Note 10+ weird screen clicking sound - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

I'm on official BSL7 ROM Android 10, only root with Dr. Ketan guide (thank you very much!), but no mods or other modifications. When I press back soft key or other parts of the screen, there comes a strange clicking noise from speakers, I know for sure the sound comes from speakers, I keep press and hear the clicks from speakers. I have disabled touch sounds and searched on Google for noises like this, there is some guy with S10 I think with similar problem and he also does not know what is it. Also, the sound is random, pure random, sometimes I heard it, sometimes not. It's annoying and it's not camera repositioning lens, because I am not using the camera at that time, even in games I can hear this annoying clicking sound.
What could it be? Are there any others with problem like this? It is software problem? I have reseted the phone, still there, but it triggers only when screen is touched. I have inspected the phone, it is not a gap between screen and glass, also I had it with original plastic screen protector from Samsung which comes from factory. Tried to listen to music, the speakers are fine, not damaged. Only when I click the screen and purely random, so it's not a mechanical issue, the screen is not damaged.

[Q] Strange (broken) sound when putting down phone

Hi. I have new Nexus and I noticed that when I put phone down on something not very strongly but like any other normal phone the top part made some kind of broken sound. I just want to know if it is normal. Thanks
I know it is hard to undstand this problem, but it is also hard to describe that sound. I have no possibility to check other nexus. Sound is around camera or front top speaker.
I think what you might be hearing/feeling is the motor for the vibration function.
And do you think it is ok, or it is broken? Best will be if someone would write if he also noticed this thing. If I am alone in this I will have problem.
Maybe it's the "click" sound when the screen goes to sleep?
Settings> Sound> Screen Lock Sound
It is hardware sound for sure
So I made short video with my problem, please look at it. Thanks

Some news. I went to local samsung service center, they looked at it and said it could be something in camera and it is something which they will repair/change(but i bought phone in other country so it was just info). However I went to electro shop and try knocking on camera of some nexus and that camera was doing same thing. So I guess it is ok and it should make that sound, but I am still curious if someone else noticed it.
I'd have to guess (and from what I heard others say) is that it's the autofocus lens of the camera? Mine doesn't have that noise but it does get a faint vibration and sounds as if someone hit the string on a guitar if i hit it or put it down on a table.

[Q] Crackling Sound from Earpiece

Hi,
after I disassembled my phone to clean the microphone holes. I now have a constant crackling/static sound/noise from the area where the earpiece is located. I can only hear it wenn my ear is really close (as when I am actually on the phone). It is not there during boot up, but as soon as Android is booted I can hear it. It also goes away when I turn of the screen. But not when I am on the phone and the screen is automatically turned off by the proximity sensor.
I'm on Stock Sense 5 with this phone, so it is not unlocked, rooted or anything similar.
Best,
TiredHornet
EDIT:
I still haven't found the issue. But I did notice that disconnecting the digitizer makes the noise go away. Any ideas what to check next are highly welcome.
Apparently, editing the OP does not bump the thread. So...

[Q] [8.4] Lack of sound with speakers working properly.

Guys,
Don't know why or how this happened but from one day to another my tablet has lost the capacity to produce sound for example with music, youtube etc.. But the speakers DO work because when I press the shutter button on camera it makes the kwnown sound, when a notification arrives it sounds it and so forth....
I've changed roms, made factory reset, now I'm back with the stock samsung rom but still can't get sound to work with basically any applicacion.
With headphones there isn't a problem, its just the speakers. So weird.
Any ideas?

I have a feeling the speakers are damaged from water damage or something to that lines, this isn't fixable with software

