Note 10+ Flashing Issues - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I need some help. I'm on Verizon Note 10+. I was on firmware version N975USQS1ASI3 and wanted to upgrade to the newest firmware N975UOYN2ASJ8 which I got from Frija. I used Odin3.13.3B to flash but it hangs at like 90% on system.img.ext4. It never completes and if I disconnect I get the Alert message on the phone and can't do anything but try flashing again. Any help or ideas will be appreciated.
Can anyone share N975USQS1ASI3 tar to see if going back would work better.
Thanks,
BlueKalel

Need help fixing Soft Bricked Sprint Galaxy S III

Hi I was wondering if anyone here can help me in a very very annoying situation I got myself in. So pretty much I flashed a Lolipop ROM on my phone and it worked but i really didn't like that the camera didn't work, so I restored back to a backup I made of my original firmware. Everything seemed to be working but I was constantly getting Google Play crashes spammed at me each second... so I tried to wipe the device. At this point I didn't care about losing data I just wanted to have stock firmware and fresh device. It it nothing I ended up bricking my phone so now when I power it on it says, "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. I'm a noob at this stuff and so for the last two days i've been searching for 'stock firmware' or 'stock ROMS' for Sprint Galaxy S III SPH-L710 I've downloaded these .tar.md5 files and tried flashing them with Odin but it always fails! It's so frustrating and I'm pretty sure it's an easy fix its just I'm so dumb to see it and I also can't use my phone :/... PLEASE HELP EVEN SUGGESTIONS ARE FINE......
Thanks

Can you get into download mode? Turn off the phone. Then press power + Volume Down + Home. If so, go to this site: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/confirm/41671/L710VPUDNJ2_L710SPRDNJ2_SPR/
Download the file, unzip, and then flash with ODIN. Make sure your phone is plugged into the computer and recognized in ODIN before flashing. The new version of ODIN, I think you load it in the PA slot and PDA in the old one. Make sure you are downloading hte file over a good connection and not a phone data.

Do you have the T variant of the phone? Look under the back cover and make sure that whatever you flash is specifically for your model number.

Trying To Get Back To Stock

Hello everybody, I'm in way over my head here. A few months ago, I rooted my device using odin. I felt that this was fairly simple and I had no issues. Today, I tried updating the software and got a message that said something like "can not update as you have unauthorized software installed". I thought I had better unroot and that's where my problems begin.
I unrooted using supersu, , but it still would not let me download the software update. I thought that the recovery must be the issue, so I tried flashing back to the stock image using odin and now the thing won't even turn on. It goes through the samsung startup screens and then goes into a sequence of 3 or 4 error messages that all read something like "Unfortunately, dialer storage has stopped"
I don't think I've done irrepairable damage but I'm not sure where to go now. It doesn't want to boot into recovery but I can get into download mode. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Flash the stock firmware in Odin to go back to 100% stock. You'll have to find the stock firmware (kitkat or lollipop) in one of these forum threads or download it from sammobile.
Edit: You didn't mention which device you have (8.4 or 10.5; wifi or cellular). Below are stock firmwares for 8.4 and 10.5.

Thank you! I have the sm-t805w. I have downloaded the firmware from sammobile and will attempt to install it this evening. Do I need to install gapps as with nexus devices or is that included in the firmware files?

Sprint note 4 problems

Hi guys,
I've gone and downloaded the latest stock firmware for my sprint note 4 since it's sometimes having problems booting. I am trying to reinstall the stock image N910PVPS4DPJ1_N910PSPT4DPJ1_SPR but when I run on Odin i get no pit error message. I have found the post where to download the PIT file from, but I am wondering if doing this will erase my programming for the phone number on the note 4. I have tried to do a EFS backup but I am having problems using the app since my phone is still stock and unrooted. Since my phone is having so mch problems and I'm having a hard time, can someone please give me a troubleshotting step by step guide on what should I do? If flashing the stock file and the PIT will not erase the phone programming please let me know and I will proceed doing it that way.
Thanks,

BootLoop problems

Hi, I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active and while updating, it went into a bootloop. I cant boot into recovery, odin fails to flash the stock rom, and all I get when booting is:
SAMSUNG
Galaxy S7 Active
Powered By
android
screen. It doesn't even go to that, all it does is boots into recovery. I don't want to send it out for repairs (Mostly because I am broke).
If also, may I get answers from people that own one and been in this problem before and/or people that know how to repair this issue.
Also, I can only use the Stock Recovery.
Thanks, Nysean01'
Edit: I have also been to this. It was no help what so ever and got me deeper to this point in the post.
Edit 2: I have a backup phone and that one is currently working. I still wanna keep using my newer one.
which rom/version was you on?
which you trying to get to?
which ones have you tried in odin?
are you loading all the files ?
does it say it completes successfully ?

7.0
Not trying to change
Yes, I'm loading all the files
Nope. It says in red, FAIL.
then i would guess that the file is currupt, or maybe the cable is dodge...
but which version was you on before (QB2) and which you tried so far ? (QD4 ?)

I was running the latest version of everything. 7.0 for phone, 10 for computer, and a mod odin.
Try a different Odin package, an older stock ROM and a different cable.
Which ones would you recommend?
Odin 3.12.4 and PI2, that is the earliest on BL2, try that, and if it works you should be able to OTA back up.
Mark as closed. I took it to the store, and even they said that they cant do nothing about it. So, Since I had the warranty (didn't know, was a hand me down), Samsung is sending me a new phone.
I have the same problem, got stuck on Nand writel. Already try different odin versions, I was on the last stock room, the problem was that I heva virus and had to do a hard reset, but when I finish got stuck on google verification, after try a lot of times I decided to fls stock room, but I fail.
What I can do it?

Need help updating with odin. I've tried everything

I'm so lost on how to use this forum, and I'm really stuck. I've got an sm-g986u on at&t, it's not got an update since June. I'm trying to update it via odin. I don't use a sim card in it as it's not my main phone so I can't get ota updates, and smart switch doesn't work either. I would just throw a sim in it but I guess I bought a blacklisted phone, I didn't realize until long after I couldn't return it. Anyway, if I use frija it detects a T-Mobile update for it, but it won't download. It goes for a bit and then drops to zero mb/s. I downloaded the update myself and when I enter the files into oidn, it freezes after I select the cp file and says not responding indefinitely. I just want to get this thing to one ui 2.5. I cannot find any guide for how to do this. I've managed to confirm odin 3.14.4 is the right version of odin to use, but I can't find what the correct update should be, or a good source for it, as sam mobile's free server has been down. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.
EDIT I found a thread explaining the process pretty well but now I have a new problem. I downloaded the suggested 3.14.13b version of odin, which is fine, and I downloaded the latest u1 update from sammobile. I'm getting an error when unzipping the ap file. I've tried the stock windows unzipper, 7 zip and 9 zip, all three error out. I tried to add the file in odin to see if it would go through it not and it just freezes, as it did before. Any help?
