I am thinking of buying a new Smartphone. In my country Realme 5 Pro 8GB/128GB and Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB/128GB are similarly priced. I am really really confused between these two.
Which one should I pick?
You expert opinions are required.

I'm about to buy a phone called Redmi Note 5 Ai but it resembles the Pro one a lot. Are these two phones the same? If I purchase the Ai one, will I have any trouble using roms from this forum? Sorry if this has been asked before, I just got really confused and couldn't find the exact answer on the internet.

I bought Redmi Note 5 AI and all roms for Redmi note 5 pro do work.
Both Note 5 pro and Note 5 AI have the same codename (whyred), so all whyred roms work on AI and the PRO variants

the pro is for indian region and AI is china and global difference is front camera pro is 20mpx and AI its 13mpx.
they use same firmware.
I actually have a Redmi Note 5 Pro, and I have no idea to what upgrade ... Was looking for Mi9 or Mi9T Pro, since I use smartphone for photo and gaming. So need atleast 855 snap and a good camera... Since 5G is coming, I don't know if now it's good to upgrade or it's better to wait

Yes, of course. The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with much better specs than the OnePlus 3. It will be loads better.
Is it proper for me to politely ask here, if Everyone can either
a) (preferred, I'd think)
create a new sub-directory for each model
or b) in EVERY post, please say, redmi note 9 Pro Global/Indian/Max
I just purchased one, using on AT&T in Florida, and am EXTREMELY confused.
The phone is running great, but the different models and monikers are driving me crazy.
PS: has the redmi note 9 Pro (global) been rooted yet?

You´re absolutely right, I find it very confusing too. I´ve just ordered a Redmi Note 9 Pro, but it seems I will be getting the Pro Max (which is good), but it wasn't even advertised as Max.
