[HOW-TO] Change Font (EU Rom) - Realme X2 Pro Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi all,
maybe this thread will be not useful for many people, but if someone ask for changing font he can see here.
Procedure for Android 9 and ColorOS is the same for other Oppo and Realme devices.
1) Install zFont apk from Google Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mgngoe.zfont or download from internet.
2) In settings > language & region > myanmar.
3) If clock is wrong for you nation (for sure) change it in manual and choose yours.
4) Open zFont app and click on a font you like, many of them are preloaded, or choose your personal ttf file from local storage. Then you have to apply it, choose option 4 "Oppo & Realme".
5) In settings > display > support dai character (activate it).
6) Done.
If you want you can delete zfont, because it create an apk you can find installed in apps.
If you want to revert back simply change region, or deactivate "support dai.." (step 5), or uninstall apk font created by zFont; or all of above.
For Android 10 and Realme UI:
1) Install zFont apk from Google Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mgngoe.zfont or download from internet.
2) Open zFont app and click on a font you like, many of them are preloaded, or choose your personal ttf file from local storage. Then you have to apply it with "set", choose "Oppo & Realme" Option, then "Support Dai Character Mode", you will see Region "Myanmar" and "dai characters" option enabled. Give ok and you have done.
Hope you appreciate. :fingers-crossed:

Can you tell me the reason because it's possible changing font only with myiamar? Just curious to know why realme didn't implemented font change for each country.

I don't know, but, like Xiaomi has done, maybe because of policies in each country and it is a new brand, in fact after several years Xiaomi will implement that option in Italy (my country) and some other regions too.
Maybe, instead, it is an exploit that uses that specific region.
Excuse my bad english, hope i have been quite clear

I updated to android 10, and I can't find the " In settings > display > support dai character (activate it). ". any idea?

It still works on my phone without restoring it.
You could try to select ZG instead of unicode in region & language

If you download new zFont app you have to choose a font for first, then "Oppo & Realme" option > Support Dai Character Mode, then choose Region Myanmar from the app and dai characters enabled. You have done. All from app. See online, there is a youtube video of 13th of April.
Updated first post.

On android 10, not choose ..dai character. I have root the phone, and i changed the font, to roboto bold.

Galaxy W - changing ui language

Hi, I have a newbie question about android
Recently I've bought a new galaxy w. I've turned it on and figured out that it has a support of English and Malaysian language.
I'm a russian native speaker, so I would like to change a ui to russian language.
I mean not just being able to type sms in russian, but the whole ui (like application names, menues, and so on).
So, I would like to know how conceptually it can be done?
Is it just a matter of changing some locale related files or I need to install something?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi, Thanks a lot for the answer and sorry for the late reply
I've installed this application, but it seems like it provides only partial solution.
I saw that some applications really were named in russian (like google maps and google play)
But it did nothing with menus and icons on the bottom of the screen (phone, contacts, and so on).
When I chose Settings -> Language I don't see russian language and I guess this is the problem. I understand that more locale application only changes the locale and its good enough for applications having internationalization support by themselves but it doesn't affect the whole UI language of the system.
The issue looks deeper than only installing the right locale.
Meanwhile I've read about different ROMs available. I'm still vague on details but can ROM installation resolve the problem? If so, what ROM should I install?
Some more details that can shed some light:
- I'm located in Israel and the phone is bought there
- Kernel version : 2.6.35.7-perf-I8150DXMLM3-CL1103265
[email protected] #3
-Baseband version
I8150DXLC1
- Android version 2.3.6
-PDA I8150 DXLM3 (to obtain this I used *#*#1234#*#*)
Disclaimer, I'm quite a technical guy (programmer with ~15 years experience) so stuff like rooting the phone and installing custom modes of os version doesn't scare me, I just only never dealt with android phones
Thanks a lot in advance
Hi,
After reading and learning a little bit, I've tried to root the device, but with no luck
I tried all 3 methods I've found
here
but no one didn't really work
I'm quite sure I did everything like it was explained.
In the first method it wrote me the the update.zip was installed successfully, but after the reboot the phone wasn't rooted.
I've paid attention that in logs (accessible through recovery console there are a lot of messages of type:
failed to open /sys/class/android_usb/android0/state - looks like its an invalid path.
So any help will be appreciated here
Thanks
OK. It looks like after a couple of hours I've got a root access to the phone.
Thought someone can be interested...
I've used the first method and it didn't work.
I've made factory reset (also available in recovery console) and then came across mounting option in menu.
So I've mounted everything I could there and then re-applied the update.zip. Rebooted the phone and now it seems to have a root access (I have a superuser application).
Now the next challenge will be installing the ROM with russian language native support (in android jargon "flashing" ) with Odin.
I've downloaded a firmware from sammobile.com. And planning to use this tutorial
And I believe I'll be happy with my russian language
Since my experience with this stuff now is impressive _one_ day, so
could someone point me whether i'm in the right direction at all?
Thanks
Install the latest firmware XXLM8, i think it support russian language via the tutorial how to install via odin, then u will need to use the first method to root the firmware again...thats all

