I have Samsung Galaxy watch, and trying to install Spotify. - Samsung Galaxy Watch

I have Samsung Galaxy watch, and trying to install Spotify, but can't find it in the store.
Any way to install it on the watch ?

Try with this direct link
http://apps.samsung.com/gear/appDetail.as?appId=com.spotify.w-spotify

Not available in my region
The link redirects to message saying it's not available in my region.

Which is your region? I have installed yesterday Spotify on my watch, there are two options, first as Client, that works when your watch is connected via BT and second, standalone the way I prefer, but you have to buy premium subscription for Spotify.
I am in Greece and works perfect, I found Spotify on Samsung store.

Simple. . remove sim card .. get a free vpn app and choose USA (I used Germany also works) ... Clear data of the Galaxy wearable app ... Open it and search for Spotify .. install and enjoy

My region is Egypt middle East.
I have already premium account, and Spotify is available already in my region in Google store!

You have to download Spotify direct to your watch from Galaxy store, than you have 2 options, your watch can be used as a client, it must be connected via BT, or you can install an use Spotify as standalone app on your watch.

Even when searching from the watch in the standalone more, I couldn't find the application.
Any way to install the app to the phone from a file, like apk in Android phones?

If you're connecting the Galaxy watch to a non Samsung phone that is why you cannot get Spotify it gets removed from the watch and it's not an option unless you're connected to a Samsung phone

I don't have a Samsung phone, but I have Spotify on my watch as standalone app... So I can listen from my phone and from my watch as well with BT headphones without my phone.

Here is my solution. Download Spotify playlists as local files on your phone via drmare tool first. And connect your watch to the phone. Then open the Galaxy Wearable app on the phone. Choose 'Add content to your watch' > 'Add tracks'. Then sync the tracks from the phone to the watch. The added tracks are saved in the Music app.

Run the Galaxy Watch app at first and select Galaxy Store to search for 'Spotify' in the search bar. You may well find it in the homepage of the Galaxy Store app. Then press the Install button on the Spotify app's page and it'll start installing on your Galaxy Watch. If you have a Spotify Premium account, you can easily take control of your Spotify music on Galaxy Watch, and listen to songs on the go. Otherwise, you could download a collection of Spotify tracks on your Galaxy Watch for listening offline. Indeed, the option to download is only available for Spotify Premium users, you can try Tunelf Spotify music downloader, downloading music with a free account.

Anyone downloaded Google Music app?

Hi guys.
has anyone tried downloading google music app? I know you can only use it in the USA but i am wondering if you use market enabler would it be possible to use it in the UK for example?
Anyone who has done that can you give me any tips on how to get it working? tried with market enabler but no luck
Thanks
Google music apk
Just download the .apk and install it directly, bypass the market:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1533816
I use it (in the UK) on a locked 3 One X and it works a charm, absolutely love it. If your outside the US you'll have to set up a google music account through a VPN first though before you can use the app properly.

No problem glad I could help
As for Spotify, I've never really liked the idea of not actually having a physical copy of the music. Each to their own really.

[Q] Gpad and Xbmc guide?

You can just download the APK from the XBMC website and install it on the tab. It works fine on the G Pad, however unless your hooking it up to a TV via a dock or MHL adapter, your best sticking with a basic media player for playing files on the tab itself.
I can't post links yet but Google 'XBMX Android' and it's the first link!
yes you can workni great so far!

With a decent internet connection, XBMC works very well on the stock rom or with the Malladus custom rom.It doesn't work with any of the Kit Kat-based custom roms currently available. Which is why I can't use the latter.
The best results I've obtained have been with the XAF build of XBMC. This is the version that automatically uses MX Player to play back video. It's free from many of the issues that can affect playback using XBMC's native player.
1. You install MX Player (free version) from the Play Store and run it once. Go to settings/decoder and check H/W + (for smooth hardware acceleration).
2. You install the XAF build of XBMC, which used to be found here, thanks to a developer. I think the link still works.
http://goo.im/devs/kemonine/xbmc/xbmc-frodo-12.1-xaf-neon-set_top-20130503-47b0a23c60.apk
3. Search any recent on-line guide to how to set up XBMC add-ons, especially from XBMChub and Xunity. What is available will amaze you.

Great, glad you're getting on ok with 12.3.
I should clarify: none of the XBMC Frodo builds, including 12.3, is hardware accelerated. For the smooth playback of all true HD video, you need that. That's why I use the XAF build, because it relies on MX player and its superb hardware acceleration. That combo can handle just about any type of streamed video.

You need to install Google Account Manager 4.0.3 and any version of Google Services Framework and Google Services. If you are on Fire OS 4.1.1 (Sangria) then one extra permission needs to be granted via ADB. Instructions in this thread:

I second that. Viral Pro is even better than Youtube because you can have a popup player over any other applications. Logging in to Youtube account is also nice.

Hi I use instatube pro (not hd) it can download for offline viewing.
Snaptube
SnapTube is a great alternative client for YouTube:
Ad free
Video downloader
Direct MP3 downloader
Automatic updates through the app itself
I has been banned from the Google Play Store due to the downloading features.
It is listed on the Amazon AppStore, but I would not trust it: amazon version is 1.3.0 vs 1.9.1 for the latest official one. Maybe the one on Amazon is a fake or unauthorised listing by a third party.
Get it from the official page here:
http://snaptubevideo.com/
Official XDA Discussion.
Use opera browser side load the play store version
Supertube has background playing and a pop out player.
NewPipe! You can find it in the F-droid, awesome free open-source app manager. It is really nice if you use youtube for music, as you can download the mp3 file (or video) with one button and play songs in the background.
For those who keep on FireOS 4, Skytube is a great Open Source option, available on the Amazon Store, its a native app (not a browser linked to mobile youtube like other "apps" on Amazon Store), you can read comments, upload your suscriptions (manually), the only cons, you cannot login, but its fine to light usage.