Pixel XL - No sound

Ok, as per the title, and here are some things covering the issue:
Initially the speaker stopped working immediately after plugging the charger in. It is a genuine Pixel charger.
The problem went away in less that a day later, but reappeared straight after charging again.
Yet again the problem went away
Yesterday the issue reappeared randomly whilst using the phone and hasn't corrected itself since
The issue results in any short sound played giving exactly 16 feint clicks from the speaker, no crackling or coarse sounds, just 16 programmed clicks from the speaker. Press the home button - 16 clicks, like a comment on the Facebook app - 16 clicks
Playing a Youtube video results in constant feint clicking from the speaker, same frequency as the 16 clicks, but as said, constant.
Set the phone to "do not disturb" so no sounds from apps/software are allowed and the 16 clicks from phone interaction (home button etc etc) still happen exactly the same as before; this confuses me further as if it was ingress or a faulty speaker it would not give any sound while "do not disturb" is enabled. If it was a hardware fault, it'd have to be at chip level, so pointing toward software/firmware
Safemode has no effect
Factory reset has no effect
The Google "piano" boot up sound is not played.
Now, the very odd one; if I am browsing the Facebook app and auto play videos are on, the clicking sound is developed. To clarify, the video has not been clicked, it is not full screen, it is just there, on the newsfeed playing thus creating constant clicking while the video is playing. There would be NO sound playing if the speaker worked, but still, it clicks.
I'm unsure how the phone picks up audio playing for the volume rocker to adjust media volume instead of notification volume, but from what I can infer, it works on some sort of pass through. If the phone picks up sound, the volume rocker, when pressed, focuses on and adjusts media volume. As per number 11, in this state of a video playing but NOT focused, the volume buttons revert to notification volumes, hence no sound coming from the app; why is the clicking apparent when there is no sound trying to be played?
Phone calls work fine
Phone calls with loud speaker do not work
Sound via headphones do work perfectly
I have tried checking to see if ingress via the headphone jack is causing the issue by plugging/unplugging headphones but this has had no effect.
Bluetooth is OFF
Have turned on headset in "System UI Tuner" in status bar to show if the phone thinks they are connected. There is no notification of this
Any ideas?
Regards
Dave
whoa that's crazy, is it similar to the issue in this video?

does audio play through your earphones when connected or does this also come across as clicks?

Headphones work as normal. Such a confusing issue with the phone. With regards to phone condition etc, it is two months old and in immaculate condition, never dropped or wet. It's my second pixel as my previous one died one day and wouldn't turn on again. Google are happy to replace, but as it's an intermittent fault they have warned me that if they don't find anything wrong when this phone by the time it gets back to them, I could have to stump the cost of a new phone.
They had organised a return, but a day later it started working again, so cancelled the return; now stopped working again
As for the video, will wait until I'm at a PC, can't hear what's going on in that one currently (on my phone haha).
EDIT
@fatapia - I have watched the video, the fault is nothing like that in the video. There is no sound no matter what, just 16 feint programmed clicks as mentioned before after every interaction with the phone that would make a click/sound, even on silent it still does it.

I'm having the same issue on my Pixel 1st gen too after my 8.1.0 update. In phone calls, I can only hear sound when i turn on speaker phone. Headphone sound works fine, but all media volume isn't playing.
Did anyone solve this? I am having the same issues. No sound. But ringtones and notifications work fine. Speakphone only during calls.
Google approved an RMA for mine and sent me a refurbished handset which works great

Pixel XL - No sound from speakers

Alright guys, I've got a problem I haven't quite dealt with before:
I've got no sound coming from my "external" phone speakers. The in-ear speaker works fine, and so does the mic. That means I can take phone calls just fine. Listening to Whatsapp voice messages is a challenge because Whatsapp uses the speakers which means the message plays with no sound, that is until I hold the phone to my face and the prox switch tells the app to play through the ear speaker. No YouTube videos or Snapchat sounds.
I looked around the forums and such but didn't find anything. I've checked all the system settings I know to check, but nothing I can find is "muting" the sound. My apps list is fairly standard. Stock rom and kernel, unlocked since day 1 but without even a recovery installed. Basically a factory phone.
What are you guys thinking? I'm happy to try basically anything. Even thinking of slapping a ROM into this beast to see what happens, although I doubt there's too much development going on for a 2yo phone...
Cheers!
Update:
I've got intermittent sound. I haven't opened the phone and have no reason to think water ingress could be the problem, but I can't think of a reason that the speakers would work intermittently. Sounds more like a hardware problem than a software problem to me. Anyone else?
It also happened to me except I didn't have any sound coming from both speaker and the earpiece. Not sure what happened though.

Well it only has one speaker. As for the others most likely hardware related.

Weirdly, I'm stuck in unreliable-sound limbo. I get sound most of the time, but speaker sound disappears occasionally with no predictability that I've found. Interestingly, If I mash or smack the bottom of the phone phone screen by the speakers, sometimes sound will come back on briefly or entirely. Weird, huh? Not sure what could be causing a connection problem. Maybe I'll open up the phone eventually and find out.
