Can't seem to get WM6 upgrade to work, help!

I have got a Vodafone 1210 made by Asus, also known as an XDA graphite. Well anyway I have a UK Voda 1210, and downloaded the WM6 update off the new zealand site to upgrade it to WM6, am currently running 5.0. Well it keeps saying "Not enough memory, please close other applications and try again" when I click Ok it goes to the main update page that would normally tell you that you should plug your usb into your phone etc etc, but the buttons that you click at the bottom don't have writing in them, nor does the text appear in the page that would tell you to plug your phone in and make sure its charged etc, I just keep going around in circles and am unable to update. I downloaded the 02 graphite update aswell, and thats the same. I'm running XP service pack 3 at the moment on a 2.1 ghz dual core with 3 gig of ram. Can anyone help?
doesn't anyone know what I mean? when I open the update, wether my phone is connected or not, I get the low memory message then when I click ok am left with a page that has the big vodafone picture to the left but no text info to the right and the ok and cancel boxes at the bottom are blank aswell. its doing my head in wm5 lol

Are you looking for the net and mms setup?
Would like the phone to load up with the Aussie 3 settings and not the Orange settings. On the 3 network you can log into My3 and the planet 3 options on the bottom of the LCD screen. At the moment because it still has the orange Uk start up I can't access planet 3. Hope this makes sense !!
cheers
What browsers have you tried?
None yet.....I'm a bit of a novice so a step by step guide would be great....cheers.....
I can use the Aussie sim card in the Touch pro 2 phone but can't access my3 and planet 3.....
The phone I originally had (HTC touch pro) was on a Aussie 3 network plan with the essentials pack so that I could access planet 3 but recently I bought a HTC touch pro 2 (This is designated to the orange UK network).Gave my old phone to my wife to use !!
I know it's a long story but all I need is the firmware on the Orange Uk touch pro 2 changed for a Aussie 3 firmware
any help would be great
I've got the setup bookmarked at home but ill try to find now.
EDIT: Turns out flash doesntcwork so well on a mobile.... I would suggest just going to the three site and looking around. if your mobile isn't on their list just pick a device that would have the same os installed as your tp2.
found it.

My first OP device (OP3), can I check a few things with the Comm

Hey folks
This is the first OP device Ive ever used (OP3).. I bought it BNIB (used once and sold on), but it can from a 2nd hand / Trade in store, Ive looked online but some websites are conflicting between 3000 and 3003 so..
The device model is an A3003.. and Im in UK .. is this the right region?,, I ask because it has 2 sims.. and the UK dont support dual sim yet.
Ive posted my device info.. is it all ok.. and is my device an Unbranded stock UK rom:
Thanks all
A3000 is the Chinese specific version.
A3003 is the EU/Asia/India version
So everything okay i think
Yes everything is fine i am in the UK too and dual Sims are allowed on every major carrier my device is also the a3003 so nothing to worry about
Thanks for the help.. Appreciated.. Im really enjoying it.. It was actually between the 3 and the 3T, but I was going to have to put another £70 for a 3T,,, Im a light to moderate user.. the 3k battery is fine and have no interest in selfies, so I thought ide put that cash towards a GTX 1060 instead
Can I ask, 703 looks like the latest UK rom, which my 3 updated via OTA when i first connected to wifi, but Ive read theres 710 (7.1.1) available if I setup a VPN to canada or germany.. Im not sure what this means?.,
If you want android 7.1.1 then download opera VPN from the play store and change your location to Germany it's easy really there will be a list of countries that you can change to so just select Germany then minimise the app and check for updates you should get a update for android 7.1.1
Thanks alot Xceeder, got that, much appreciated... Can I add.. as soon as the download starts, re-open Opera and disconnect from the VPN... as its agonisingly slow through VPN... but disconnect and the 351MB download in seconds, then do a full factory reset/cache wipe via Recovery to remove VPN and return to your region (UK for me) and all is good again
Thanks

S7 Active for use outside the US (WiFi Calling and Software Updates?)