In that language list Greek should be among the options, all the way down in Cyrillic.

I didn't find anything about my language, only 10 options out there. I am gonna update with a RUU to see how it will go. Anyway thank you for your replies I think I will find a way.
I don't know what's going on but I can't find Greek on any RUU I installed. I think HTC has not translated the official roms in Greek language. Any suggestion further?

I can definitely tell you that Greek should be on there. I get like 100 languages in that menu, including four variations of "Έλληνικά", so there must be something missing on your phone.
Have you try this:
Go to Settings - Apps - All - Customization Settings Provider - Disable it
Then go to Language & keyboard - System Language - Select your language
Reboot
Go to Settings - Apps - All - Customization Settings Provider - Enable it again
You're done.

Hi, I am new to this forum, just got my HTC One VS and I don't know anything about Android (used Windows Phone before). I think it's great I found this threat even though it is older ... I would like to have my language set to German but cannot find it either. Only English and Asian languages. I tried this tip, but when I follow the path, there is no "Custimization Settings Provider" ... what to do now??? Does anybody have a good idea?
I would also like to ask how to delete apps that I don't want. I found in other forums that I should basically follow the same path (or go to the apps differently), then tap and tap "uninstall". But I don't have an "uninstall" option, only "disable". Is it the same?
Btw: is the HTC One VS the same as the HTC One V? If not, what are the differences?
Thank you all very, very much for any help!!!

I have experienced this too starting last night... But mine changes from English to French.
I'm searching for the reason and solution now, and I find that we all encounter this today! (or yesterday considering timezone)
Started to happen from yesterday to mee too, languages changes to Italian after restart. I downloaded from Google Play app called "Language enabler" and disabled all languages but English, but after restart language changed to Italian again....
Same here on a Galaxy Tab 3 7"
Reboot sets my to Greek (I think)
Same for me, started yesterday, it' s very annoying and I dont want to Factory Reset, but I found something in the logcat which seems to be the source of the problem (maybe)
Screenshot in attachment
Mine happened as well. It changed to Russian from the default English.

LG G4 H815 - Hebrew is removed each restart

Hi all,
I purchased this H815 in the Czech Republic.
I Brought it back to Israel, and following an update, the Hebrew vanished from the phone.
I added again Hebrew Locale (iw_IL or iw_GB) with MoreLocale2 app, and the phone turns into fully supported Hebrew.
However, the problem is that each and every time I perform a restart to the phone, the Hebrew vanishes again, and I need to choose from the MoreLocale2 app or from the Language & input settings to Hebrew again.
I tried to set the language to Spanish, Italian, etc. and it stays in these languages following restart. Only the Hebrew is changed during the restart process to English UK (en_GB).
Do someone know why this occurs? I know for a fact that there is a way to avoid this, but I don't know how.
Thanks,
Omer
Thumbs down to LG...
Happened to me too. The difference was that I purchased my phone IN Israel, and HAD the Hebrew language too but now it's gone.
I suspect that update's only purpose was to remove the Hebrew language from your phone.
It's truly an evil move from LG.
The way I can see we could fight it is by making MoreLocale2 automatic... On each restart it should brute force the Hebrew language back everytime as well as change the text to appear from right to left, instead of manually going to the developer options every time.
Sure. You are right. But this is not the issue.
With morelocale2, there is Hebrew in the phone. But - it changes back to English UK in each restart, but if you change to other languages, it stays in such language.
So annoying!
That's what I'm saying!
The same thing happens to me too!
They've probably added a check on every restart to see if you had the Hebrew language, if yes they change it back to English.... Truly lowly.
But Ronlight, the official importer, installed a rom without this "check" during July. However, when I updated the software, this language check came back (but the touch screen problems were resolved. This is the reason I know there is a way to solve this, but don't know how.
What can we do?
There is no way to undo the update, is there?
Also, why do you still think they didn't do it on purpose?

