App Idea NFC timer - Samsung Galaxy Watch

I have searched and can't find anything that will serve as a timer for turning NFC off after a set period of time. I have noticed that if I forget to turn off NFC after making a purchase, my battery life is decreased.
Anyone willing to develop an app to turn off NFC after say, 30 seconds?

Using Tasker to save that battery

Just thought I would post some of my tasker setup to make my battery last a very long time!
First you need Tasker
You also need Secure Settings
And lastly you need Synker
if you want to make my settings super easy to install just download the two attached files and place them on the Sdcard in the Tasker folder.
userbackup.xml
userbackup.xml.txt
then start Tasker, click on the menu button and select Data then restore. This will place all my prebuilt settings in for you.
The first profile I have is Mobile. I have this profile made for when I am in my car but its settings are for anytime power is plugged in.
The things it does is: Turn on GPS, Turn off auto brightness, turn display brightness to max, turn auto sync on, turn media volume to full, turn display time out to one hour.
When unplugged from power it does the following: Turn off GPS, display turns off after 30 seconds, Auto brightness on, Auto sync off, wifi off.
The next setting turns on GPS automatically once maps or navigation is started then turns it off once you exit those apps.
The next one is the big battery saver! When the display is off it Turns off mobile data and wifi.
When the display turns on it will wait five seconds and then turn on mobile data.
lastly I have it setup to turn on mobile data every 2 hours and sync gmail then turn mobile data back off.
I have had tasker for a long time but never really dug into it until I got the SG2. I think this will make your battery last much much longer.
If anyone has better suggestions please add your input.

i have the same setup but use juice defender to do the same thing as tasker and synker. it can actually more, like sync more or less at certain times of the day. but i've been thinking about switching to tasker, might be more battery efficient.
i'm using secure settings to turn gps on\off too, based on what applications get run. i noticed the little tray icon only turns on when an app is actively using the gps tho. does that mean gps only uses battery when actually in use? but it seems like i get more battery with it turned off completely.
for mobile, i'm going to attach gps to my car's nfc sticker instead of when plugged in. might be a little faster for charging at home.
i guess you could use secure settings and tasker to only turn nfc on at the lockscreen. although i'm not convinced nfc uses much battery.
lets see... i'm also using tasker to immediately turn off the display if upside down (in my pocket).
it turns data off if i'm reading an ebook or watching a video.
i use it for 1 click switching between 2g and 4g.
i use it to switch cpu max between 192000, 918000, and 1728000. you can get crazy battery life by running 192000 all day, but everything will run slow. usually i keep it at 918000 and play games at 172800.
there are lots of other things, but that's the battery stuff.

Hey ,I just wanna say thanks I was getting 8 hours on a Verizon extended battery but now using your settings and tasker plus extra apps I'm getting 14 to 15 ,I just wanted to add that it in order to use secure setting you have to root your phone but it worth it.

Do you still have these backup files? The links are dead when I try them. I would like to try out your settings.
Reupload please

First post and it's a necro asking for something. I swear I used to have an account here in high school.
Anyway, I think those files are gone. Every time I come back to Tasker I try to start from the group up and a day later I'm fiending for backup.xmls/txt just whatever you use for your battery, please, just a quick string of code.

SO far I've been looking everywhere for this but I don't it's possible at least yet. It would be nice to have the option to turn on the screen on demand instead of gesture. I've completed an experiment where I left the watch on on a table receiving only notification and after 12 hours I was at 76% battery life.

Yea that is close to how the gear 2 neo was, I checked it yesterday when my wife got off of work (because I gave it to her) and it was still at like 85 after a whole day. The moto was at 30. The only real difference in use I can think of is that gesture feature.

The gesture feature is killing battery, i am very active at work and overtime I look at it it's on. Thats allot of waste of battery power. at least 1% for every two screen on, not good.
I believe if we had the single tap or swipe down to turn on, it would make allot difference on the battery.
Motorola are you listening.
I agree just power on with pushbutton
I would also like to only turn on by pressing button. I would also like to extend the display time. Some of the watch faces I have display a lot of data and by the time I look at the time I want to see the date or second hand the display shuts off and I have to gesture again to look. I kind of look silly doing three gestures in a row for a basic watch function.
Agreed - this is the first thing i went to look for in settings, shocked to see i cant find it :S
I only want it to turn on when i tap the screen
AGREED
I use the watch to track my sleep and it's terrible on not only the battery life overnight, but absolutely awful to be woken up with a bright watch in my face because I moved my arm while I was asleep.
There should be an option to have it only turn on by a touch or button push, or just the button push only. Seems like an easy thing to implement. Come on Moto!

Why would you want to track your sleep?

Keep up with how long I sleep and the quality. You can track how much deep sleep you get compared to light sleep. Smart wake up alarms that will go off when you are in a lighter sleep as opposed to having an alarm pull you out of deep sleep. Lots of useful stuff.
Check out 'Sleep as Android' on the play store.

Threes features are coming in the next update... Android wear 5.0... Coming in December...
You have a movie mode where the watch goes screen off until you touch it to wake up...
You can use watch maker to change display time to 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds

Cover App sleep/timeout issue

There are settings for anywhere from 5 seconds up to 30 minutes for the sleep timeout. However, no matter which one I select, the cover app goes to sleep in about 3 seconds. If I set it for Never, it will stay on but obviously that isn't an option as it would drain the battery fast.
Anyone else had this problem?
Really? I'm the only person who has ever had this problem?

Many problems with moto360 (1gen)

1) Can i disable the functions of "cardiac activity" "pedometer" ?!
2) Battery life is very bad, what can I do to optimize it?
3) On reminders and alarm clocks, it doesn't vibrate, why?
nothing?
up
I just got mine and the performance was horrible. I had to let the software update to 5.x from 4.x and after that was done I deleted it from my phone and then did a factory reset on the watch. After I did all that I used a moto watchface and had 36 hours.
On optimising battery life:
Turn off gestures (tilt to wake, etc), ambient mode (the display doesn't need to be on all the time, press the side button or tap the screen), and wifi. I also turn mine off every night when I go to sleep (I never wear a watch to bed, anyway) and I can usually get 3-4 days out of mine, with decent use of the actual smartwatch features (voice texting, media control, responding to notifications).

Although it rear tilt to wake option is disabled, the watch lights up when it turned up in the display.
Probably something else causing it to light up, but I'm not sure now what.
If there is a clock faces that have settings for this, those in the WatchMaker Premium application do not have this option to turn off tilt to wake up for reduce the battery consumation.

The Android Wear app is the only place that I know of where the tilt to wake option is located.
I don't use either Facer or Watchmaker Premium, so I'm not sure about that option under either app.
Using either app can cause extra battery drain, since the watch communicates with the phone constantly (or at least frequently) to update the watch face.

You're right. I probably had in mind the possibility of stopping this option from the watch itself, which does not happen until you stop the application Android Wear, as you mentioned.
Alternatively, it is talking about is removing dim off the clock.
Thanks for your guidance.

Problems with bluetooth

Even though battery saver is turned off when my phone hits 30% my bluetooth turns off which is unfortunate because I wear a smart watch and a fitbit... Any ideas? I have seen some stuff about the smart tiles app causing it but I don't have that.