Hey folks,
I bought an S7 Active from eBay and I'm using it in Ireland. Everything is working fine that I need, but my carrier recently introduced WiFi Calling and upon trying to set it up from the setting menu where it reads
"wifi calling lets you make and receive calls over wifi with your at&t accoumt. when you use wifi calling, information about the country where the wifi connection is made will be sent to your carrier. Learn more about wifi calling (link).
GET STARTED"
I get the following error:
"Wifi Calling activation not successful, try again later"
I rang support for my carrier and they think it's something to do with the handset. They support the S7 and the S7 Edge but as the S7 Active is an AT&T exclusive and appears to have custom AT&T software, it seems like it might be trying to connect to AT&T and it can't?
Also, when I check for software updates, it says AT&T Software Update at the top of the screen, now this doesn't give any errors and it says software up to date, so I'm not sure if this is correct or if there's new software out that it can't connect to update?
Is there any way around this? I know maybe it's possible to ROOT and install a new ROM, but I'd rather avoid that hassle..
Any feedback would be great
I am in the same situation. S7 Active unlocked from EBAY, and using it in Czech Republic with Vodafone sim. Is here chance to get OTA Nougat update?
I'm using one in Canada and flashed the updates described in another thread in this phone's forum. They will reset your phone to factory, but you will have 7.0 nougat and security patches into April, 2017. I doubt any kind of OTA will be forthcoming unless you have an ATT SIM, but I'm not an expert in this at all. I plan on keeping good backups and flashing the updates as they become available. Aside from that, it's a great phone. If they make the s8 active global, then I'll look into getting one some time down the road.
Thanks for the replies. Does the S8 have an active version? I hadn't heard anything on it yet?
so when you flash nougat 7, does it completely wipe and install a new ROM on your phone, or it just updates the AT&T rom, so even with the update, you're still bound to the AT&T settings for updates/wifi calling etc?
Yes, it wipes out the phone completely, you'll have to set it up again. Everything else is same, such as AT&T bloats, wifi calling etc.
Ok thanks for letting me know. So no point I guess if it doesn't solve the issue
I live in Czech Republic. In situation, when I will buy prepaid sim card from AT T, and I will use it in my unlocked S7 Active, it is possible to get OTA Nougat update?
That's not a bad idea, would possibly work for the OTA update, but maybe not if it's not actually connected to AT&T?
It wouldn't work for the wifi calling though I'm sure?

I'm in Edmonton AB, Yes, there will be nothing for updates or WiFi calling if you are not on the ATT network with their SIM.
Which ROM did you update to, the QD4, or past it?
Keep it rolling
I'd love to know more about using the S7 Active internationally from anyone who has been down that road already. In the UK and considering getting one from Ebay but I would immediately want to update it to Nougat and I'm unsure if this will be possible? I have a Mac laptop in the house and would hope to use that to apply any upgrades. Really appreciate any info you guys have!

ODIN is only available for Windows (Vista/7/8/10). You will have to run Wine for just the Odin program or Boot Camp for the full Windows OS in a partition.
Wine is the easiest solution, start there and install the program, USB drivers.

I to am in the UK and purchased a S7 Active from Ebay. The phone came in a sealed box and worked fine. No AT&T logo at startup or bloatware. However when I rebooted the phone after switching of, an integrity error came up which forced me to wipe/erase the phone. I thought maybe a first time glitch but it did it again and all was lost. Had my old S4 Active so persevered and read info on this post to reflash firmware to QB2 using ODIN. Now note this is the first time i have ever attempted anything like this so complete newbie. However all went well and I now have a phone on Nougat. It reboots without error now. But it is now back to AT&T with logo at Startup and US voice for google navigation etc... Google pay now does work though. I am pleased with my results but would love to have firmware that makes it non AT&T specific for use in the UK, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Changing the language..

Hi guys/girls,, I bought a galaxy watch a few months back from eBay, brand new.
I was told it was a UK version, but typically once I received it, the box said Bulgaria or somewhere on the label, but as it was a good price and unopened I didn't complain (even though I specifically asked if it was the UK version!), as its possible to change the language on the initial startup screen. So that's what I did, and all has been fine since, great watch, very pleased.
I have never updated the firmware, so still on original factory ROM etc.
Thing is, I read somewhere that since Samsung has released the new updates, the icon has disappeared on Startup where you select the language. So I have never updated due to worrying that the watch will be stuck in Bulgarian.
Is there any chance that someone running the latest update could do a reset to see if the change language option is still there? I've been through all the settings and I can't find anywhere to change the language (I don't need to yet as I haven't updated, but just having a look)..
Thanks .
Mine was similar to yours and I received a Portuguese version instead of a UK, after I changed the settings to UK my language setting disappeared as well.
But what I understand is that from now on your watch will use the same language setting that is on your phone.
Now this is just a guess, but I would presume that after you have updated your watch the language setting should still reflex the same setting as your phone.

OK thanks for the fast reply, but yes that's also what I have read, that the watch reflects your phones language.. Was just hoping that someone could confirm this for sure before I try as I doubt its possible to downgrade if it went wrong
Well in case anyone is wondering, ive updated and is still in English..
