Hi . I need a genies to make Viber or Skype work on my watch . That would be nice. I am from Denmark and the eSim dos not work yet so i have to find other way to make phone calls from the watch.

Viber the best app, it povide free calls betwin andriod to android mobiles, but you need
Internet coonections both sides.
Skype , Viber , Tango ... are working as ive tried .. of course no video calling ,just voice calling..

Fring is the best in industry... It has Best call clarity than Viber or other VoIP apps... and its easy to add the contacts, chat with gtalk, yahooo messenger, msn friends... there are so many features in Fring... So i Strongly Recommend Fring...

Is video.call possible with this phone? My wife has a galaxy sl and can do video call. Does the captivate glide have this capability? I've done it with gtalk and skype.

Yes. I have done it with Skype, Fring and the google one I think is Gtalk.
I have done it with skype and gtalk as well. On my wifes galaxy sl it has an option for video call when she makes a normal phone call. Does this phone have that type of option?

What I do have is Contacts from Skype that I have merged with my Google Contacts allow me to make a skype video call. It has the option "Video call with Skype"
I went to Contacts ---> Groups --> and choose my Skype user name and can see all my Skype contacts and those contacts have the "Video call with Skype" option.

Ask you're survive provider what app they support in free video calls, dialer has no ability to make video calls.

Seconding dudejb here -- this is done through some app provided by that carrier, which may only be available on phones sold by that provider. Even if they won't willingly provide you with the app, hope is not completely lost -- you can dump the APK from a friend's Android phone, or get creative with an OtG cable on a demo unit at one of their stores. No guarantees that'll work though -- it may depend on some weird framework or hardware inside their phones.

Hi, I've tried to search forum in this topic without success, so I need a clear answer for this question: is there any ROM supporting native video calls at the moment for i927?
And the second question (no need for very clear answer ) - anybody found any way to make native video call with i927? I thought this device is part of Galaxy S II series of phones which were declared to support such calls, but I'm quite confused now and afraid of being mislead...

I am using more viber than whatsapp on daily basis
I see many things regatding whatsapp on youtube etc
But can anyone using viber and have a samsung watch can tell their experience with viber notifications on the watch?
I know that we do receive the viber messages notitications on the watch but
- can we reply back to messages like we can to whatsapp messages from the watch?
- if we receive a call on viber do we get a notification on the watch or even better can we receive the call and talk directly on the watch?
I tried so much on google but never got that answer...

It was showing Whatsapp incoming calls on the watch and I can answer it from my watch but
I did reset the watch and now I couldn't receive the incoming Whatsapp calls I just get a notification for missed calls
One UI watch over 1.5
Tizen ver 4.0.07

It's a known issue for years now. Samsung tries to pull the wool over your eyes when you talk to them about it. They tried to gaslight me about it but after I hit them with facts they just refused to acknowledge it.

I solved the problem with work around
by installing Unseen app so now at least see the notification of incoming calls
Where is this Unseen app?
Do you install it on your watch or on your phone?

its app allows you to see the incoming messages on any platform with out gave seen to the sender

hi there sorry to bring up an old thead..pls share which app it was and how u got it to notify the whatsapp call on the galaxy watch..i have a s3 frontier and this one thing is missing
same with me, I have samsung A8 (2018, Android 9) and Galaxy Watch 4, but there is no notification for incoming whatsapp call on the watch.

These notifications are shown whenever your watch ist connected to your phone which has these apps installed.
App calls are not available, only phone calls (LTE model is also capable of standalone calls).

Do you mean i should install these app in watch to make notification shown?
And calls froms apps not never shown ?i mean if someone call me at whatssapp is this call shown in watch and know who calling or not

Only phone needs to have the apps installed. The watch can show any notification independent of the app, the app does not need to be installed on the watch.
Even though you cannot answer app calls on the watch, you'll get notified of missed calls als long as the phone app shows a notification about the missed calls (most apps do).
