Well, I've just given it a go anyway! They said they'll let me know in email whether I'm accepted (clicked 'no' to unlocking my phone! So, we'll see). Worth a try...

They know by your IMEI. It's in the system as unlocked.

Guys can you suggest any other method to unlock the bootloader of lenovo p2 because as you must have seen most people like me cannot turn on oem unlocking in developer settings as it shows lenovo id without permission error. Please suggest.

Nah bro, If they really cared for our privacy data, they would have provide monthly security patches, or a proper software update. The latest version of the software they provided is so buggy, but neither would they fix it nor would they let us fix it ourselves. ?

Bdw XDA posted a article regardin this P2 problem. You saw that? Some agent replied in the Lenovo forum that they will try to solve this problem. Well its been more than 10days..but maybe, maybe it'll see the light of the day.

Sad how difficult xiaomi makes it to unlock the bootloader, even though the arb bricked a lot of devices. And even more sad how people trying to make a profit from that. That alone should be a reason for xiaomi to make it easier.

What does unlocking bootloader has to do with ARB? Not like you can fix arb with unlocked bootloader.. More like unlocked bootloader gives users who cant even read & research before flashing an easier way to brick. If you dont unlock bootloader, and just use xiaomi provided official updates you cant brick it..

Okay, I didn't know the exact details, my point was that I find it sad that people are trying to make a profit of something xiaomi could easily fix.
I'm on arb 3 anyways and I'm still waiting for my unlock.
Hi everyone, any suggestions on how I can get the new Android 10 update? I have the Note 10+ Sprint version but I'm guessing its flashed with the T-Mobile Rom as that is what I see on the slpash screen when I power up the phone. What are my options? Thanks in advance..
I think you have two options, either you wait for the oficial update is released for your device, or you download and install one from sammobile/frija via Odin.
Roll out will take a couple of weeks or so.

Yup, sammobile has not the firmware yet. Try with frija, it's supposed to connect directly with samsung servers.
Why don't you give it a try, hope you succeed.

Well, I just searched out of curiosity and turns out Frija does have the android 10 version for unlocked (N975U1/XAA), when I check via software update app on the phone, it tells me I'm on the latest software.
EDIT: I messed up the model, the attachment is showing the info for S10+ instead of Note10+, please just ignore it.
I'm curious, please let me know if you decide to update and if so, how it turns out for you.

You don't have to use magisk unless you want to have root, you can always just leave the phone unrooted unless you want some mod install and some app that needs root privilege. But it's not a necessity to root.

Also this is H2OS which is meant for the Chinese market so some things might not be there for the global market, for me it works fine since I don't live in the USA I live in Central America, it's also a beta build and the first one, so I would suggest that if you can't wait flash it if you desire to try it out of not just wait for the OOs beta that will most likely come soon. For me everything seems to work but there are some small bugs and some features are not present. Like AOD is not available, bubble chats for Telegram is not working only for fb messenger. Canvas is working just fine and so far o haven been able to see horizon lights work even tho the option is there (finally got it to work but still a bit buggy). So flash and try it out of you wish or wait for the OOs beta.

I would like to root it with magisk boot img patch method but in order to do that I have to unlock the bootloader but I can't do that because the phone does not have an unlock status in developer mode which is needed to unlock the bootloader.
If there's someone here who has managed to root the phone or even just unlocked the bootloader, I would appreciate it if you could guide us to how its done.
