TSB app not working in the beta - Honor View 20 Questions & Answers

anyone else have this problem?

Are you referring to the banking app? It's possible apps that handle sensitive information (such as banking apps) are intentionally designed not to run on beta firmwares as a security precaution.

Open The play store, click on "settings" scroll down to "Play Protect certification" and let me know what it says it should say "Device is certified"

Google Wallet

Where can I get Google Wallet for my rooted Galaxy Nexus for Verizon?
I do not have any custom mods. It's stock firmware with root.

or you can browse the play store with your phone's browser for it, and then click install, but select the play store app when it asks you what to open the link with.
What do you mean by "select play store app". Is all this being done on Android's browser or PC browser?

android's browser.
Just tried and Google Wallet doesn't appear in the listing
I tested with Google Chrome and Stock browser
Can you link me to the latest APK and I'll download it and install it?
I also just spoke to VZW customer service. They said that they do not block any apps and that Google is blocking the apps because it is incompatible with the handset. WTF??! I've been using the old Google Wallet for 6 months and no problem. I just want the latest one so I can use a real credit card.
I have Google Wallet pre-installed, but I do not see my debit card that is on file (can see it on the Wallet website). It will only let me at a Citi credit card in the app...how do I use my own bank's debit cards with this when I want to make purchases?

You need the updated app. I think it's version 1.5
The old version doesn't have options for other cards

Ok great, that worked! Updated to the latest 1.5 release. Now how do I pay? Do I have to open the Wallet app every-time I put my phone near the PayExpress logo at a retailer? Is there any confirmation or will it just charge me?

Thanks! I've got NFC enabled, and Beam off. I'll go buy some produce tonight and see if it works.
Update: Still have not been able to use this... I cannot find anywhere that uses the NFC technology for checkout. Kind useless
Any recommendations on stores?

Download the PayPass Locator app. It will show you nearby places with paypass.
Places in my area that I have found having the paypass terminals are: McDonalds, BP gas stations, CVS, Wallgreen's
Ha, by developer "Mastercard". Well MasterCard is going to help me find places to use Visa debit card.
Thanks for the tip!

What do you mean? Just use google play to install apps. Amazon doesn't do a great job allowing you to pick which apps are defaults.

i use google play, but in other apps when i click install it says "continue to amazon appstore? this app is trying to open a link with an external market that is not available on your device. would you like to open this link with the amazon appstore instead?" and i can't choose google play
Very simple my friend, all you have to do is disable the amazon app store and links will open in the play store.
Not working

Sorry, but I've tried the above solution. I have allow sources other than Amazon turned on and open external links with appstore off. When I do this, it gives me the error message, "External Market Links Disabled- You can choose to open external market links with the Amazon Appstore. Update this option in the External Market links section of the Appstore settings"- followed by OK.
Under external market links options
Open with Amazon store- blocks the external link
Don't open with Appstore - gives the above error
Ask before opening - gives message, "This app is trying to open a link with an external market that is not available on your device. Would you like to open this link with the Amazon Appstore instead?"
Any ideas?
I've got "don't open with appstore checked" and links now open to Google play in my browser but I use a Firefox extension to then open in the native Google app if I need to.
How did you set this up?

Can you share all your settings and how you set up firefox?
Thanks,
I did as in post above. I switched to don't open with appstore. Then, with Firefox installed from play store, I click on an external link and I chose to open in Firefox. If you've got the 'open in native app' extension installed in Firefox you can click it's menu and be directed to the link in the actual play store app.
Any solution found here?
I am facing the same issue as the OP. Although, on my Fire Phone I don't seem to have any setting options related to external markets. I am thinking perhaps the update to 4.6.1 has eliminated such options.
Did any of the people participating in this discussion (those trying to resolve this issue on their phone) come to a valid solution?

I answered the question in your other post.

Is there any way to Redirect or open APP Links only on Google Play Store?

Hi all,
I am using my two Fire Phones with the latest FireOS 4.6.1, and I must say that all works now much better, faster and smooth!!!
However I have some problems with some APPs that needs redirect to the Google Play Store...
When I was using my Fire Phone with FireOS 3.6.8, all APPs like AppGratis AppsZoom, Always opened a litle floating window, and always gave me the option to select between "Google-Play-Store" and "Amazon APP Store"...
But now after the FireOS 4.6.1, I only have the option to select, on the floating window, only the Amazon APP Store.
The Problem is that some APP offerts are only available from the Official Google Play Store and not from the Amazon APP Store!
So, I would like to know if there is any way to Redirect or open APP Links only on Google Play Store?
Thanks in advance for help!

I don't have that problem. My Amazon App store is not disabled and when I click on a playstore link it gives me two options: open with playstore or silk browser.
My system is very basic: 4.6.1, 4 google apps installed, and disabled the following: Amazon device client platform, DCP platform contracts, and two apps called System Updates.
Try and see if that works for you.

Those, together with the system update apps, and a few other binaries, download updates and patches. I didn't want Amazon to use this mechanism to patch my root method. I disabled only these four because with more apps disabled the map or some other Amazon app will stop working.
If you decide to do it I don't recommend using Titanium. Just go to settings, then applications, and use the disable button there to do so.
This can be done by going into settings, applications, Amazon apps, appstore and choosing don't open links in appstore.
Can you offer the steps?

