Okay, I bricked the phone, I was trying to root it, and now it will not start, I know it is my fault, I just want to know if there is anything that I can do now, please help me.
I got the XT2013-1, any way to recover it?

Download your stock image zip, extract it to the adb folder, essentially, you will end up reflashing stock but do not try to root it yet. Make sure it boots to the OS after flashing the stock image, then you can try rooting if you wish.

Hello first off all. I dont know if anyone else here got the same problem but I could not find anyone.
Hello, I tried to root my DHD to get ICS (i know it is not yet done). But after i tried to update it or install it i cant boot Android... It's getting stuck on the HTC logo, however I can boot into bootloader and into clockworkmod v4.0.1.4.
So now I want to get back to stock, root it properly, take a backup (YES i forgot to do it -.-) and try again to get ICS.
Anything else u need?
Before i rooted i think i had 3.12.405.1, but i am not sure.
I also updated to Sense 3.0
And i am banned from the hack kit irc. (i asked for help and they helped me a bit, but not enough, I did NOT ask for passkey)
btw. I am new to this root and flash things so i hope u be noobfriendly
Thanks for any answer.
And I did try to reroot it. (I KNOW, bad idea)
Anyone got any ideas? :C
Ifyou have access to cwr did you wipe and flash a new rom? Push come to shove you can always reflash an ruu.
I think i wiped and tried to install CM, but then the boot was already screwed (i think, i cant remember)? what do u mean about "push come to shove you can always reflash an ruu"?
Is it just to download the ruu .zip file and flash it? (Want back to stock)
Correct. Just download your pd98img.zip place in root of SD card and flash in hboot. Or alternatively download the ruu.execonnect your phone to pc. Go into hboot and select fastboot and run the program from your pc
I have used the ICS for a few days, after I root failed(on 2.3.5 with sense3 RUU). Taste good but the Camera doesnt work on ICS4. I do it like this:
1. Flash your DHD to 2.3.3 with the RUU.
2. ROOT it via aahk-17122011
3. Flash the ICS_BeatMod_Beta_v6.1 via clockworkmod to your DHD
then, Taste it!
ITS my first post here. If I do something wrong, tell me pls.

My brother would like to thank you. You saved his life. I just rooted my DHD and he decide to flash some rom without my permission. First he installed CM7 but he didnt like it and decided to flash BinDroid. Idk what he did then. He said he started to flash it via ROM manager...So first he flashed BinDroid_EXT4_FULL_WIPE.zip ..So i guess he wiped everything.Phone worked only in CWM but never started.Couldnt recover earlier version.Stucked with HTC logo and thats all. So i've tried to flash another ROM in CWM but no matter what foldier i place zip i could never see it when i have to browse zip to install. Readed dosens of manuals of flashing. They said i have to rename the ROM i want to flash - update.zip and then it would be recognized..Never happen. So i just decided to buy new phone and break his neck when i saw this thread .Idk what is root folder - some ppl say its the main folder of your card, without any sub folders, other say i should create new folder - root and put it there. But when i putted your file in main SD card folders it didnt "see" it. When i putted it in Root folder it didnt see the folder at all. By "it" i mean me when i was browsing in CWM. So then i putted this file u say in a empty folder of my card that i could see when i CWM. So i again reboot in CWM,browsed to it and saw the file there. Installing didnt help. It said error and file could not be installed..In a pure despiration moment i decided to chose update from CWM and bloody hell...it recognized the file u said to install and started to install BinDroid ROM?! I guess i forgot BinDroid rom named as update.zip, when i was trying to flash it.So now my brother is alive thanks to you. IDK what and how i did it and how to update new roms from now on but at least i have my phone..