Best Android Wear apps for our Huawei

I was wondering which apps are really recommended to install when starting using the watch (or Android wear watch in general)
e.g. sleep as android or remote camera
and is there an app like flux or screen filter for smartwatches (to dim the screen for dark areas cause brightness 1 is still too bright)
No one that can recommend cool Android Wear apps?
Always On watch, PDF reader, Weareal, Wear edge controls...
Feel the Wear
If you have a Logitech Harmony, I recommend Harmony Wear.

no, don't have one
flux and sleep as android both have plugins that work with the watch
i have both of them paid versions
f.lux controls your watch screen as well as your phones
and sleep as android monitors your movement and heart rate etc when you wear the watch to sleep. (i charge it in the morning as soon as i wake up, and its at 100% before i am (shower food etc) )

Id love to know, why, when I click either one of those links, and see the play store, and I click to see which of my devices are compatible with the apps, both apps tell me that my Huawei Watch is incompatible, theres an X next to my watch in the device compatibility list (and a checkmark next to my Note 5)

One reason could be if you're on the Developer Preview. If so, you have to install directly on the watch with the watch's Play Store.
Bought an Android!! Good luck for anyone else in my shoes. Thanks apple for me going to the other side.
Make a watch with a real clock faces and a phone that works with other watch's.
-----------------------
I have an Iphone and no Android. I have ADB working right now and like to side load some faces but they all have a .watch file. Can I put the application of Facer or WatchMaker on the watch and then adb a .watch file? Need a way to make this work and I know there are a-lot of smart Tech Cats out there!! Please Help
Cant find any .APK of nice watch faces or even Rolex Mov and others!
1. Install watchmaker from the playstore on your smartphone.
2. Go to https://plus.google.com/communities/106982503578105386202
3. Find a watchface you like, then download it or send it to your dropbox. (I use dropbox myself)
4. Download the .watch file to your smartphone. (I use export from Dropbox to Downloads folder on my Nexus)
5. Open watchmaker and use the "import" button on the top-right of the app and browse to where you saved the .watch file
That's it. Now you can use the watchface by clicking "Set Watchface".
^good stuff!
Best apps I use:
2048
Bees Recorder
Browser
File Boss
Find My Phone
Heart Trace. THE BEST APP IN THE UNIVERSE
Photos
Pocket Casts
Shazam
TypeIt Wear SMS
Yeah, to stay ontopic, here's my top favorites as of now:
Yatse (if you have a Kodi mediaplayer, you can use your watch as a remote and browse your media)
Domoticz (I use Domoticz as a home automation tool on a Raspberry and this app enables me to switch lights, heating, etc.)
Endomondo (for heartrate monitoring during workouts, but Fitbit is more accurate)
Spotify (I own BT wireless headphones and with this, I'm able to control my Spotify from my wrist instead of taking my phone out of my pocket)
I would recommend Coffee SMS for Android wear. However, I uninstalled it because it does not show group SMS. If they update it to show group SMS, then I will get it agian.
A Must Have!
SmartWear Dev
Automagic (the best one so far)
I've developed a flow that my mobile change to silent mode when I open the Theather Mode on my watch.
I also use another flows, start and stop a record on my mobile, make a call... and so on.

Speaker Groups

Hey.
Seems that some Android TV's can now be joined to speaker groups. My Nexus Player now has the option but not my TCL 32 (despite rebooting it like Shields need apparently). Has anyone got the speaker group option on their TCL or any other Android TV?
Ta

Yay!
Got an update for the Chromecast app, restarted the TV and now it works.
First tests suggest no audio on the TV for music streams. That suits me as I have a Chromecast Audio in the same room so only need a now playing screen on the TV.
Been using a LastFM/screensaver hack to do this so a nice update for me.

I wonder can't the chromecast built-in apk be hacked to enable it again?
Hello guys, jumping on this, maybe trying to flog a dead horse, i have a philips 55 8024/12 and it supposedly has chromecast built in v 1.42, but it doesn't really behave in google home like other normal chromecast devices, many options are missing...
so i thought i could try the v1.44 'chromecast built in -beta' by joining the tester program, however both via web browser on pc playstore and saying ->install to device or directly from the playstore app within android TV i am unable to install the beta update and its still on 1.42, it says its compatible, the download begins, but the moment it starts installing it just fails saying cannot install...
have tried clearing cache and data for google web view, play store but to no avail...any tips or is it just broken?

Chromecast built-in is quite limited compared to dedicated Chromecast devices.
And it's back but broken.
Just got a new (June) update to Chromecast. Can now join my TV to a speaker group again but casting to any group with TV in it just spins it's wheels then times out.
Nexus Player has no problem.
Hmm
I updated both of my nexus players to the latest chrome cast builds but I still don't see them in the speaker group when I try to add them or create a new one. Any suggestions?

I think Google are still experimenting. The option has gone again for my TV but remains on my Nexus player.
