ARCore - Redmi Note 8 Pro Questions & Answers
Hi,
I need ARCore for a specific App (Lego Hidden Side).
The Redmi Note 7 Pro supported ARCore
(developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices),
however, the Note 8 Pro does not, why is that so?
Is this a software issue, and support may come later?

Note 7 pro got official support only after about half a year. Probably we will have to wait for a while.
On the other hand you can try enabling it yourself, but it requires root (easiest way would be to install Magisk module)

Click to collapse i'm using one that i had on my old redmi note 4x, the version of the gcam is 5.1.018 and works like a charm, no crashes at all.
Camera 2 api is unlocked by default and full on Redmi 7 no need to work around for it
Arcore on xiaomi redmi note 8 pro
Is there some sort of a way to get Arcore support. Redmi note 7 pro has it but 8 pro doesn't. Can i root my phone to unlock it?

I forgot my Mi Account so I go to a repair shop to bypass my note 8 pro but it's so annoying that I cannot update my phone to the latest software so, is it possible change my phone to a custom rom so that I can update it to a better OS?
