Has anyone had an issue with outgoing audio working during calls using Android Auto? I have disconnected and re-paired my device, cleared my android auto cache and storage without any improvement.
I am wondering if it could have anything to do with having the Verizon version that can only use VoLTE?

I have an unrooted 4.2.1 Galaxy Nexus, and the only way I can keep the Bluetooth connection to my car active is to have 'Media Audio' enabled in the settings for it. I know that there is Bluetooth issues, and know issues where the phone connects and disconnects constantly. However, what that means is when I use Google Navigation, any voice guidance is sent through the Bluetooth connection, so unless my stereo is on the BT Audio connection, I get no sound. This was why I had Media Audio enabled.
Anyone know of a workaround for this so I can get voice guidance working again through the phone speakers, or even a method by which the Bluetooth will remain connected without hat setting enabled?
Also add, same as many others, only became a problem with 4.2 and following.
Barely connected via Bluetooth, WhatsApp (or Soma) disconnect immediately.
No problem with normal phone call, or Hangouts. It works perfectly.
(WhatSapp via Bluetooth works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge)
Connectivity problems occurred after the last WhatSapp update (08-15-2016)
Does anyone encounter the same connection Bluetooth problems in the car?
I already cleaned data & cache…it does help, WhatsApp & Soma do not work anymore with Bluetooth
My devise isn’t rooted
Thanks for your help.
Since a couple of weeks my phone does not play audio through any carkit I tried. The Bluetooth settings had the play media audio checked on, but not the play telephone audio option. When I want to choose that option I simply can't. It is immediately unchecked again.
Tried reset cache, new pairing, unknown carkit, change phonename, factory reset, several Bluetooth managers but I am out of options. Does somebody else have?

i've got this too. i recently updated a whole bunch of google stuff and i can't check the 'phone audio checkbox' in android 6.0 in multiple bluetooth devices--car, speaker, and hands-free kit. i'm pretty sure it was caused by a google update of some kind. i miss my windows phone so much right now.
ok, i just uninstalled android pay and the bluetooth phone audio works. i need to test it more to see if that was the issue.
I have an MTCD PX5 unit using SVA ROM Android 6 and I have been using it with my Phone for calling over Bluetooth. I am also using WiFi HotSpot on the phone to share the Internet Connection.
After the phone has been updated to 8.1 (it's a Nokia 6) Bluetooth only works well (not perfectly) if the HotSpot function is disabled. When enabled, the bluetooth connection is lost after I make the first call (which fails actually, the sound moves back and forth between the unit and the phone).
Does anyone else use a phone updated to 8.1?
Thanks.
Hi,
I have built-in recorder working (except for WiFi calls) - it records loud and clear myself, the other side, with and without bluetooth, but it lacks any advanced functionality (cloud upload, exclusion lists, etc).
NLL ACR Pro (v34 unchained) works, but only without bluetooth.
Tried several other apps - they all either do not work at all, or work only without bluetooth (like ACR).
Is there any app able to record calls via bluetooth headset ?
Anyone with positive experience ?
No. There is nobody without root who'll have a positive experience until Google decides to allow it.
