I'd like to purchase this device for a friend birthday and I found a great offer with my carrier. Luckily he has the same so it doesn't bother but just in case I'd like to know if any ROM or flash workaround work to unlock this device all carrier ?
I'm gonna buy it in Ireland, with Eir mobile carrier.

Unfortunately, no free way to do it yet.
Currently you'll have to go through http://www.imei-check.co.uk. It's about $38 USD, I believe.

if you are a t mobile customer then since its a t mobile wing why dont you just call t mobile and get it unlocked....?
beacause i got it from ebay, and not from t-mobile store,
and i would prefer to unlock it now and no after 90 days, i will travel in europe in 20days
well it dosnt have to be in 90 days... from t moble you can get one unlocked code every 90 days... its not that you must have the device for 90 days.... so if you have been a t mobile customer for a while and havnt gotten a unlock code then you are fine

Please let me know. I seems the fact that it's a Dutch one makes it difficult?

- Can this Phone be Rooted?
- Can you run another UI than the Vodafone one (i.e. Launcher Pro, Sense, etc.)?
- Alternative ROM already (Think not)?
I think this might be a super phone (for just 99,- euro's in NL: Wifi, GPS, camera, HSPDA, FM Radio, etc) if it can be tweaked, hacked, rooted and so on. With HTC sense as UI it will be a big hit , but the Launcher Pro beta (free) will do just fine instead of Vodafone UI.

I thought the phone was ready unlocked? put my mate's Orange simcard into my UK Vodafone 845 and it accepted it with full signal and everything....
