I'm now having the infamous issue where the Wifi toggle switch. When Wifi is enabled, it immediately disables.. I believe this is because I need to perform another session following instructions to the absolute letter.
Fortunately, I always make a TWRP image along with Titanium Backup sets, copied externally, before testing.
Is there any reliable means to resolve this pervasive wifi bug?

I'm having this same wifi issue with stock image. It has appeared since September update. Also faced same kind of problem with bluetooth but it disappeared after December update.

I've found a method to permanently resolve it, so long as the modified monthly image matches that of the ROM. Let me know if you'd like a write-up.

The issue dissappeared for now after Google's security patch for January 2020 (build 00WW_1_400). Hope so that it won't come back:fingers-crossed:

I ordered a Nokia 7.2 as business phone. First thing I'll do is unlock and flash this rom. Wouldn't have ordered without LOS support.
How is the battery life compared to stock? Somebody who is currently using this, could someone pls let know about this? Thanks.
Hey! I guess I messed up... bootloader is unlocked but when I tried to flash with TWRP, for any reason I still having the "original" boot running and now I have no wifi... Any one can provide me a guidance?

Hi, please understand how bootloaders work. The locked bootloader ensures that secure boot is in place and the device will deny to boot if it notes any tampering from the OEM's hashes. So, never lock the bootloader on a custom software - the device will more or less become a brick ?

Installation experience
First of all, thanks for releasing a ROM on the same week that I purchased the new device!
At first I tried to just the stock ROM, running with TWRP and Magisk, and that worked with one reboot, but after select reset to factory settings in booted OS, it booted back to recovery in a recovery.
I had a problem with Magisk v20.1, which decided to leave my phone in a recovery bootloop (seems like it is a common issue on other phones too).
As I didn't have a backup of the original ROM (yes, I know I should have done this as soon as I had TWRP booted!), I had to install this ROM.
So far the installation went really well, but the switching between _a and _b seems a necessary step for some reason ? What will happen in future? Do we need to keep switching between _a and _b half way through the installation process ? Why do we need to do this between the ROM install and gapps install ?
If I want to install TWRP again after this ROM, should I overwrite boot_a and boot_b with your latest TWRP ?
Again, thanks for the ROM, it saved me from the recovery bootloop!

Hy there well your question
Why do we need to do this between the ROM install and gapps install ?
Here is my answer
We all know that what exactly a/b concept does
If we flash a zip from slot a automatically the zip installation will be done on alternative slot means inactive slot ( if you flash from A obviously inactive will be slot B ) now what next?
You question is why we need to switch slot after flashing ROM and flash gapps ?
Yes you have to switch because ROM has been installed on slot B here if you don't switch the slot and if you flash gapps automatically gapps will be installed on empty system because ROM flashed on slot b . so you have to switch and flash gapps so that gapps Will be installed on a particular ROM.
Build source code structure
Thanks for the explanation!
Would it be possible to share your build script changes that allows you to build this ROM ? I'd like to build it myself, to fix things such as enabling NFC, proximity sensor timeout (both of which I am having problems with).
Cheers,
Damien
Should I install this? this is my first time installing a ROM and im a bit worried that i might break something,
Good
Bluetooth is not working, it connects but cannot get audio out from bluetooth headset.

Normally , you will lost your internal data after you flash from miui.
1. you must unlock your phone, the bootloader must be unlocked.
2. use fastboot to flash twrp
3. boot to recovery
4. use cable to copy Rom, magisk, gapp
5. wipe davik cache, system ,data
6. flash the rom, magisk, gapp
7. in wipe page ,format data, type yes to confirm.
8. reboot system , wait for new system.
Hi,
I just tried installing crDroid, since it seems well-maintained, includes signature patching support, and I want to switch to a microg installation. Unfortunately, I end up in a bootloop.
Here’s what I did:
* Boot TWRP 3.4.0-0
* Wipe: Cache, Dalvik, System, Data
* Sideload: fw_dipper_miui_MI8Global_V11.0.5.0.QEAMIXM_86e58a41cd_10.0.zip
* Sideload: crDroidAndroid-10.0-20200801-dipper-v6.8.zip
* Reboot into System
This leads to Mi logo ⇒ crDroid logo ⇒ No change for >5minutes. Upon observing adb logcat, I can see repeating patterns, although I’m not sure where exactly they start to loop, and where the loop ends ….
I deliberately did not flash any Magisk, MinMicroG-Installer or GApps as I wanted to get the bare rom to boot first.
I also tried a older crDroid, namely crDroidAndroid-10.0-20200326-dipper-v6.4.zip — this one boots just fine …
Did I do anything wrong? Before posting a big bad bunch of logcat, I’d love to know if I’m mistaken somewhere rather basic …
… Thanks for all the work you put into this ^_^
Best,
-NebuK
did you flash Dm verity.zip?
Great ROM
Also, battery is good and the user interface is liquid smooth. Regarding that matter THE best ROM out there.
But It's still buggy a little bit for me.
For example the dialer needs to be closed and reopened to properly display information about calls that are just made or just deleted. It doesn't refresh UI automatically.
.zip i attached bellow contains a .mp4 video that describes the dialer UI update problem i'm facing. Also, camera app crashes if you fiddle with its settings and needs the device reboot to be able to use it again.
Hope they fix these tiny problems.
I wiped system and caches, formatted data, flashed V11.0.5.0.QEAMIXM firmware, crDroid, OpenGapps and a disable forced encryption zip. My phone only boots to fastboot. Luckily, I can still boot into TWRP.
Does crDroid not like having encryption disabled, or have I done something else incorrectly?
EDIT: I tried again and it worked when I didn't flash DFE. The Mi8 doesn't like DFE?
Also, swiping down in recent apps doesn't clear the recent apps list, despite it being enabled in the home screen settings (long-press on the home screen-> settings-> miscellaneous).
Hi! Does not pass the Safetynet check. Will this be fixed?
Hey. Can't install version 7. After booting the system, the initial settings do not work. What am I doing wrong?
Smooth Android 11 ROM using Nikgapps.
Is there a way to use face unlock with the MI 8 infrared camera to unlock the phone in the dark? And also the battery bar (crDroid Settings, Status bar) can't be really used because of the device cutout(can't really see it), and it can't be moved.
Otherwise it's a great beta ROM.
Can anyone post MD5 sum of file final release crDroid version 6.12 named "crDroidAndroid-10.0-20201115-dipper-v6.12" please?
I have issues with downloading.
Thank you for your beautiful works!
The bluetooth can be connected to the speaker but there was no sound at all.
A perfect ROM on Android 11.
Thanks developer
NFC is nowhere to be found, not even in search bar, in quick settings it's greyed out so not available, only me?
The Rom is really good my only trouble is signal/reception is poor. Getting no signal in my house whereas normally I'd get minimal 2 or 3 bars.
UPDATE: flashing latest firmware fixed issue.

