Not sure if you found a solution yet.
But it may have to do with wifi calling settings.

Btw i have the same model 9750, but have never seen this issue...

Now that it is mentioned here, when I turn the airplane mode on in quick tiles, I am not able to turn it off the same way, I need to go to settings, connection, to do it, as I rarely need that mode, it doesn't bother me, but it is odd nevertheless

I tried several methods without result. The phone detects the sim card but does not want to leave the airplane mode. it's really strange...
I do not know what to do

Where do you bought the phone maybe the phone was opened and repaired before. If so certanly if its charging port board changed from different wariant (region) of Note 10 + and that is 100 % cause of the problem. The image here is for the correct model of charging board.

Flightmode PIN

Hi.
When i turn off the flight mode the One X asks for my Sim PIN.
My Samsung Galaxy S never did this, at least i can't remember. Ok, I can barely remember the Stock Rom
Is there an option to change that behaviour?
I hope someone can help me,

I am too coming from the Galaxy S. I used "Ring Scheduler" to switch to airplane mode during nights and to automatically switch it off in the morning.
The Galaxy S never asked for PIN but the HTC One X does, so automatcally switching airplone mode off does not work for me anymore since user action is required.
So far i have not found an option to change this behaviour.
I realy hope someone can help.
thanks.
this has always been the case with htc. i also have a galaxy tab and it never asks when switching to flight mode.
i use an excellent app called auto flight mode as i work on the tube and i now have to disable to pin on my phones when i get htc as the phone is always switching on flightmode being underground.
it would be really nice to get this finally addressed though.
Same thing with Motorola smartphones, such as Milestone 1 or 2.
No big deal to me, I'm used to it.

Nop, has been like this for a long time (at least at HTC). Simply because HTC stops connecting to your sim-card while on flightmode. Once you want to connect again you have to use your pincode.
Hi. I actually have a different problem. My phone does not ask for PIN, thus does not re-connect after comming out of flight mode. So I must reboot and sometimes more times, since the settings are showing flight mode OFF, but the power off menu shows it on and other entertaining effects.
Any ideas? I am on the last OTA 1.29 something.
thank you

Disable Sim PIN lock? It would never ask again for it.

[Q] Radio dead - no connection

Hey folks,
Something strange happened to my HTC One X. Everything has been working as expected. As I was getting on a plane, I put my phone in flight mode. Right up to the point where I put it in flight mode, it was working fine - calls, data, everything. When I got to the other side and took off flight mode, it showed NO SERVICE. It will no longer connect to any network. I've tried several SIMs with no luck. I'm running CM 10.2 nightly builds, but I've reinstalled several different ROMs with no luck. Is my radio broken? Admittedly, I have been installing different radios, but I can't see how that could be the problem. It had been days since I installed a new radio, and it was working fine up to this flight.
If I use a tool like Test Your Android and view the SIM card information, it shows the correct SIM country, Operator Code, but no phone number. If I got to Settings, the IMEI shows normally as does the baseband. It just refuses to connect. Any ideas?
A month ago, somewhere in Vietnam, i put my phone in airplane mode while inside the plane. on landing i tried to turn the airplane mode off but it stuck in "turning off" and no network i was using a Vietnamese sim-card, so i took it off and i put back my tmobile one sim but that didn't help. i got stressed and i kept changing sims, turning the phone on and off, pressing the airplane mode button while sim tray was in or out , was trying every possible combination that i could think. after 30 minutes it found a network somehow and it came out of the airplane mode that was stuck. i couldn't believe it. Tho dunno what really fixed it but keep trying...
Interesting, thanks for sharing that. I have the feeling that if I were to go back to Spain, it would connect to Movistar again. But the question is, what do I do for the next two weeks.... =/
I will keep trying for sure.

I just noticed something else. My battery is being drained constantly by Phone. As long as the device is powered on, Phone is using the battery. It's like the radio is stuck in call mode. wtf???

I eventually figured out my problem. Bad SIMs all the way. My SIM went bad, and the other two I tested with happened to both have gone bad. Finally got a good SIM and everything was back to normal.

BTW - I didn't find this out until after I ordered and received a brand new phone, after assuming my radio was completely broken. I tried all three SIMs in the new phone and none of them worked. You can imagine how pissed off I was. Thankfully - magically - the new phone had a broken vibration mechanism, so I was able to get a full refund, and I'm once again happy with my HOX. Also took the opportunity to flash a clean CM 10.1.3 for a fresh start. Super happy phone.

