Best Rom for FOD? - Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I'm looking for the best ROM for FOD.
I'm currently using developer miui 11 (eu 9.11.21), but I'm not completely happy with speed and accuracy of FOD, so, according to your experience, which ROM is the best for this?, I'm open to go back to android 9 if need to, even use a custom ROM, but I want the best FOD experience. Maybe is my imagination but I think Miui 10 (eu) had better speed and accuracy.
I read you guys, and thanks a lot! =)

Currently the best rom for Mi 6?

Hi guys!
Im going to buy xiaomi mi6 soon, so i want you to share with me your opinions about custom roms you used. Could you tell me what rom is the least bugged and gives me the most comfortable work with this device? Maybe the global stable is? Generally im looking for the best rom, and them futures.
If you are keeping bootloader locked then go for global beta most likely.
If you will unlock then the stable ROMs are based on 7.1.2.
AOSPA has a good reputation but LineageOS 14 is about to go official for Sagit.
The 8.1 ROMs are stable enough for most uses and so far I had no issues. Just waiting for Oreo kernel sources from Xiaomi for more stability.
There is no overall best ROM. Just the best for you.
Most people here don't like MIUI though.
Its alright but for anyone who's used to AOSP style ROMs they will not feel at home using it.
Its like an iOS splice of Android leaning more heavily to Android.

MIUI gives the best experience for me, most of time I flash weekly ROM's from Xiaomi.eu. They have stable too, if you don't want to flash every week and you don't mind trying new features. Xiaomi.eu team do a great job and sometimes fix some issues with official ROM's.
You have more MIUI based ROM's like Globe Rom, you can customize before downloading and Epic Rom I'm using this week.
If you like AOSP 'flavour' you can try Resurrection Remix (RR) very customizable via settings, and the classic Lineage OS (the old Cyanogen Mod).
Give a try some of them an tell us you experience

MIUI Global Stable - Stock ROM back in May, pretty okay, except battery drain was pretty bad. About 80-100mA drain during standby
Xiaomi.eu - the first non-official ROM I use, but still a MIUI-based. At least they give consistent weekly update and improvement. Battery drain problem was fixed here. But alas, I still hate MIUI's notification handling. The moment AOSP-based ROM pop, I made a switch, which is
LineageOS 14 by Xiaobai - first AOSP based ROM for Mi6. It was pretty good. I used LOS14 on my LG G2 back then, so it was pretty much as good as it can get
Lineage 15.0 by NisseCool/UnknownDev420 - Probably one of the first Oreo/non-MIUI ROM available here. Still lots of bugs, but usable. But phone gets really hot (up to 47c during load). Project is getting less update since December. Then finally I made a jump to
crDroid (Android 8.1) by Verevka - It has all the bugs in LOS15.0 fixed and have the goodness of MIUI camera. The downside right now is that QC3.0 isn't working. You're capped at 1500mA charging instead of 3000mA, which is pretty okay considering it'll get fixed and the ROM is still getting updated regularly.
Thanks guys, you are really helpfull. The roms you described have OTA update future? I like to enjoy with installing custom roms etc. but i dont want to manually update os after all updates.
I think Epic ROM from MrRaines is the only custom ROM we have here that has OTA. Though I've never tried it before.
Which rom do you guys think has the best battery performance?? I am using RR now and getting a SoT of around 7 hrs to %20

Did anyone try the flymeOS that is new for mi6
rn im using MIUI global beta with android 8.0.0 and very smooth here. However, as soon as official Lineage OS is out im installing it. Ive already tested other custom roms such as AEX and another one based on android 8 (not miui) and i was very happy although i left due to poor camera and some bug which didnt allow me to update one app precisely which i used, so had to go back
for now im on miui eu stable.Bugs free battery is very good and ofc is fast.

New Mi Mix 2...best current ROM for stability?

Hi, I just got a new Mi Mix 2 and am wondering which ROM is the current best as of April 2018 for stability with all features (especially the proximity sensor, bluetooth, and all the basics)? I've read may of the ROM threads and haven't been able to come up with which would be best. The base version of Android doesn't matter to me as much as stability and that the ROM isn't based on MIUI (I can't stand it).
Thanks in advance!!

They are all pretty much the same when it comes to stability, just have to try them and see what's best for your own needs

The best and most stable ROM for me is the current Global Dev....
I can recommend RR 6.0.0; it's very stable and configurable. Battery is not as good as stock miui though; but if you hate miui it's an awesome choice.
i'd recommend official omni rom

Thank you friends!!!

Btw guys...I had to choose miui based roms over aosp because of the poor internet connectivity of aosp roms...if anyone has a workaround for that, please help once again.
And just so you know,I didn't choose to install magisk since it itself consumes battery to install modules and update them and audio effects and all were already good in this rom with cam2api enabled...so I couldn't ask for more.

Need help choosing a stable AOSP rom...

I'm new to RN8P world, and don't have time to test all roms from this forum.
Actually i'm on stock MIUI 12.5.5, unlocked bootloader, but I heard this device bricks easily, so I don't have time to fix mistakes...
I need help and tips from you guys to choose the more stable AOSP rom for RN8P, I'm counting on you

I want to squeese more RAM and I don't like MIUI too much, I feel spyed...
Then i will suggest some from my experience:
- For customize: AncientOS and Nusantara are good for me
- For camera: If your phone is India one, LineageOS GSI from Timjosten is the best, based on Q-Oss and use Miui Cam with it feature (not ANX)
- For battery/perfomance: Try some custom kernels and find out with are the best for you
- For A11 with A12 exprerience: DotOs A11 is good
- For A12: not stable, but some can use at daily rom (AncientOS), some other A12 roms has some other bugs, Bluetooth issue.... And mostly screen recorder won't work by defauft, need to install other app or do something idk.
- And some other roms with their special you need to flash to find out.
- AOSP has some random bugs. And it's good for me doesn't mean it's good for you. Maybe just flash and find out with one suitable.
- If you dont know where to find these roms and their flash guide, you can try type Redmi note 8 pro Official or Update on Telegram. Idk why they drop many updates and new roms in XDA

Question Best MIUI based ROM

Im in search of a rom that is basically MIUI based with android 13 and best for battery backup and performance. Which ROM do you recommend?
MIUI isn't exactly efficient. No MIUI-based Custom ROM can change that.
But if you want a reliable MIUI with regular, automated updates = Xiaomi.eu

I know its not efficient but I dont like aosp roms thats why I was asking for it. I already have tried xiaomi.eu, miuivn and miui EliteRom. All of them have their own bugs.
Thanks for the suggestion bro. Much appreciated.

Try MIUI SR. It has some Customization options. But I prefer MIUI EU. I'm currently on 13.0.9 and not facing any issues and battery life is also good.

Could you please provide a download link for Miui SR? I cant find it anywhere. Im currently on MiuiVN which is great but the only problem im facing is auto brightness shooting up to 80% brighter screen for no reason in normal light scenarios which is very frustrating for me.

You can find MIUI SR from following Telegram Channel: https://t.me/Miuisr_alioth
I'm on MIUI eu 14.0.23.1.9.DEV and it's been a good amount of time. It's rooted and debloated completely fine. TWRP is there. I am not planning to update to newer versions since no bug is here and battery consumption is fine. Below are some screenshots.
