Found this app on playstore, works flawlessly, you can change the saturation of phone to meet your liking without use of a custom kernel
This can be used to fix the extra punciness of AMOLED wide gamut or make the DPI3 more attractive to the eye

0.85-0.9 Rouhly for Amoled Gamut
Oh man thank you very much, just moved from 1+5 to 7t, and was really unhappy with the colors, even after playing with settings, this one worked flawlessly!
By the way, I used "Natural" in system display settings, that actually makes colors washed out, and put saturation to 1.2, I found that this settings gives most natural colors.

Hello,
I've been really angry about screen of SGS II - especially about its warm color tint. Today I've been playing with MDNIE profiles and finally managed, how to get off that annoying tint.
Attached file modifies MDNIE settings for "Standard" mode in "Settings > Display > Screen mode" options.
To apply this patch, EXTRACT ZIP and replace extracted "mdnie_tune_ui_standard_mode" with one in your "/system/etc" (root needed).
NOTE: This is not an CWM UPDATE.ZIP !!!
Try it and give me your suggestions!
Thanks!
EDIT:
If you want blueish Dynamic mode, just rename attached "mdnie_tune_ui_standard_mode" to "mdnie_tune_ui_dynamic_mode" and overwrite with one in your "/system/etc".
Settings are same but Samsung have "something" else added in Dynamic profile option.
Added comparison pictures - thanks to bala_gamer!
Note: Real look is bit different than on the pictures (the display is not that blue - at least on my screen). Pictures just shows how big amount of change this is.
There are a lot of screen types so you have to test in on your own if will it look acceptable to you
Just tested it and it did made a difference. Isn't the bluish tint a little too much?
I think that its just a matter of manner.
If I compare these settings with my old, perfect, SGS 1's display, it is still too warm...

It's going to be difficult to match the SGS1 because Supercurio implemented his Voodoo Color application. However, I think your fix is pretty good. Still a little off but much better than before. Thanks
Nice find, I quite like the change, looks to be a little further down the blue side of the spectrum on mine than neutral-white.

I do not use Voodoo color at my SGS 1 at all - everything is in default about screen. I think that through these MDNIE settings we can make SGS 2 display colors almost perfect! It just need time to play with...
I think it's a matter of taste. Plus, I think not all SGS2s are calibrated the same way. For me, I like the colors the way they are except for the highlights which I think are on the cold side; need more red and a bit of green.
Anyway, good job. Keep it up.
Could someone show some comparison pictures?
Would be nice to see.

I have access to four another SGS2 (in company where I work) and all of them are grossy warm...I've applied my settings to all of them and they are looking much better.
I've tried to take a photo with and without mod but I have camera with auto white balance so there is no difference. The change is not very significant either...just a little change of color tone - better to try yourself but don't forget to backup your original files

still not fixed
The color is still very yellow compared to the galaxy (I9000), but thanks for your temporary fix.
I like it, Difference is vivid..
Super! !!! Thanks man!
This is amazing!
Permission to include in future releases of DlevROM2?
Again awesome stuff here! Keep it up, really makes a difference
Thanks a lot !
I have a more bluesh tint by default on my SGS2 as well. So I guess this fix wont do any good to my color profile. I guess it should be more warm ... more red and green probably...
thanks for your work, but can not find a mdnie_tune_ui_standard_mode file in /system/etc.
I´m on cm7. Is it missing there? How can your patch be applied there or is it just not necessary?
Thanks

On Cyanogen !!
You don't need to do this....Cyanogen is PERFECT !
I think it is a bit too much blueish, however, the yellowish is still there. By the way, thank you very much for this, I hope you could improve it to be perfect
Nice. Too blueish for my taste though
Hi all,
As some of you may know, the I9300 has an RGB ambient light sensor. I made a little app to show off the capabilities of the sensor. It's very basic at the moment since I just finished it but I though I'd share it with you guys and gals before heading to bed.
The sensor in the phone reports raw values, which haven't been adjusted to take into account the different sensitivity the human eye has to different colours. The app compensates a bit, by scaling the raw sensor values according to the CIE response curve. However I have not yet taken the non-linearity of intensity into account.
At the moment the app works best for strong colours.
To use the app:
Launch.
Done.
On the top left are the values reported by the sensor. The bottom square shows the colour after scaling/processing. If you tap the coloured square you can pause/unpause the measurement.
The attached pictures are what I get when I test my monitor. If I hold the phone next to the screen they look almost identical. So I can conclude my laptop screen is ****e
I have only tested this on the international version. So all you US folks, feel free to try it and let me know if it works.

