My network does not provide date and time information - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hi everyone! I have the following problem, if I put in automatic mode the date and time for the network to provide it, then I restart the mobile and I always skip a notification saying that the network does not provide me with that data and it is put in manual mode, when returning to putting it in automatic puts the correct time, but whenever I restart the notification skips, on the other hand, if I leave in manual mode and restart the notification never skips, this started happening to me with Android 10, before it did not happen, I did a Clean installation with ODIN, everything goes perfect, except this detail that is annoying.
does anyone know how to fix it?

[Q] "Battery And Backlight" randomly appears

Hello. A recent development on my Tilt2 w HTC ROM from 8.2010 is that from time to time the "Battery and Backlight" screen will appear for no good reason. When I turn the phone on, it shows up. When I hang up from a call, there it is. There is little reason to it. Of course I find this annoying.
Has anyone heard of a similar issue? Any remedies?
Thanks
Yes, it happened to me on my Tilt2. It is an incomplete setup from the flash stage. When you first turn on your phone, it goes into a customization mode and somewhere in that process, some key files are not fully written. The only fix is a hard reset and allow it after rebooting to do a full setup, you cannot stop the setup process. Earlier versions of WM, one could do a soft reset before the customization in order to keep the bloatware from ATT loading, but these newer ROM's that is not possible and it skews many of the needed files for the phone to run properly.
Sorry of the bad news, but hard reset and full setup is the only fix for your dilemma with ATT ROM.

[Q] Missed Calls/Hang up issue, faulty unit?

I just started my Galaxy Nexus yesterday for the first time after fully charging it as advised by the quick start guide, went through the wizards normally till the end.
From the very first hour of use, my GN went online and found an update to the volume issue and it asked to update and reboot. I accepted, and the update completed. So, from the very first use, I have an up-to-date unit.
The first test was to try a missed call. I called my GN from a phone far from it (in another room), then aborted the call from my other phone, and bang! A GN reboot. Tried again. Also GN reboot. And a third, a fourth. The following have been tried, but did not help:
1. Used a more recent SIM card from another carrier.
2. Disabled data services, and 3G
3. Used only 2G network
4. Manually powered off the device, then on instead of an auto-reboot
5. Added the number of the missed call to my contacts
6. Did a factory data reset
7. Did a missed call from a 3G connected device
8. Did a missed call from a 2G connected device
9. Wiped battery, its contacts on phone, and SIM card with a clean soft cloth
The missed calls are not recorded!
I have also experienced the following:
1. Random reboot while playing music
2. When calling a number, my GN hangs and reboots. Reboot probability is 70%
3. Rejecting a call causes a reboot 50% of the times
4. A very few times, I got missed calls. Not specific pattern for success. Success rate is very much less than 95%
5. The failure rate is higher after an auto-reboot
6. After the call ends, the phone hangs and then reboots
Given the above:
1. What exactly might be wrong here? Is it the hardware itself? The software? Or something else related to the network?
2. Has anyone seen this issue or a similar one?
I have now paid 25% of the device price to get it from UK to my country. Returning it will also cost a fortune!
Please give me a sincere advice.
Thanks in advance.
M. Fareed
Does it look like an issue with radio software only? or also the image?
Will it help if I flash it with Google factory image? Or is it a hardware related issue?
Any thoughts, please?
Hassle continues
Without changing anything since yesterday, I can now receive missed calls most of the times, BUT I am completely unable to dial number.
Dialing any number just causes a phone reboot!

