Hi everyone, I am a new user of the forum and I hope to be in the right section. I don't speak English very well so forgive me if I'm making mistakes.
I installed Lineage OS 16 on my Samsung S4 Mini I9195 and so far everything is ok.
When I try to root with SuperSU V2.82, the installation is successful, but when I reboot the system and try to verify if the root was run with Root Checker, it tells me that root accesses are not installed on this phone.
I also enabled root from developer options but nothing to do.
Can anyone suggest me some solution? Thanks!

Don't install superSU. Your rom has a built in su. Just enable it in developer options.
Thanks for the reply. I have enabled the root in the developer options. Do I need to enable something else to activate the SU?

Then entered recovery mode to install SuperSU (latest version)
worked fine.

Hi there,
I'm actually in trouble : I rooted my g3 and installed cm 12.1, no problem about this. But when I try to launch an app which require root access, for instance lucky patcher, it says "no root access". Now here is the problem, I did activate root access in the developer's options so why isn't it working?
More over I tried to root again with one click rooters like kingroot, kingoroot or towel root, but they all failed. I installed superSU but it always says "update su binary" that make my phone reboot each time I try...
Does someone have a solution to my problem ?
Finally I'd like to specify that I'm French so I apologize if I did mistakes in my text ?

Are you sure of having put "apps and adb" in the root settings? If yes have you tried re-flashing the rom?

Try going on twrp, wipe dalvik cache and cache. Go to reboot and press system if twrp doesn't display a message saying your phone isn't rooted, do you want to root it? It means there is a problem with the ROM it self not finding root access
Tanks a lot guys it worked ! Just after entering the pin's password each application was asking to get root access !

The rom is rooted .. you need to enable it in SETTINGS ..
Go to Developer options. Scroll through to root and enable.

Do I need to Wipe everything "Dalvik/ART Cache, System, Cache, Data, Internal Storage" for best results or not?
After successfully flashing CM12.1 and playing around with it a little bit, I wanted to completely remove root (to get a few apps running). So I was advised to download SuperSU and use it to make a full/complete root removal. After that I de-installed SuperSU and disabled root in the Developer Options.
Well, that worked, I could run the apps that were unhappy with just root disabled in Developer Options. But now I want to have root back and I read in a couple of place that just flashing the latest SuperSU.zip from recovery might be a bad idea.
Any suggestions how to properly re-root my CM12.1 ?

Not sure what would be bad about it. If it's an issue with latest version, just use 2.46

Hello everyone! I installed recently Lineage OS 14.1 on my Zenfone 2 and I saw that there is root acces just for ADB.. so I googled the thing and I found out that I had to install the su binary.. so , I downloaded it , booted into recovery, flashed the zip( successfully), booted the system and went into settings and I saw that now I have access to root for apps to.. until here , everything was nice, but after that, I downloaded Root Checker to verify if the root is working and guess what? It wasn't.. I searched everywere, but no results..if somebody can help me, please reply.. Regards.
Have you tested it, by connected via ADB and do a "su" command? Same with a terminal emulator on your phone?
> just saw that I have access to it
You should choose that, man.

Have you tried running the command "adb root" first and then "adb shell" ?
Did you install the superuser x86 zip from LineageOS - https://download.lineageos.org/extras? I know you said you did, but make sure it's the x86 version. You'll also need to go back to root access and turn it on for apps and adb.

I have the same problem, I installed the superuser x86 zip from from link and enabled the apps and adb but the root checker still says that my device is not rooted.
Fixed superuser download.

I registered just to thank you!
In my case it wouldn't not only not work with the official LineageOS root method, it wouldn't accept any other method I tried.
The ones I tried (Magisk and SuperSU) got me stuck into recovery boot without being able to get back to the system and I had to do a clean flash to get it back working again.
Fortunately this solution worked and now I have my Zenfone 2 rooted. Thanks!
