Converting T-Mobile firmware to International? - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

Anyone yet aware if the MSM tool for TMO OP7T is available yet?

It would be here, if it was.

We are working on a way to convert but without a means to go back to tmo firmware if need be. OnePlus isn't handing out the MSM for TMobile customers, even the techs give you the international MSM and when there is an error they tell you they have "look into it" or they tell you to send it in for repair, It's bull****.

For the same price you can buy the phone from 1+ directly and take TMO out of the equation. I am a TMO customer, but I have an AT&T line I need to look after as well. I wanted a dual SIM phone and I did not want to deal with any BS. So there is that...
Only reason I am even posting is so if someone is doing a search they might find this comment and save themselves some trouble. Phone works very well on both networks in case anyone cares. You will not be disappointed...

Had to scour the net for this. Hope this helps Asian Desire Z owners like me. Cheers!
That's an earlier version than the shipping ROM for those phones, isn't it ? The PC10IMG.zip file was posted here some weeks ago.

guess so, that's the newest version I have seen so far on the Internet.
But I did root, S-Off and flashed Overclock modules before doing a system backup.
don't know that if I dump my ROM , will it still be same as the original

No, because of the changes you've made to it.
Speaking of, I need the 1.34.707.5 RUU that came with my phone. This version is kinda sluggish. Slower than my desire. wish i didn't try to hack it without a ruu to fall back on.

Might be worth asking HTC for one ? I don't see why they shouldn't give it to you. No harm in trying, anyway.

Seriously? They give out RUUs? What do I tell them (not to arise suspicion) since the phone is on warranty.

I'm pretty sure that's where all the RUUs originate from. Maybe tell them your phone was acting kinda weird and you tried a "return to stock" but that wouldn't work, so you want to try flashing the ROM again to see if that helps rather than sending it back ?
You can open a support call via email on their website. You have to supply a serial number, so they probably won't ask too many questions and might even just give you an RUU.
Work asking, anyway ? Maybe someone else can think of a better story, that was just off the top of my head.
I'm ****ed. Of course I didnt tell them I flashed an older ruu rom.Their reply is:
Thank you for contacting HTC. With reference to your query, we are sorry to inform you that the ROM on your unit is up to date and currently there is no RUU. If you would like, we can call you back when the upgrade is officially released, or if you prefer to check yourself, you can go to http:// www.htc.com/. ok, well it was worth a try. Is there something specific in that ROM that means you couldn't use give the standard European ROM a try ? e.g. particular Asian languages that you need ?

I have got an idea. Tell them you are running a old version(you get this phone from your friend, and you didn't know where it's from), like 1.34.4xx.x
and ask for 1.34.708.5 or newer
see how they reply
edit: I have post HK 1.34.708.3, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860430
hope we can get 1.34.708.5 or newer
sorry i'm just curious if you're able to flash this over to the g2? trying to find a chinese UI for the g2

What problem are you having exactly ? I would use the method described in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=832503

Is HTC planning to issue RUU for the M8 or not !?

Hey Guys ,
I have been waiting for so long for the RUU . Anyone has an idea when is it going to be available ?
I just want be confident if i missed the phone up i could bring it back to default with a single file without the hassle of recoveries and flashing stock
nothing yet ?
HTC have never really officially released RUUs for their phones, they've leaked from service centres/HTC staff in the past. Some US carriers do release them but the unbranded ones are like rocking horse sh*t!
I have it for the US unlocked version but the forum doesn't let me post links.
Why not? Seems weird as this is the place to share

Just find a "Show us your home screen" or "Pics taken with your phone" type of thread. One of the reasons those are there is to provide ways to help newer members reach their 10 posts. Pretty sure you're still able to add pics as an attachment when <10 posts.
This works on CID BS_US001 unlocked version:

Looking for VS98626A KDZ

Hi, can anybody post a link to the VS98626A KDZ file? Thanks. I don't have a Verizon sim and I don't know any other way to upgrade without a KDZ file.
There doesn't seem to be one. I eventually just got my wife's Verizon SIM card and used that one to update. Your best bet may be to borrow a Verizon SIM card from a friend and update.
Thx for the reply man. I ll try to see if i can get my hands on a working verizon sim. Verizon sim with no service wont work right?
I tried to use lg bridge and fiddler approach but lg bridge wont even recognize my device.

I need to install a different firmware to my LG G4 VS986

Well, what i need really is: install the LG G4 H815 firmware to my LG G4 VS986...
Is there some way to do it?
I want to do it because i need to install the fix that LG gives to solve the BootLoop problem but there is no fix file to te VS986 version...
If someone knows what can i do for fix my VS986 tell me please, i'll be in love with any help!
Contact LG USA and tell them you want it fixed. Doesn't matter if it's out of warranty - they will still do it. Call them for directions on how.

I'm still interesting to know if there es some way to do what i want, if there is some method to instal the H815 firmware to my VS986, i can fix it.
Thanks man!
Please hit the thumbs-up up thanks button to thank helpful posters.
I've never seen anyone install non-VS986 firmware - doubt that can fix your hardware problem which will continue to get worse. Sooner you contact LG, sooner you have a fixed phone .

I've tried to contact them bro!
The only thing i need to fix it (i guess) is to install a fixable rom, which can be (H815, H818, H812, H819)
There is no fix available for the VS986 version so far, but they're tot files that can solve the BootLoop issue for those versions that i told before.
And i'm sorry if i get wrong writing something jeje, i learned English from a book, is hard to try to explain when you know just the basic
For the bootloop issue you have not much choices on locked devices that's correct. The choices you have are all listed in my bootloop fix it list (see my signature)
Yes there is a way to convert your device but it's risky and may not be reversible. If you want to do go to the unofficial unlock g4 thread (see my signature) and check the support topic to go into IRC.

Man i just wanna fix my phone i don't care what i have to do, jaja
I don't really care if i can't go back to my device version, if i can fix the problem, hehe
As you know, there isn't a fix for the VS986 version, but there are for a couple of versions, such as H815, H812, H818 and others.
So, i guess that if i install a stock version of one of those devises on mine, i can install a fix too, right?

After converting you could install a temporary fix yes. But keep in mind that those are not fixing the problem just given more life (this can be hours or months).
Converting cannot guarantee a working cell service though so there is a risk with this.

Can LM-G710ULM be rooted?

Hello guys
I´ve been looking for a way to do it, and I have only found things about the European version and older posts saying it could be done, so I´m not sure if it even possible as for today
Can somebody explain me if the process can be done?
Thanks a lot
I've realized before LG stopped supporting the V30, the damnned LG G6 US997 USA unlocked could be the last G-Series to enjoy unlocked bootloader & root, I don't know why the European variants getting bootloader as soon as the newer flagships are launched! Before buying the almost useless G710ULM, Last year the European G710EUM is costlier than the ULM. Since I was on a budget, I could afford the ULM "sigh"! Even the latest European LG V50 & the LG G8 is bootloader unlocked!

Yes, it can be unlocked and rooted. As far as I know, the instructions have not made their way to XDA, and XDA doesn't allow linking to the Telegram group where they're posted. Just Google for a Telegram group for the LG G7 ThinQ and look for the instructions posted there.
Unlocking isn't without some risk, though, since it involves temporarily overwriting the bootloader with another one, but it reportedly works.
So I dug up the instructions and the associated files this morning, but before I pull the trigger on this: will LineageOS builds work after the bootloader is unlocked? Obviously they're tagged for the EU model in the other thread, but I figured I'd check and see if someone tried this already.