[Q] Help: Wifi, Bluetooth, Screen Rotation stopped working

Hi there,
i couldn't find my problem already discussed via the board search, so i'm posting it here. i hope this is the right board, if not please relocate.
i'm using the find7a since about 1 year now. the only updates i did for colorOS were the ones that have been proposed automatically via the popups. but these i did every time.
i have alwas had several issues with the phone/os, mostly random shutdowns without any reason. but at some point, these shutdowns suddenly declined and i got used to live with the few that still occur from time to time. but now i have a much bigger problem and i don't know where it came from:
few days ago, i got the popup that a new os-update was available. i had a little time so i did it instantly. without any problems the update was installed and after that the phone booted as always and nothing strange happened. 1 day later i recognized that something had changed. i wasn't able to turn on the wifi anymore! same goes for the bluetooth. also the automatic screen rotation (when you turn the phone in a right angle) didn't work anymore! but all of them DID work for the 1 day since i made the last update. so i assumed it has nothing to do with the new os-version (which is 1.2.9 btw). i didn't change anything in the phones settings, everything was the same. but from one moment to the other these three problems suddenly came up. maybe even more that i didn't recognize yet.
although everything worked fine for 1 day since the update, i thought maybe the update could be the problem after all. so i wanted to flash another version of colorOS. i tried the 2.0.8i which was considered stable by the official oppo board admins on friday. the flashing worked fine, colorOS 2.0.8i booted, but the problems remained! still no wifi, no bluetooth, no screen rotation.
next thing i thought: maybe it's a hardware problem. so i flashed another ROM (always making a factory reset + wiping all cashes and data from the internal storage first), i tried a few. they were all flashed successfull but most of them hung up during the first boot sequence (cyanogenmod, paranoid, nameless), i always got stuck in the loading screen. last one i tried was OMNI ROM, and this one finally worked, meaning i got it started. first thing i did was checking the wifi connection and what do you know? the wifi worked just fine, my home network was found immediately und the connection went all good! which means a hardware defect should be out of the question.
this brings me back to thinking the problem lies within colorOS. which would be very sad becaue i really like colorOS and i would like to keep using it!
reproduction of the issues:
to reproduce the problems, when you are on the home screen you simply have to drag down the shortcut-menu. then tap on "wifi" and watch the symbol turn into the one for "loading" (the circling line). and then: nothing happens. the loading symbol just keeps on circling on and on. when you slide the menu up and down again, the normal "wifi-off" symbol shows and wifi is not turned on.
almost the same goes for the bluetooth. only when you tap this icon, the loading animation stops after a few seconds und the "bluetooth-off" icon appers again, this time without sliding the menu up and down. bluetooth stays turned off anyway.
for the rotation problem you just need to got to an app, where you can type in some text, f.e. whatsapp or gmail. tap the message area to make the keyboard and the cursor appear and then turn the phone from vertical to horizontal. normally the display should rotate automatically, but it doesn't it just stays in the vertical view mode. of course the rotation ist activated all the time, so no need to advice that
the rotation problem does not only occur when trying to type sth. in but also when i want to watch videos (f.e. with the vlc player app). the video stays locked in the vertical mode, making the image very small of course. this is also very annoying!
so, what do you think could be the reason for my problems? and what could i do to solve them? i hope you can help me.
i attached a log-file which hopefully shows the bugs.
my current specs are:
find 7a
colorOS 1.2.9
TWRP 2.8.6.0
greetings
tim

RN8T screen does not turn off, works all the time.

New RN8T eea stable locked bootloader. One day it worked cool and then it began. First problem screen never goes off, it works all the time and doesn't want to lock, despite the fact that in the settings sleep is activated after 15 or 30 seconds, no matter what. Strangely enough, the problem disappears in airplane mode, unfortunately it returns after turning it off. The second problem concerns the youtube application, the control panel like pause or time shift does not disappear automatically, it also turns on by itself at random moments. Again, the problem disappears in airplane mode, but returns after turning it off. Factory reset has already been done twice. I encountered a similar problem with youtube earlier on the Internet and apparently it helped disable or kill accessibility, unfortunately it did not help, even removal by adb did nothing. Alternatives like Vanced or OGYoutube work even worse because the control panel never disappears. I thought that both problems may be related to ghost touch, but after a short test nothing like this occurs. I was thinking about unlocking the bootloader and throwing a custom to check if these problems are also there, but once it's a friend's smartphone, two before I get permission to unlock it, it will be a week. In the end it will probably be done, but by then maybe someone will find some magic solution?

Question Urgent help needed - Wi-Fi doesn't toggle on, phone unusable after reset

Hi,
The device I currently own (SM-G990U AT&T) was purchased from a third party three months ago.
Until two days ago, the phone worked perfectly. In the morning, I woke up without any notifications, which has never happened before. Upon further inspection, I discovered the Wi-Fi switch had been turned off, which was very awkward. Within 6 hours of turning the Wi-Fi back on, I noticed it was once again off, and it would turn off every 10 mins to an hour. The first day, I ignored the issue because I was pretty busy, but today things got worse. The Wi-Fi will toggle off every 5 seconds or so at most. It would eventually stop turning on and the icon would remain a lighter shade of blue (loading).
It seemed to stay on longer while downloading files or making online phone calls (Could be wrong, but willing to test this)
Here's what I've tried so far:
- Delete the most recently downloaded apps
- Checked Wi-Fi settings for Wi-Fi control history and others
- Removed Wi-Fi control permissions
- Reset Network settings
- Update software (Odin)
- Downgrade Software (Odin)
- Factory Reset (Recovery mode, CSC file Odin)
After about 5 factory resets, Wi-Fi worked for about 10 minutes (I couldn't get past the FRP without connecting to Wi-Fi - thought the phone was toast). Please help me here if you can, because I don't know what else to do.
{Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}
What do you recommend?
i have exactly the same problem

Have you tried checking your battery saver program to see if it's the problem? I would also check your connection settings and make sure they are set to default.