[Q] Shutdown issue (but not the overnight one!)

Hi,
I've been reading the other shutdown issue with interest from the start but I think that my particular issue is different and I'd like to know whether anyone else has my exact problem.
I'm using the o2 UK 16GB version 10A/234 and this is the problem:
When I reboot the phone and it gets to the lockscreen, if the network status is "disabled" on the lockscreen and I swipe to open, the phone shutsdown and can't be started again until I remove the battery.
If I wait for a couple of seconds when the lockscreen comes up, there is a little lag but the phone works as normal.
I can replicate this issue over and over again, so it is not a random occurrence AND this is the second handset that I have had where this exact problem is present.
Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm facing the same issue. Is your device rooted?
At first every (re)boot without being connected via usb to a charger or a computer would result in a shutdown shortly after I enter my pin. After a day of usage I cannot reproduce it anymore, although it still happens from time to time, for example yesterday when I tried to send a text while having very bad to no reception. When it happens I also have to remove the battery or hook it up to a charger, otherwise the buttons/screen would not respond..
I'm thinking there is a (firmware) problem with the chipset since it always happens when my phone is trying/strugling to connect to the mobile network. I installed an app which constantly writes logs to my sd, hopefully that will give me more information about what's causing the problem..
Are you also having bad reception when the device shuts down? My previous device (iPhone 5s) had normal reception in my house, incl. a stable 3G connection, always 2-3 bars of 5. The LG G3 is constantly strugling with the connection to the network and often switches to "emergency calls only"..

This happens rooted non-rooted, stock (no added apps) and always whilst connecting to phone network. Are you on same variant as me and if you leave it for a moment before putting in your pin does it then work ok?. I'm trying to get o2 to change my handset for another model (m8) but they just want to fix my one.

Yes I'm on the same variant. Still running the 10A firmware.
Sometimes it works, but I will do some more test this evening after work and see if I can reproduce it every time and hopefully get some usable logging too.
I think this is fixed in the 10f firmware update that I installed yesterday. I haven't had a shutdown since :victory:

Power Button Lag/Delay?

Every time I press the button to turn the screen on it lags and I have to wait a second or two to turn the display on, any ideas on how to fix it or is it a software thing?
It's really frustrating me, I hope something gets sorted!!
Sorry to hear this. My power button is lightning quick. You might have a defect on your hands there..
It's that bad, sometimes it's quicker to double tap the screen then use the fingerprint sensor to unlock!
Pretty sure it has something to do with the update. Happened on the LG V20 as well
Same Issue
has anyone found a resolution to this? I got my device last week and it has been doing it ever sinse and driving me crazy!. Is it a hardware issue or is it fixed in software? waiting out for the oreo update hoping it will fix it but any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Have you tried rebooting your phone to safe mode to ensure that no app is interfering?
I have experienced that issue only when I enabled the full immersive mode using ADB.
I have tried safe mode, yes, and the same issue persists, it's not every time the device is unlocked, it's only when it's left for around 2 minutes (it's almost like a deep sleep or something) and what's ADB mode?

ADB or Android Debug Bridge is a command line tool that lets you run commands on your phone from a computer, for installing/unistalling apps, tweaking hidden system settings, etc...
I used it to enable the full immersive mode (basically to hide status and navigation bars). Once I did it, my phone started to behave exactly like you described.
Was your phone having that issue since the first day?
Yes it has been doing it since new

Have you tried updating to Oreo? The only other solution I can think of is a factory reset

Airplane mode light blue on S20 Ultra After update

Hi fellas,
My phone recently updated and after the official update was installed, the phone is just stuck in Airplane mode. When I remove the SIM card, it turns responsive and the flight mode can be turned off and on. However, as soon as I insert the SIM, the plane icon just turns light blue and I get no network connection. It has been like this now for two days.
The camera is also causing problems as the phone crashes whenever I open the camera. It was working perfectly but started messing up after the update. My phone model is S20 Ultra SM-G988W.
Thanks
The same problem with airplane mode after updating to Android 11. It says Radio Off, i think there is a problem with modem. IMEI are ok. I think i need to try downgrading to Android 10. Anyone else had that problem? Mine version is 9880, HK.