How is that even a reason, sure, they coupled that update with some improvements it seems but only to make it a bit more legal.
I mean, lowly actions can be understood? No.
Ronlight charges more for the LG G4 because of the Hebrew language? (500 ILS more)
They hold you in the balls and make themselves a monopoly in the market.
Next time I will see the LG logo I will spit on it. Obviously it's a good phone but why I can't enjoy it to its fullest?
Sorry I'm venting my anger but you do see my point.
You can install the latest H815L10F.KDZ file on your h815 and everything will be fine, not sure about unlocked bootloader.
I prefer the unlocked bootloader.
But - Ronlight installed V10a rom of h815 (not L) with Hebrew as default, with unlocked bootloader.

Good. It's an app with the suggestion I've said earlier - Making the app start on startup and forcing the Hebrew language.
Don't forget to run the command: pm grant com.avicohh.languagechangerapp android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION
How much did you purchase it for?
Haha - this works...
This is not a real solution but rather a workaround.
He purchased a phone from Eline which is not from the official importer but rather a paralel import (but they are a good shop), and they installed Hebrew with MoreLocale2, installed this app which will run at startup each time you perform restart, and in the delevloper option I believe they clicked on force right to left option.
This causes the restart to be slower, since the phone changes to English, and then back to Hebrew. But it works
RageSmirk - your addition regarding the "pm" above is of course essensial, otherwise the app does not change the config. Thanks for that.
BTW - I started seeing other seller in Israel selling Lg G4 with "burned Hebrew" which does not erase when you perform a system update, but the importer in not Ronlight. I wonder how can it be... If someone knows which firmware they are using, please let us know!

You are not supposed to flash a rom that isn't for your phone. H815 isn't the same as H815L.
And as for the reason that you still don't have Hebrew, is probably that they're checking your phone's IMEI.

I suspect that update's only purpose was to remove the Hebrew language from your phone.
It's truly an evil move from LG.
The way I can see we could fight it is by making MoreLocale2 automatic...

Paranoid much? Are LG a bunch of antisemites in your eyes?
How is this related to race or religion? They are just making this to help the local official distributor to charge more money for the same product. There is no reason to remove funcions from a device just in order to add it again and charge 150 Euros more.
BTW - this user FFFFFF problem can be easily resolved. I'm not in front of my pc, but I had the same problem following the update to v10c, and I found a solution easily.

How to change system FONTS in miui 9

Hi!, i dont know if this should or not be a "post"... its kind of silly actually, but...
If, by any case youre like me (using a stock-noroot miui9 user) and want to change the system font...well probably you cant, at least if you don't live on certain regions (aparently).
So...how to do it?... well, you have to go under "SETTINGS", "ADITIONAL SETTINGS", "REGION" and change youre region to INDIA.
once the phone doas it, you can go to themes app, and there youll have the option to change sounds AND fonts.
You can download as many as you like, and try them on. Once youre happy with youre choice, go back and change youre region to your own region...and ofc, the options in THEMES are no longer there (so anything you download you cannot access it anymore)..but...alas....you still have that font working, even after you reboot youre phone...
So, when you get tired of that font....repeat process..
TL;DR
Change font
1-Go to settings-Aditional settings-region
2- change region to india
3- go to themes, download and apply font you desire
4- go to settings-aditional settings-region
5- put your real region
6- profit
I hope this acctually serves someone...
PS: you can also "try" to unlock the mi carousel... it "sort of work", but i couldnt make it so...well, another time
ahh so difficult. thanks Man
For rooted devices just download FontFix (free) from Play Store, it has a lot of fonts.
nice threads dude, it works!!
I wonder, why Xiaomi doesn't make fonts to be available to any country??
Why just India???
Weird company.