Very nice work, seems like more and more people are learning to dev.
Very raw app, but with some work this could be useful.
Ps. Settings doesn't work
Thanks for the support.
I'm stuck on what to actually do with this, so if anyone has any ideas/features feel free to throw them out there.
Very nice! I'm just thinking that is there anyway we could turn this to an pc monitor calibration tool. Is the sensor accurate enough? Just thinking of the possibilities...
Nice app, i never knowed, that there are an rgb sensor)
Will be very cool if someone make something usefull with that)
Thank you for the show possibilities
Cheers

This could be an awesome app for people who want to 'Colour Pick' from swatches, Eg: Paint matching, fabric matching etc...
You could also refine this to tweak & calibrate monitors (LCD/Plasma) just like thos $200.00 sensors you can buy at Photo stores.
For us photographers and cinematographers out there, it could be refined further to become an incident light meter...
Could also be used within a game where sensed colours could match a result of some kind..... endless possibilities..
Anyway, This is a very cool app indeed! I cant stop playing with it, Thanks for this!

Hi everyone!
As a Note II user, I really enjoy the "warm vintage" camera effect, and I shoot the 80% of the photos with this filter activated. After I tried many Apps, I'm stick with this stock effect because creates an excellent tone and colours, and does not look so vintage. But I will change my phone in a few months, and I can't find any App with something like that. Could anyone help me out with this? Thanks a lot!
Snapseed and even Line camera app have those and many other effects - but I like Snapseed's ability to adjust more.

Yes, you are right, I should have explained myself better. I meant I'm looking for the effect in real time, as is built in our Notes, so you can see it before you take the picture, not a filter you can apply later. And also I'd like the same white balance and colour saturation that "warm vintage" has, not an approximate solution. Thanks anyway for the response!:good:

It was only included in Note2, not in any model after that.
Hello, just switched from Galaxy S3 to Xperia Z3 and badly missing the warm vintage effect on my cammera, from same reasons as originator of this thread.
Can anyone advice which camera app is matching, if any?
Thank you very much
Try "Open Camera", it's free in the Playstore. It has quite same Warm Vintage effects in the stock camera app.

Thank you for the hint. Open Camera is nowhere near my expectation. Its true, that with white balance manually set to Daylight or Cloudy-daylight, the colours are much more alive, but not as much as I would imagine.
Any other idea? It really not possible to transfer the Samsung (S3) camera mode to other device?

Tried this?
One of the more pleasant surprises I got when I bought this phone was how dark the screen could get for night tile viewing. With Night Mode and the lowest brightness, I could browse my phone first thing in the morning without dying.
Now, on Nougat, Night Mode just adds a yellowish tint - probably reducing blue light or whatever - and brightness doesn't seem to go as low now. Kinda blinded this morning...
Is there some way of fixing this?
1.
2.
3.
And many more..
I probably should've specified I wasn't looking for a separate app for this purpose. I know that much!
Just wondering if I can get the built in function to be sensible again.

hope it helps
MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.3d_TlnNeun_2 works almost perfeclty with some configs (fixes and saturation adjustment), nonHDR doesn't work, HDR+ and HDR+ Enhanced works, nightsight works as well.
Thanks for answers but no video on YouTube regarding gcam on realme X...... Any specific reason???
GCam-6.2.030_Arnova8G2_Urnyx05-v1.2.apk is also working.
Can anyone please provide a link here? I tried a lot of gcam mods from apk mirror but none of them seem to work.

This one works for me: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/Gcam_6.2.030_Advanced_V2.2.190716.1800-Final.apk[/url]
After installation, go to settings --> About --> enable 'Enable advanced mode', or you cannot see anything in screen.
Also, you need to set the saturation value manually, or the photo taken will be in low saturation level. Steps: Settings --> ···HDR+ Control --> Saturation adjustments. Set the 'Hightlight Saturation' to 2.0 and 'Shadow Saturation' to 2.2 (This value can be set again according to your own preference).
Then you can use it normally. Hope this helps.
Can confirm with above link gcam is working

i used this apk suggested by you for quite sometime, but i found it to be color inaccurate, it recognizes pink color as red. let me know if you have the same issue.
anyway the one by the sain1ty is working great for me. colors are represented accurately and night node is also improved a bit.
here's a link to the apk i've tried,
f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/F1v9.4a_6.2.030.apk
after installing go to settings>F1 mod settings>enable "AI awb in hdr+ enhanced".
you can leave the saturation settings as it is.
