Touch is being activated as far as 1 to 1.5 inches above the touchscreen around 15-20% of time.
Anyone else facing this? Any solution?

Hello,
A couple of months ago we had the screen on my girlfriend's Note 2 replaced. Since then (though noticed more recently), the s-pen does not work properly and has massive dead spots. Normal touch is fine. Is this a sensor board issue or something else?
Thanks in advance.
Hi has anyone else experienced a dead line on there screen where the touchscreen is unresponsive?
The screen is displaying everything as normal but there is a area of the screen that just wont work.
Here is what happens when i draw on sketch.
Has anyone else experienced this. I think its hardware related, what are my chances of LG repairing under warranty as my phone is only 10 months old.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
This issue has started to become more prevalent in the last month or so but it originally started happening maybe like 2 years ago?
I have opened the tab to swap the charging port and battery in the past so I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty but I also want to avoid unnecessary repairs that could cause another issue.
Has anyone experienced the half screen faultering like in the photo? Touch still functions and 9 times out of 10 if I put it back to sleep for 5 seconds and wake it up my full screen returns. My model is the 807P (Sprint variant) and it is running stock 6.0.1.
My thoughts are it is either an extreme bug in the software or a ribbon issue but I am curious if anyone else has encountered this before I proceed.

I've had this head unit for about 6 months now and it has been great. After some cold and muddy weather here in Canada, my rear camera stopped working. I get a blank screen with the message "no signal". Any ideas? Anyone else experience this?
I have the same issue did you find a solution?
Hi everyone!
I've been using an Xtrons TE103ap which is basically a MTCD/E PX5 unit. It operates off of a swivel 10.1 inch screen.
I've been having intermittent issues over the last 1 year where the screen would be unresponsive when the swivel is set to certain angles, so I assumed it was an issue with the connection. It runs off a generic 40 pin ribbon (the kind you find off floppy drives). I replaced it with a new cable and the problem went away for a while.
Every now and then, it would be unresponsive to touch requiring a complete reboot to get working again.
As of 3 days ago, the touch response started becoming laggy, ie. after touching a certain point, it would take about 1 second to respond. No amount of jiggling or wire switching fixed the issue.
I have done a complete teardown of the screen module and i've noticed that the digitizer ribbon is separate from the touch panel's ribbon. All contact points seem to be working and it doesn't seem to be a cable issue.
Assuming it were a digitizer issue, the touch panel's controls would still work right?
The last 3 days, i've been trying everything from going from Android 8 to Android 10, no fortune. I did try several MCU's and one particular MCU got the screen working for a while, long enough for me to get into factory settings and do a configuration. On reboot, i lost all touch functions again...
As of now, i'm perplexed as to whether it is a hardware issue or possibly software issue. Hoping anyone could shed some light.
Thanks !