What is vendor_boot.image ? What does it do, is it a kernal? Or root?
If these are stupid questions I apologize. I just got back to rooting again. It's been a while since I was in deep and boy do I miss it and happy to have a phone that I can finally do whatever I want. Most my old devices were Samsung or htc so Google flashing roms is a little different.

Is there any news for this version that you propose ?
Because I'm a little fed up with the original version of google and other custom ROMs that don't change anything...

20220810
- ADB: Wireless debugging: turns off frequently
- ADB: Wireless debugging: No debuggable process in Android Studio (but other devices works OK); App Inspection & Profiler not working
- ADB: Enable USB debugging -> device restarts (kernel panic?)
In the Logcat I got something like this:
Code:
I/adbd (533): opening control endpoint /dev/usb-ffs/adb/ep0
E/adbd (533): failed to write USB strings: No such device
20220807
- UPDATE: OTA: not working 20220807->20220810: Could not change profiles (https://paste.crdroid.net/J4u9b6). Is it a problem with permissions or problems caused by Magisk's changes into the system?
- UPDATE: sideload update 20220807->20220810 infinity boot loop with Magisk (without Magisk no problem)
- GAPPS: Device is not certified by Google (to solve this problem just follow: https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/)
But this ROM is still awesome! Thank you so much.
I'm trying to fix the root and debug issues
This looks awesome. I'm waiting for the new display to arrive and I'm rocking this phone back. Would this rom enable VoWifi? Or does it need certain hardware for vowifi?
Will come a Version in near future, that has no issues with OTA functionality?
Last 2 updates did not work with OTA. In Telegram Group Deen Brasil was mentioned, that a server is needed to make twpr download possible, before update is installed, cause there is no recovery patition.
Is there not way to add a recovery pation?
Hi their I was wondering when flashing this rom are these steps required? Like the pixel ROM for the Deen:
1. Download Rom
2. Download TWRP
3. fastboot getvar all
4. fastboot boot twrp
5. Do full wipe
6. Format Data
7. Flash ROM
8. Reboot to Bootloader
9. fastboot getvar all
10. If fastboot getvar all (current-slot label) from step 3 equals this from step 9 change the slot to opposite, if a then b if b then a, command is fastboot --set-active=SLOT
11. Boot to TWRP again
13. Flash Magisk (optional)
14. Reboot to system

Maybe you have to run the command in Windows as an administrator. And the command is fastboot boot recovery c:/....img
I followed the steps I mentioned in my post #6 and the ROM works excellent.
How do you update with twrp? It gives me error no matter what slot I choose. CrDroid recovery or OTA doesn't work.
there is a problem, the microphone is recording very low audios, with this crdroid rom.
Hello,
Gapps link is broken. I tried NikGapps but it stuck my boot...
Could you please fix the link?
Thanks in advance!

I just installed the latest update 2022-12-19 but unfortunately I hear an echo when I'm in a phone call.
Also echo when calling with Signal or Telegram.
Am I the only one?

Solved by installing stock and from there installing lineage-18.1-20220523-UNOFFICIAL-deen.zip
Hi. I'm trying to build a user version of your rom. The build works but I get an error during update (sideload). This happens at the end, after the vendor is flashed and during `Running backuptool scripts`
Code:
Update_engine_sideload [ERROR: postinstall_runner_action.cc] Failed to set backuptool context
I wonder why this could be ? Perhaps I have not reconstructed your manifest correctly?
note: I'm flashing from Recovery using a USB UTG stick and also flashing from TWRP using the same stick..
I have been using the Motorola One with this rom as my main phone for the past day or two, so far ive been enjoying it! Im hoping for more updates in the future.
Good afternoon,
I wanted to share with you my experience trying to install rom 20230414 for the Moto one tx 1941-3.
Although I was able to install and use the previous version without problems, it was impossible for me with this latest version since it stuck to the android logo. It doesn't flash or reset, it just stays there.
I find this system incredible so I would love to use the update
Thank you