I've tried this and external markets still don't work within Google Play apps- tried an office app and an assistant app- both will not install key components after initial install because "External Market Links Disabled" and "You can choose to open external links with the Amazon Appstore. Update the option in the External Markets Links section of the Appstore Settings."

You should be ablessing to do it in settings but if you can't then root is your friend:

Thanks ratbags for your reply and information, however as khaan13 already has mentioned, I have found that this method does not work at all...
That is why I was asking of some kind of APP, that could perform this function automatically!
Maybe I'm asking too much, or perhaps we will need to ROOT the Fire Phone, but although we don't know it yet, have to be available some APPs that will help, redirecting the links only to the Google Store Play?
Curiously this was working flawlessly with the previous FireOS 3.68, but it stopped working with the newest v4.61...

khaan13, please tell me the names of the apps or PM me...
edit: I re-installed the US version of FireOS today and didn't use root, so that it's as vanilla as possible.
Installed Google Services Framework, Google Play Services, Google Account Manager & Google Play Store.
@ ulises.rodriguez It seems like the Amazon Appstore overrides all other external market services. That's why you can only choose CANCEL or CONTINUE when the "Continue to Amazon Appstore?" question pops up.
I know, having both Stores active at the same time would be more comfortable but you have to deactivate the Amazon Appstore when you want to use external market links, e. g. for AppGratis offers.
AFAIK, there's no "market switcher" that could help you solve this issue, so for now: stick with en-/disabling it manually.
MAYBE, you guys should compare the version numbers of Amazon Appstore, Google Play Services & Play Store, ask najoor what he's using and see if it makes a difference.
Mine: Play Services 7.5.73 (1976294-036), Play Store 5.6.8, Amazon Appstore release version, no update. (Device remains unrooted during testing)
edit: I now disabled all apps through "manage applications", all but the Amazon Appstore. Still the same behavior: Appstore intercepts all external market links. It shows no option to choose between Play Store and Appstore.

Thank you for your reply and your offer to assist. I have a brand new fire phone, upgraded to the latest OS. I side loaded Google Play using the common technique you mentioned above. I did this first before the upgrade to the latest OS (3.6 something OS), but the Google Play store was would not run. Tried reinstalling GP a couple of times. Read somewhere that someone had luck after an Upgrade to the latest OS. That worked for me. I am able to get some apps to work flawlessly- I had a Google Play version of Injustice - and it works great. SpeaktoIt Assistant - won't finish the install because of Amazon. But some Google Play apps that want to add additional functions or upgrade will try to open Amazon store instead of Google Play. I've also had problems with OfficeSuite 8 Pro.
Thanks again...
My versions:
Fire OS 4.6.1 (461013820)
Google Play Store 5.6.8
Any ideas?
Google Play Games 3.0.11
Google Play Services 7.5.71
Google Services Framework 4.04-3386891
@ khaan13 I tried "Assistant" & "OfficeSuite 8 Pro", both install and work without problems, as long as the Amazon Appstore is deactivated. No surprise at this point, really. :/
@ ulises & khaan "Market Switcher": I tried a workaround on a rooted device:
Installed "Titanium Backup (Pro)" and created a new widget ➜ "Titanium Backup (Actions)" ➜ "Freeze / Defrost / Launch an app" ➜ "select the app" Appstore (version blabla...) ➜ "Create the widget".
Now I have a little button widget that controls the Amazon Appstore. At least it's practical and I don't have to navigate through several menus to de-/activate the Appstore.

I will let you know if works on my Fire Phone...
Another question
When you say deactivate the amazon store, which process do you mean?
1) Settings - Applications / Parent Controls - Configure Amazon Application Settings - Appstore - In-App purchases (disabled) and External markets (do not ask)
OR
2) Settings Applications / Parent Controls - Manage Applications - Appstore - Disable
If I choose "Disable" it warns me that data will be erased and then asks if I want to "cancel" or replace the app with the factory version".
What do I do here if this is what I am supposed to do?
Thanks
khaan13

[Q] How to prevent Firephone to go to app store and go to google

When in my launcher (lightning) if I get " item is not installed .search Google play, or pick an other app if I click on play store I got "continue to Amazon appstore? This app is trying to open a link with an external market that is not available bla bla.."
is there a Xposed module to prevent this behavior and go direct to Google play? without his warning poping up and preventing to go to Google play

I think that is the same redirection problem that I am also having, because when I was using my Fire Phone with FireOS 3.6.8, all APPs like AppGratis AppsZoom, Always opened a litle floating window, and always gave me the option to select between "Google-Play-Store" and "Amazon APP Store"... But now after the FireOS 4.6.1, I only have the option to select, on the floating window, only the Amazon APP Store.
I hope that there is an APP that could redirect and enable to select and open other APP Stores, not only the Amazon APP Store..
I already post a question in the forum about the same problem, but never got any reply:

This is being discussed in another thread that @ulises.rodriguez mentioned. So have a look there.
And also since this is a question it should be moved to the Q&A forum so if you don't mind I will ask a moderator to move it there. Your chances of getting an answer is better there anyway.
