Unable to apply for unlock

Hi All, This thread is just for help required to unlock my Redmi Note 5 pro , I got my device yesterday and i want to unlock bootloader but the issue is when use this url http://www.miui.com/unlock/apply.php it directs me to http://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html instead going to apllication page.
Does any one have any solution of this.

I am not sure because once i had purchased the redmi note 4 long back that time i took permission and i unlocked my redmi note 4 but this is my new device i hav not taken permission for this device

M getting account not bounded and when i try to add account in developer option we get error 860006 n somthing in chinese

For 86006 error
Please be patient, the error is reported to devs and they are working on it.
The error is caused as of errors with sync with china servers.
If you try to fix this on your own you can not.
If you have Made in India mark on your phone, it signifies you have this error.

No. If you bought from Flipkart or Mi and you got non made in India model (which can be verified by seeing the rear of box) then it means you won't face any 86006 error. However it is standard for you to go through 360 hours of time to unlock bootloader.

Due to vendor abuse (vendors use to unlock and install software crap) they added 360 hours waiting policy. It can't be skipped I searched for the same multiple times.

Is there any other way to unlock the bootloader of lenovo p2?

Guys can you suggest any other method to unlock the bootloader of lenovo p2 because as you must have seen most people like me cannot turn on oem unlocking in developer settings as it shows lenovo id without permission error. Please suggest.

Nah bro, If they really cared for our privacy data, they would have provide monthly security patches, or a proper software update. The latest version of the software they provided is so buggy, but neither would they fix it nor would they let us fix it ourselves. ?

Bdw XDA posted a article regardin this P2 problem. You saw that? Some agent replied in the Lenovo forum that they will try to solve this problem. Well its been more than 10days..but maybe, maybe it'll see the light of the day.
Here's being hopeful ?

Someone from our community working to bypass the same using files from already unlocked device. I given up hope on Lenovo. He is the last resort for us probably.

You should check youtoube . Some Indian guy posted a video on how to unlock it without getting on Lenovo servers .

Yes but we also need the Kernel Source Codes for making good stable and bug free roms. We should all demand to Realme & Madhav Seth for providing the Kernel Source Codes in a big amount of people otherwise they won't provide it ( like how micromax does ).
BUT, as per the GPL Policy its Realme's own responsibility to provide the source codes. So we need to ask for it as its our right to get it :fingers-crossed:

I don't understand, I thought we can just OEM unlock the device? There's even a guide on how to unlock and install custom recovery. Please enlighten me :crying:

well, its simple. If you need to unlock the bootloader and root your device, your device must have fastboot binaries enabled. Realme is going to provide that on or before 15 Jan thus enabling us to root our device.
There are many guides to "unlock and install custom recovery" but all are fake, and authors done this just to provide publicity for their blogs.

That is a dummy switch for now. Turning ON that switch alone doesnt unlock the bootloader. Even if there is a switch, we cannot go into fastboot mode to unlock the device. Realme doesnt allow bootlocker unlocking due to their policies, so they shipped the device with fastboot binaries disabled (without fastboot binaries, bootloader unlocking is impossible). Now due to the recent change of events, Realme is enabling it. There must be an OTA or sth for that. After that, turn on the unlock switch, go to fastboot mode, unlock oem, flash crecovery and ergo root your device!! (this is the conventional method).

That switch is to toggle the get_unlock_ability variable in the kernel. If it is not set, the kernel will not allow flashing recovery. Please see android documentation for more details. That switch is not a dummy switch since it is important to set it, but it does not unlock the device on its own. You need to run fastboot commands for that to happen.

Guys..! Bootloader has unlocked.it is available @dev options now after the update that was released by realme yesterday......!:laugh:

Are you able to install google play? I was under the impression that china roms can't get playstore, gmail, etc to work?

The playstore is installed from xiaomi. No problems installing Google Apps.

create a xiaomi account and go 'https://www.miui.com/unlock/index.html'
usually it well spend you 168hours because unlock needs bind the account to device a week

nope. I think that's clearly a bug. I also reviewed the chinese Mi Pad 5 Pro and the Unlock was no problem there. So I guess it is a problem of the global Version. Let's send Xiaomi a bugreport and hope for the best

I'm from factory on the Global ROM, MIUI 12.5.1 Stable.
I think everyone who's having problem unlocking is already on the Global ROM..

Question Root black shark 4 pro global or unlock the bootloader?

I would like to root it with magisk boot img patch method but in order to do that I have to unlock the bootloader but I can't do that because the phone does not have an unlock status in developer mode which is needed to unlock the bootloader.
If there's someone here who has managed to root the phone or even just unlocked the bootloader, I would appreciate it if you could guide us to how its done.

Will there ever be custom Rom Support for this phone because it seems almost like a waste to have a top notch chipset and only get 2,3 or 4 years of software support i mean check the specs its really decent to carry with you for years to come.