So I should just use the ruu .zip and unroot it, then root it, wipe all data, and then install the ICS_Beatmod?
Ok, after i have rooted it, shall i run the hmod for the PD98IMG? And BTW. It says that i am S-ON in the bootloader....
1. install the PD98IMG.
2. Run the RUU .exe
3. root it
4. run the hmod for installing the "PD98IMG" again? when i am in the bootloader it asks me if i want to update. (Allready there is says i am S-ON)
5. removing the PD98IMG (manualy, not from the hackkit)
6. Wont go to Clockworkmod.
7. Still S-ON
8. ???????????
Shall i delete the HTCsync drivers that is on my phone?
I had to root it twice, but now I am stuck on boot graphics... Do i have to install the new kernell too?
nvm. got everything worked out now
dude if you can access CWM, just push any ROM to your sd card via adb, flash it, use it until the camera issue is fixed and then enjoy ICS. Don't go back to stock. I have adb in CWM thus you should too. These custom roms are much better than stock and if you want the interface just pick one with Sense.
Hi guys,
Keep in mind: I don't know what I'm doing. I only know what tutorials say, and I don't really understand the mechanics of flashing ROMs.
Problem: I'm in a boot loop. I want to go to stock, or CM11 4.4.2 . I was recovering data after flashing CM 11 4.3 (CM installer) successfully.
I have TWRP installed, but my recovery caused my phone to enter a boot loop state. I can't access the internal storage, and I don't have a micro-sd. What is the next step? I have Odin, but I don't understand what to do. As far as I know I need to boot an image file using the phone's download function?
I have these files on my desktop, but they aren't .tar:
CM11 For T-Mobile Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 [Filename: cm-11-20131217-NIGHTLY-d2tmo.zip]
Google Apps [Filename: gapps-kk-20131119.zip]
So once I'm able to acccess my sd card I'll be a able to put those files back onto my SD and install those zips using TWRP?
I'm really out of my depth and am scared of hard bricking my phone, so please be kind!
Thanks in advance!

Don't panic! Does your phone enter Download mode and it's recognized by Odin? if so, flash the stock image via Odin, you can find the links here, read the second post on this link, it gives you detailed instructions how to flash via Odin
Make sure you're choosing the correct model, otherwise you will brick your phone!
I flashed the .tar file for the 4.1.2 JB, let Odin finishes, after that your device will be restarted, let it there for about 5-10 minutes, if it doesn't get past the samsung screen, enter to the stock recovery (vol up + menu +power), and do a factory reset, after that restart, and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps, best of luck!
Hello,
I'm sure there are many threads on about what I'm about to asked but I am a noob and I don't know what to do!!
I tried to flash cm11 to my I747 last night but it failed. So I tried to flash my recovery and it failed at first but second time around it was successful. Only thing is that when it booted, it got stuck on AT&T splash. I left it for about 15-20 minutes but nothing happened. Wasn't sure if my screen was going to burn the image so I turned it off and removed the battery. I have been doing research on how to recover but I want to make sure I do everything correct so I can at least go back to stock.
If there is anyone out there that can please give me some help I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!!
Is this fixable?

Yeah. Should be fixable. First, can you try booting to recovery and doing a wipe/reset? I presume you have custom recovery? If this doesn't work, then you can try flashing a complete compatible stock restore image via recovery to get the phone working or flash a custom ROM? What Android version were you on prior to the attempt to flash CM? This would let us know what stock version to revert to.
I was running 4.3 before trying to flash the custom rom. I tried flash the stock rom last night using Odin, but it the flash failed on me twice. I also noticed that the micro sd I had in my cell is now completely dead. When I plug it into my pc it does not show up. I think it still shows up in recovery but it doesnt seem to be working. Im worried about sticking another card in and for some unknown reason it going dead too.
I only found a flash for 4.1.1 as far as stock rom goes.

If you were already on 4.3, please do not try to flash 4.1.1 now otherwise you could risk bricking your phone. If you tried doing the hard wipe/reset via (custom) recovery and this did not work, you can try flashing a complete stock restore image via recovery. See the instructions in the following thread ....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486
Unfortunately, you would need to load the stock restore zip to a (micro) SD card. Unless you are able to save files to your phone, there is no other way. Once you have the restore zip ready, boot your phone to recovery mode and flash. You can revert to a custom ROM once your phone is back to working normally.
I had this problem TeamWin Recovery. I put Philz recover on there and it worked fine. You will probably have to ADB philz recovery to your phone, if you chose to try Philz. This is what worked when I rooted my girlfriend's phone.
An easy way to install Philz Touch recovery would be to download and install the latest tar version for the d2lte and flash it via Odin.
http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d2lte
Thanks to everyone for your help and solutions.
My co-worker, who flashed my root and recovery, was able to get it back to 4.3 stock. Unfortunately, the backup that he made before rooting did not work in recovery [twrp]. So I lost all my pics from the last two months since getting my phone.
As sad as I was that I couldn't recover the pics, I am happy to have my phone back to normal+root.
I'm not sure, but maybe it bricked from trying to flash cm11 thru twrp?! Can't really say, but the recovery did not go thru either.... It went thru "successfully" but after I would reboot then it would stay on ATT splash.
Oh well... all is good now. I will steer away from custom roms for now and wait until the 4.4 update comes out for my i747. Or if i get another phone later on, I can use the s3 as a lab rat.
Again, thanks to everyone!
So I was tring to go back to stock completely, after I locked my bootloader and installed stock recovery, I proceed to sideload oss, like I've done before I put the phone in sideload mode, the device is recognized by adb although I got a cannot read file error, I downloaded the stock rom again (even though the zips were not corrupted as I could browse them easily) and the same thing happend.
Now I'm at a loss as what to do as it has stock recovery and no os installed, I can get into the bootloader and the stock recovery but I've never had this happen and I can't find anything that will help.
I tried with cmd prompt and adb in administration mode no change, I also made sure the file was in the adb folder.
I'm not sure of what else to say except to ask for help, I'm way bummed out, I've gone back to stock on this device before the only difference was I was running marshmallow other than that idk any other changes since the last time.
I would be very grateful for any help at all. Right now I just need a working phone,
Thank you for reading my post and thank you in advance for possible help with my issue.
Simple reboot of PC should do the trick, at least that did it for me
Didn't work for me, after the first fail I went to a l coffee shop and downloaded the rom again after shutting the pc off in the mean time.
It had no problem flashing the stock recovery it was only after I locked the bootloader and then tried to flash the stock rom
Check the specification of pc should be 4GB ram, drivers, and disable anti virus.

