the 18.0 & 18.1
some of them may not be noticeable for a very large audience, but this "i guess" will make it future proof for the reason of rom updates and compatibility. since Android Q is in the works.
also, noticed these changes
Code:
v18.1
- [General] Support EMUI 9.0
- [General] Support Kirin 960 devices
- [General] Support down to Android 4.2
- [General] Major code base modernization under-the-hood
other changes are for MagiskHide, maybe to better hide other apps. because there are some few apps that still can detect rooted devices even if they are HIDDEN.

This module is only working for who have already setup the nfc-sim, cause the API reason the carriers application can't read nfc-sim so can't do first time setup.

In Taiwan we use nfc-sim to replace EasyCard (Physical Card) to take public transport or convenience store payment. NFC-SIM is an old technology just for transition, we are waiting can use Google Pay or another payment to take public transport.

Hi, since payload dumper can work on Android 10 I can easily access to system partition to get files I needed, But in my research 5T (Android 9)、7 Pro、7T seems not config problem. For now I'm working on make 5T can use nfc-sim, if I have any progress or test file I will contact you, Thank You
Since the discontinuation of the poorly-named Isis Mobile Wallet (later renamed Softcard) in 2013 there are no active NFC-SIM services on any of the carriers in the United States. So, while your Verzion, AT&T, or T-Mobile SIM card may support NFC-SIM, there is no use for it. I am also not aware of any NFC-SIM services in Canada. So if you live in either of those areas this tweak isn't of any use.
What is the purpose for this module? I'm not sure why I would need it. What benefits would I get by installing this?
doesnt work with my 7 pro on OOS 10.3.0 for now (
In the thread it says 10.0.8 is supported, but only HD65AA. I've got the HD65BA, Europe. As far as I know, there are no differences in these stock roms. Do you think it will still work? Anyone else who've tried?
It should be supported (10.0.8.HD65AA).

Hello All, can someone explain what this is? it looks like its a module that you flash over OOS to add more customization etc.. if so, would it work on the 10.3.1 global version of the 7T? also, if possible can someone send me the link so i can check it out?
Any news here? Joakimbo, did you check in the telegram group?
I'm also on the EU version like you and renovate sounds very cool. Seems to provide a lot of the missing options I wish oos had, and as a magisk module sounds quite interesting.
Edit:
Yes, renovate 11 for 10.0.8.HD65BA working perfectly!
Latest download in the telegram thread.
Installed the overlay fix 2.0 first..
All good. CRT, flashlight on power button etc..

Massive module for magisk. Basically a custom ROM in the form of a magisk module!
Lots of extra customization. Reminding me of exposed module back in the days..

Hey I have a question that really bothers me that I cannot use Google pay on my rooted poco f3 with stock Redmi K40 MIUI ROM.
I already hide all my google apps with Magisk hide and tried multiple times.
I also read something about changing my device fingerprint using `props` command in terminal but I failed to find Redmi K40 or Poco F3 on the list.
Is there anyone who can help me ? Thank you ^^
You can try the package "MagiskHide Props Config" from the built-in Magisk repos.
There is a lot which can be configured with that package, but there should be no need.
The documentation is (thankfully, for an Android project) quite extensive.
I already installed it and I don't actually know what to do other than change the device fingerprint from there, which I can't find poco f3 in the certified device list.
So my question is actually: Is there a device fingerprint of POCO F3 that I can directly replace on my ROM and use?
I'm not an expert for this topic, but are you sure all the Google Play apps (Play Store, Play Framework etc) are working correctly?
The only time I had a similar sounding issue was when I played around with microG and Nandroid.
I might look more deeply into it if i find the time.
What rom are you using? Im on rooted miui .eu 12.5.2 and all works as normal.

flash gpay sqlite fix
Have you checked both options for hiding Google pay? Also, have you hidden the magisk app itself by renaming it in the magisk settings?
Once you done those things, if they weren't done before, you may need to clear cache/data from Gpay in order for the app start a 'fresh' and not be 'aware' of root - but that's just a guess... i don't use Gpay, but i've just tried it on ArrowOS with root, all i did was hide magisk app itself and hide Google pay from root as per image
