How do I get the CRT sleep animation?

I am at lost on how to put the crt tv animation for when i turn my phone off into sleep mode
Flash the file in this thread with CWM.
If you don't have cwm or want to do it manually extract the libsurfaceflinger.so from the zip (its in the system/lib folder).
Using a root explorer, copy this file to system on your phone, set permissions to rw-r--r-- and then move this file to system/lib, replacing the original file when asked. It may be a good idea to copy the original file as a backup before trying any of this.

i did this to my r800x which is 2.3.3, and its in a boot loop now. Is there a different version for 2.3.3? Or should that one work for every version?
I'm not sure, but i think it may not work on lower than 2.3.4. Also no idea about r800x support. Try posting on that thread itself, you may get more replies than here.
Can someone please upload a stock libsurfaceflinger.so file from their 2.3.3 phone?

Flashable N7 Boot animation

Can anyone make, please, this (attached) boot animation flashable?
Everytime I install a new rom I have to install root explorer, copy the file, rename the old one, rename the new one, reboot, and uninstall root explorer.
With a flashable boot animation this will turn out a lot easier
Please!!!
Thanks

[Q] Unable to Edit System Files Using any File Explorer

So this is a problem I've had basically since day one with my Nexus 7. No matter what file explorer I use, I can not edit anything in the root directories. Unable to save build.prop edits for example. I am assuming it is a permission thing but I have no idea exactly what I am doing wrong or how to fix it. Any help is appreciated.

Are you rooted? If you are - check to see if you are in read only mode in your file manager(s)
Besides requiring root, apps like ES File Explorer need to have root access turned on. Root Explorer needs a directory mounted as R/W.
Best practice, anyway, is to copy a file (especially build.prop) to a regular directory under /sdcard, edit it there, rename the original, then copy back the modified file.
I managed to figure it out. Was using cm file explorer and root browser. Got root browser working by changing permissions on the system folder.
I always copy files into the internal storage before editing. Thanks for the replies.

[RESOLVED] Deodex Patch Issue

Hi, I have UB and flashed this pre-rooted 5.1.1 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3200948
[Stock][PreRooted][DualRecovery][D5503] 14.6.A.0.368 Customized DE - Lollipop 5.1.1) and after rebooting I flashed the deodex patch and rebooted again. I then tried to delete the 2 odex files as instructed in the patch thread using root explorer.
Every time I try to delete either file it fails after root explorer asks to remount the system folder.
I'm using the Amazon app of the day version of root explorer if that makes any difference. Any alternative file explorers I could use? Does it matter if I can't delete those files? Thanks

Try SDmaid. I have pro version, so can't vouch for free version being the same or not, but whenever other apps have failed, it has succeeded for me. I had always used RTB pro root browser before, but I had some similar issues a few times, and SDmaid took care of it.
Resolved
I think the initial issue is that the pre-rooted rom didn't grant full root access. I followed these instructions and was able to delete the odex files in the system folder

HELP Lollipop 5.1.1 How to install bootanimation to stock deodex/rooted firmware ?

Hello
I would like to install custom bootanimation in my 5.1.1 stock rooted deodex firmware but all my searches spoke about bootanimation.zip to backup in system/media or in other folders but I don't have any bootanimation.zip to backup so my question is how can I install bootanimation.zip in this case ? Is there a mod to install before ?
Thanks
Edit :
I found bootanimation in system/bin so I replaced it with the one from another boot animation and put bootanimation.zip to system/media
but when I rebooted, I only had a black screen with sound without bootloop.
Please help
OK Thanks Me,
I found the solution, I replaced bootanimation in system/bin by myself directly then placed bootanimation.zip in system /media via TWRP file manager then reboot and now it works