Keep your bootloader unlocked, I assume you try to ADB sideload? Try adb push file /sdcard/ then manually flash it through TWRP

This doesn't make sense... Even a 1GB RAM laptop can do this.
The specs. Of the pc is not the issue
So your advice would be to unlock the bootloader and use twrp?
Currently as I s

No the specs are not an issue lol.. Basically it cannot read the file you are trying to sideload, this is because of either wrong adb drivers, or wrong Fastboot drivers... A easy work around is to manually push the file with "adb push filename directory" then you manually flash it but since stock recovery can't do this it won't work.
So what steps do I need to do to fix this,
Do I first lock the bootloader, then flash twrp? Also to push the file with adb what mode should I put the phone in?
Sorry For these terrible replies, I'm on a very old backup device.
It's odd to me as adb detects the device just fine, I was even able to flash the stock recovery, as I was trying to go back to complete stock.
In all I need to get the device work again.
I have the latest stock rom and twrp, I just don't want to make it totally bricked as right now I can at least get the phone into the bootloader and in side load mode (although it doesn't work)
So basically I'm asking how in what order should i go about, locking the bootloader, flashing twrp, and push the rom, I've never done this before.
I can't thank you enough for trying to help me out.
I'm thinking I would unlock the bootloader then flash twrp recovery, then idk what mode I should be in to try and push the rom via adb (I've never done this) as once I get twrp on the device and have the rom on the device I hope to have no problem flashing the rom through twrp.
Thank you for replying I hope to resolve this ASAP.
Sorry for not editing my previous post im struggling with the device I'm currently using, I don't understand why my drivers or adb version isn't working as i had no problems locking the bootloader and flashing stock recovery, the only problem I ran into was the last step, flashing the rom.
So yeah I don't know but after I locked the bootloader.... problems

Unlock your bootloader, install twrp. Then wipe all partitions. Adb push your rom to a directory you can remember I usually do /sdcard/ (just stay in twrp.) then you click on install and your rom should be there.
Keep the bootloader unlocked... Just in case, no need to relock it again since you will lose data if you run into an issue.
THANK YOU! All I did was unlock the bootloader and the phone started up I am assuming it did not wipe the system partition and it ended up restarting as if I did a factory reset
Hey guys, I've been searching all day for a way to revert to stock recovery on my t mobile moto z2 force (XT-1789-04) and I can't find anything anywhere. I've scoured the forum and google all day but just can't seem to find either a. a rom that has stock recovery or b. a stock recovery image. Would anyone be willing to point me in the right direction? Thanks!!!
Edit: this is so I can install OTA updates again because when the download verifies, it fails without asking me to reboot meaning I can't use flashfire in this case. I'm very particular about things being a certain way with my phone, so please help me out!

You'd have to flash a stock boot image and lose root. You can't take OTA without going full stock then rerooting afterwards. The OTA does a hash check on the device to make sure system has never been mounted rw and also checks to see if boot is unmodified (where root and recovery sits in this phone).
Ok then, thank you for the advice. The stock boot.img files I've used haven't brought back stock recovery though. It says no command with an android on its back. Could you please point me in the direction of a proper stock boot.img I could flash? I don't care about losing root. Also, I tried using blank flash for my device (I'm not entirely sure what that does though as I haven't yet gotten it to work) but it always hangs on <waiting for device>. Any advice?

That us stock recovery. Press power and vol up at the same time. It is very wonky and barely works correctly. Takes me a few goes at it before the recovery menu pops up.
