Hi, someone else has this problem?
in Android 9 my camera mod won't start, only show the Hasselblad screen logo on camera app, but one of my friends has another moto z2force in Oreo, ande mod works perfectly
I have the same problem with Z2 Play on Pie. After launching camera, lens opens and it sometimes even shows picture, but then error message opens "can not connect to camera" and the app closes. Lens doesn't retract.

sorry if this is too noob of a question but, i have been running all variations of cyanogenmod that that have been available, and at the beginning camera was not functional and i was okay with that.
Now that camera has been fixed, am i the only one who still gets fc on the camera.
the camera will not even launch, i get a black screen and then a "camera is not responding force close or wait" msg.
any help on how to fix this will be appreciated..
went back to a stock rooted rom and still no camera
running logcat and trying the camera i get a "UI BLOCKING" when i hit the camera button or any button and i have a black screen and only hitting Home works...
Any help would really be appreciated....
I've used this site for a long time for help with my phone (thnx btw), but this is my first post....
I have a tmobile g2 rooted running cm7 with go launcher ex and here is my problem: I wanted to installed camera 360 as the default camera when the hardware camera button is pushed. Upon installing camera 360 and pressing camera button, option was not given but instead opens default camera.
I thought that maybe the app didn't override the system controls and downloaded Vignette as well. This time when I hold down the camera button, it gives me the option to make vignette, camera 360, and regular camera default option of this button. Great. So I set it to camera 360 and test it and it worked.
So...I uninstalled Vignette. I don't much like it and it slows down my phone so I didn't need it. After it was uninstalled, I pressed the camera button again and the default android camera launches instead of camera 360. Checked settings in manage apps and camera 360 is still set as default option.
Installed Vignette again and pressed camera button and camera 360 launches. I have tried this process while testing the settings in camera 360 as well. All result in same result. Also tried freezing Vignette with Titanium but that doesn't work either.
So.....I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to have Camera 360 launch with hardware button without having Vignette installed. Ideas?
Manage applications > Camera > Clear defaults...?? possibly.
One M8 running Viper ROM v1.8.1.
A lot of times when I open the camera app, I see nothing but a black screen and the on screen buttons (back/home/recents). No matter where I tap, I can't see anything. However, I can still hear that it's still working in selfie mode, because if I tap where the shutter button should be, I hear the countdown, and I actually get a photo in my gallery afterwards. In order to get the camera running properly I basically have to kill the app, clear it from recents and do this several times, hoping that it'll let the camera app run properly. It's kind of pot luck if it does or not. Usually I have to do this process 4-5 times before the camera app finally opens and I can actually see the viewfinder and choose the rear camera and such.
Does anyone know what might be happening? I've tried clearing the camera app data, and resetting everything in the app to default and that didn't help.
Same issue mate
I'm on same rom v2.5 cleared data and still no joy did you fix yours?
So I just unlock bootloader and install TWRP, SuperSU and I find issue with Front Camera - it doesn't work. On camera app, messenger, Snapchat there's no option to change back camera to front. Any idea how to fix?
Anyone notice the portrait mode doesn't work in camera app? It always says it can't recognize the face, though I surely find it.in viewfinder. This is very annoying cause I use this feature a lot.
And the pop up announcement about studio mode to change the background, nowhere to find for me in camera app
