Hi guys,
I am currently selling my Lumia 920 with Windows 10 Mobile installed thanks to a guide somewhere on xda. I have a buyer but he insist on having Whatsapp on the phone. On my Microsoft account I installed the app on the Windows Store without any problem. After restoring the phone, when he puts his account, he can't install the app because it says the device is not supported... I guess it is because the app was on my download history but not in his.
I tried to install the file via the XAP file but it doesn't work (I guess because it comes from the store and it is protected somehow). Is there a solution for this issue ?
Thanks !
Wait.

Hey guy's, I brought a new HTC 8s on our independence day replacing my explorer. It is too good to see but many issues in it (possibly will be fixed in next updates). The only thing I want on it that to use the non-store apps. I have tried but the downloaded files are showing unsupported error message. As windows support .xap files (as .apk in android as we know), so I don't think it will create any issue by using non-store apps.
please suggest........

Hello, I don't know but I think that Windows Phone is the same of iOS ecosystem: you can download Apps only from Windows Phone Store.
Even though you can manually download xap file, store it on Sd-Card, the installation procedure will look to the Windows Phone Store to verify it. No way to install application without the Store.
Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk HD
but no developer is interested to create apps or games as compared to Android

Thanks for information.
You need verify the Application by Windows Phone Store. The same of iOS Applications' Market.
Good.
Bye! :good:
First of all, if you performed factory reset due to upgrading issue you will lost Here Drive+ and Maps. Windows 10 Mobile system can't install it form Store after recovering and even if you sign up for backup during the initial process.

Make your phone Interop unlocked first, Xda's 2-click easy way to do this - http://bit.ly/1V4NnCG
Little helper in Polish - http://bit.ly/1J7fGV4
Below you will find attached latest version of Here Drive and Here Maps to deploy after Interop unlock. Enjoy!
(Unzip both files first)
Thnx! I missed Here Drive
Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
Misc HERE app packages; repacked and retail.
The packages with "retail" in file name are probably the ones you want.
The retail method does not require Interop unlock.
1. Download retail package(s) to phone.
2. Put phone in developer mode (settings -> for developers)
3. Tap the file in File Explorer app on phone, and confirm install
4. Once installed. check for updates in the Store.
Retail packages are also available on onedrive: http://1drv.ms/1Oix4sO
Remove .zip extension if downloading from the forum.
Do you have here commute?

Are these apps in any way hacked? Because I tried the same way with Lumia Camera 4.9.4.1 downloaded from Microsoft's server and it does't work. I get "End of Central Directory record could not be found"

Can´t save maps to SD card on new Win 10 Mobile build 10549 ... any solutions...?
Here's the solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/win...xap-wptweaker-registry-tweaker-wp8-1-t3147272
Bur first you need to interop unlock your phone.
Not working on 10549
Root Tool isn't deploying in build 576 (?) latest, or at least not on my Lumia 920.
A dialogue briefly appeared on which i saw an "install" button but it closed before I could use it. No new app in app list. Why suggestions?

it is possible but you still have to use one whatsapp app you can do this only on interop unlocked devices
try the following steps
1.) once you have installed app data manager App (you can find it in the windows 10 mobile thread) link given
2.) make a account on whatapp (the first account)
3.) go to app data manage tool and backup the state name it account 1
4.) reset the app
5.) now again make the second account
6.) again backup the state name it account 2
7.) once you used one account and want to use another account you need to restore
backup named account 2 or 1
yes it is complicated a little bit once you get use to it you can run more than five accounts of whatsapp from one app on your windows phone
first you have to install https://forum.xda-developers.com/wi...s-and-games/app-app-data-manage-tool-t3443623
Dear All,
had to completely re-install my Lumia 950DS and lost some apps that are no longer in the store. Those apps are still installed on the device of my wife. Can somebody pls. advise me being a beginner on where to start reading/learning in this forum or somewhere else on how to extract an installed app from a WPinternals backup image and then use this app for re-installation on another device. My wife's Lumia also needs to be re-installed and I would create a WPinternals backup image before doing so. I already learned to use WPinternals 2.92 as part of the re-installation of my device allthough I am still struggling with it. It seems to not properly re-lock my 950 DS. I will open a bug for it separately on github.

Are you able to sideload the app?
You can download it directly from the WhatsApp site.
However, if it needs Google Play Services to work correctly, then you're probably out of luck, unless you have a custom recovery and can flash a GApps package.
AFAIK this should work:
- Create a local backup in Whatsapp
- Copy the WhatApp folder from your old phone to your new phone using a computer
- Install WhatsApp on your new phone and restore the backup

I tried this method, its described on whatsapp help page:
Restore from a local backup
If you want to use a local backup, you'll need to transfer the files to the phone using a computer, file explorer or SD Card.
To restore your backup:
Download a file manager app.
In the file manager app, navigate to your local storage or sdcard > WhatsApp > Databases. If your data isn't stored on an SD card, you might see "internal storage" or "main storage" instead. Copy the most recent backup file to the local storage's Databases folder of your new device.
Install and open WhatsApp, then verify your number.
Tap RESTORE when prompted to restore your chats and media from the local backup.
-----
But it doesn`t prompt me to restore from local backup, just google account.
That's strange. I remember I used it some years ago when Google Backup was not yet available.
Last time I installed WhatsApp I first copied the directory Internal Storage/Android/media/com.whatsapp to the new phone using MiXplorer. Then during installation everything was restored, with the exception of the messages of the current day. These I lost.

P40 is still Android 10 I guess so maybe in /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/
Its Android 11.
HEY. So I've found a good solution for this. On your huawei phone without google services, install GSPACE
. After that clone your whatsapp in gspace, open Whatsapp in gspace, then login there with your number. Local backup will be reckognized, accept it. Then go to your backup options in settings in the gspace whatsapp and backup to google drive. Then login on your new phone and use backup from google drive. I couldn't find that tutorial anywhere but it worked for me

there´s a more complex way
1- If you have access to huawei phone with GSM services ( P30 Pro or another one) you can use the phone clone app to copy whatsapp from your P40 pro to these device
2- After this you have to do a backup with google drive
3- From the huawei phone with GSM services you can copy the whatsapp folder to the new S22 and restore everything with any loose
