Link on that page redirects to mmx a110 page. I don't think both devices are same

I think all mediatek based devices can use it.

Yes. Both are from sp tools version of stock rom.

There was a thread with all the download links, it's gone now unfortunately.
I was looking for the 9.6.12.0 fastboot image if any one has a link...

My phone was not going to EDL mode. I tried many methods but failed. With this recovery, used Terminal and 'reboot edl' ,entered EDL and I could use QFIL method.

You should be able to use the same technique as OxygenOS as long as Color OS uses a payload.bin file.
Extract the rom zip and check if there's a payload.bin file within, if there is then follow my guide here.

do you know how to patch vendor_boot.img?
Using the vendor boot patched by myself only leads to bootloop
