Hi,
I have a AT&T Fuze and I'm not happy with the sound quality so I usually use a BB Bold. I find the Fuze ear piece to have low volume and a tinny sound and the mic picks up too much background noise. I tried different audiopara files and have something useful but not what I would call good or near what I get with the Bold.
How is the call quality with the TP2 (not speaker phone, just handset)? Is the screen as nice as the Fuze when outside? I found the Tilt screen to be poor outside. I wasn't planning to upgrade until WM 7 but I installed 6.5 and it seems to work well on the Fuze.
Thanks.
Can't compare to the Fuze as I never had it but the normal call quality is just great. I love talking on the actual phone to the point where I prefer not to use my BT headphones for actual calls (I now use it primarily for music). As for the mic picking up noise... remember there are three noise cancellation settings for normal calls (not speakerphone): off, always on, and "automatic" (it samples the noise level at the beginning of the call and applies a constant noise reduction based on that sample throughout the call regardless of whether the noise level decreases or increases).
The call quality on the TP2 is the best I've ever heard on a mobile - this is particularly important for me, as I'm partially deaf and need phones to be clear and loud.
Thanks. What about the screen outside? The Fuze is good but the Tilt was horrible.
After deciding I'm not buying another without a 3.5mm jack and WM7, I'll probably be at AT&T Sunday morning
Is anyone else getting bad call quality on phone calls? It's very choppy and can barely had the other end? Plus the sharp edge on the top kinda cuts into your ear.
Hey!
I was previously interested in the Sony Z2 but returned it because of issues with call quality, mainly the speaker being sh*t. I reckon the new Z3 will be of similar style. Although probably one of the best phones in the market, I can't live with the waterproofing making speakers worse.
The idea of a stylus and sketching on a phone intrigues me since I get so many ideas where ever and have little ways to scribble them down. Therefore I'm really considering getting a Note 4 even though I realize the real usage may be nonexistent in reality. Now, my question is, how is the speaker on the Note 4? I don't necessarily need stereo speakers, as the value of stereo on a smartphone is questionable but I do prefer decent sound quality. I talk A LOT on speakerphone and I want it to be crisp and clear. Also, how are youtube videos on the speaker?
PS. I'm coming from a SGS3 and want better battery life and bugless UI.
Anyone have a say on the speakerphone quality? And the onboard speaker in general.
I find the sound from the speaker load enough but a bit tinny. Speaker phone is good and YouTube videos are acceptable however I prefer using ear buds.
Ditto on what tbparkey said.
When you call granny, does she keep saying "Huh?! Wut?!" or does the conversation flow pretty well? Rate this thread to express how you feel about the Honor 8's call quality. A higher rating indicates that calls are clear and crisp, and that regardless of background noise, you can hear the other party clearly (and with ample volume) and they can hear you.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
No complaints, everyone hear me...I hear them...everyone is happy. No background noises what so every, very ...very clear.
Clear sound, had to turn down the default volume though, the first caller made me jump as he began to speak!
Hey Honor 8 owners! What is background noise cancelling like? What if you use the speaker instead and hence have the mic away from your mouth? Thanks in advance.

Works well, I've never had any trouble walking on speaker phone, I can both hear the person and they can hear me.
So I have no complaints!
Anyone install a sound mod? I hear Dolby can definitely improve it!
Call clarity has been great, hearing the other party clearly. Though, it doesn't integrate with Google Voice like other phones do.
As a very unsatisfied previous owner of a Moto X Pure with VoLTE choppy audio on T-Mobile network, I am very satisfied with the call audio quality of the Honor 8. Even in low bandwidth areas VoLTE is very clear. Great speaker phone. I wish it was a little louder in speaker phone mode. But it seems that all Android phones are this way from my experience.
No complaints on call quality/volume here. It just works....!
okay quality when talking
Very clear, no issues at all
Hi , call quality is great , sound is clear .. but ..
i am using L10 , with 2 sims , the 4G major sim works just great in calls , the 2G one always get disconnected and / or very bad call sound quality.
i exchanged the sims , and the 4g / 2g options , and still facing the same problem ! so when i want to use sim 2 for a clear call , i just have to set it to 4G , then set it back to 2G after the call .
Huawei Honor 8 FRD-L10 running B380 Android 7
I use two sim card.. and the call quality is actually very good.. couse this is the firs phone I can hear my girlfriend very clear LooOOooL.. becouse on every other phone she sounds very silent .. but on this one its not the case.. I hear her very good and clear..
Clarity is very good as well as the volume.
good call quality.no issue
Call quality is good but then the hybrid sim support ruined the fun here. Wish it had dual sim+sdcard support
Loud and clear calls.
Can anyone who actually used this phone report on call quality of this G40? How is clarity and volume of earpiece? How speakerphone? Microphone quality for the other party? Network reception?
all things good just update the software to fix touch issue and clarity good for speaker all the things good.

All good
Don't worry
Moto is not like some brands who cripple proximity sensors or sound quality through update
