I've tried to root T835 with the Magisk tutorial provided in the forum and ended in a bootloop, at the moment I have to download an image of the OS for reflash but it's too heavy and don't have a fast connection at hand, can you help me to get the tablet rooted successfully? In other matter I've realized that there's no development in custom OS for T835 which is a shame, Lineage OS on the tablet would be great

Hello everyone,
As the title says, I am wanting to root the J7 Sky Pro.
I have never rooted anything in my life. I am also having trouble installing any custom recovery onto the phone.
I have tried so many tutorials and "one-click" rooting programs, but none of them have worked.
If anyone can help me, that would be nice.
It runs on 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Tracfone locks down Bootloader so flashing is not possible unless a exploit is found. Also the recovery delivered by TWRP builder is outdated so Odin refuses to flash it. The OEM unlock does not function as intended and CROM utility lies about the device being unlocked. Some information found is Nougat is flashable for this device. Your best bet is getting newer device with development support
Hello all, sorry if I've happened to missed the guides.
I've rooted a few phones in the past and installed custom rooms, however, I do so infrequently and every time things change.
I only have a loose grasp of GIS roms, so I'll just let that one slide.
I have the mi A2 lite (obviously) and would like to root it or get a custom room that works well.
I don't mind stock, since it is not bloated.
I installed twrp, upgraded from android 8 to 9, then twrp disappeared.
I've read somewhere that I need to disable encryption for twrp, but maybe that's no longer possible that I'm on Android 9.
If I stay stock, will or will I not be able to continue OTA?
TL;DR: Hoping for a basic guide for how to root. I wouldn't mind custom rom, but stock is fine.
Thanks!
You dont have to install TWRP for root
You could install magisk and get OTA updates
Hi all,
I know this may seem like a n00b question, but I hope you can point me in the right direction. I have a A320FL with Android 6.0.1 - build june 28 2017, and I blocked the auto update feature, because back then I read about the advanced locking technique and want to root my phone. Since then I looked at these forums, but found it quite difficult to gather all the information to get confident enough to flash/root my phone. In the past I rooted/flashed my Sony Z1c regularly and that was easy. But for some reason flashing the A320 seems much more difficult, with more chances for it to go wrong.
I'd like to have the following:
- Android Oreo stock, twrp, rooted and Xposed (optional if possible)
I found this thread about rooting and twrp and xposed, but it's an older manual for Android 7 and I don't know if it will also work with Oreo.
Other threads talk about unlock and the security path, but I'm not sure if it applies to my situation, or not? (since I have an older installation, perhaps the advanced locking technique isn't implemented)
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You should just be able to enable OEM unlock, flash TWRP, format data in TWRP, flash no-verity- noencrypt zip, and you should be fine I think.
Okay, and then flash the last stock rom and then Magisk for root?

If you want to be on the latest update, then do it before you root. But yes, then you flash magisk after the rom after you got TWRP.. Make sure you boot up once or more before you flash magisk.
Hi everyone. I have been trying all night to root my Z836BL phone, to no avail. I tried every tool in method 3 of this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2684210
I noticed that there is no TWRP recovery image for this model. In the developer options, there is a toggle for OEM unlocking, though I haven't made use of it. I got into the recovery menu, which had an option to flash images, but I don't know if that would help. Is there some way I can flash root to it without changing the bootloader? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
Update: I found the source code for this phone, it is accessible here
http://download.ztedevices.com/devi..._02/Z836BL Marshmallow Kernel(3.18.24).tar.gz
Update 2:
I found a bit more stuff about this PHONE.
Official manual PDF:
https://manual-user-guide.com/zte-zfive-2-lte-manual
Stock ROM:

If anyone has any sort of information about modding or rooting this phone please comment or shoot me a private message. Thanks!
I tried a few more root programs, no dice. It looks like the only thing left to do is to compile my own TWRP recovery image and try not to brick my phone in the process. I found multiple sources on compiling that, and here they are.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32965365
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/guide-how-to-compile-twrp-source-step-t3404024
Theoretically, you can boot anything on the ZTE Z836BL without unlocking the BL in 6.0.1 but if you want to unlock it anyway you can try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...alcomm-zte-t4100897/post82595723#post82595723 although the Z836BL was not tested so there is no guarantee it will work. https://github.com/programmer-collection/zte/tree/master/Z836F is the EDL programmer you will need with QFIL.
You will need to extract the device tree from the device using ADB and adapt it to work with Lineage OS (You can find tutorials online) Download the Kernel tree from ZTE opensource and download the Lineage OS source. Compile TWRP alongside Lineage OS. Furthermore, you will need to compile a new kernel to support SELinux Premissive to allow the recovery to boot.
Good luck with the build!
Hello everyone. Would like to apologize for my English for now. write about Google Translate. Don't get my Note 10 plus rooted with Android 12 UI 4.1. Have tried a lot as soon as I restart the device root on magisk is lost. Have the current magisk 25.1 and the last original software from Samsung. Gives is somewhere a guide where works. Should I take twrp or try to root via odin.. The key combination when booting does not work either... Thanks in advance
I am also having problem unlocking bootloader and rooting. XDA new design is crap cant find anything
There is no one who has a Guide that works.
