spigen thin fit classic vs thin fit??? - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Accessories

so the TFC is 3 pieces and the description says it has face-down protection. the TF is one piece and doesn't mention anything about the face-down protection.
anyone have experience with both of these and/or knows the specific differences (besides the one vs 3 pieces) between the two?
thanks!

No problem,

I have both, the 3 piece has more of an extended face down protection. Which helps a lot. I used to have the one piece and the screen shattered hitting a bumpy Rock floor tile. The three-piece is my new favorite minimalist case. Hopefully this can help you on your decision even though this is a late message reply. ?

Need a good stylus for the vibrant

Anyone know of a decent stylus for the vibrant? I just ordered a cheapo one from ebay and it's not that great. It has a rubber tip so I can't swype or drag well. I just want one so I can use the phone without taking off my gloves during cold weather. Thanks.
What about touchscreen gloves, instead?

Doesn't the stylus have to be a capacitive touch screen stylus?

I also need to know this. I use Square to process credit cards for my business and customers have hard time using thier finger for signatures, I need a pen that will work and not scratch the screen.

the screen has gorilla glass so its almost impossible to scratch and you can just google capacitive stylus and go to the shopping section

Yes, it does.
I've been doing some more research on it. I can't really find the perfect stylus. I tried to use my crappy stylus today and it was a hassle to get it in and out of my pocket. I think I may abandon the whole stylus thing altogether and go with another method like sewing some conductive thread into my shooting gloves.
http://www.instructables.com/id/Making-A-Glove-Work-With-A-Touch-Screen/
Whoever wanted a stylus for signatures, it looks like the Dagi stylus give the best accuracy. I would've went with that, but it is kind of expensive and hear it stops working randomly.

DayDeal.com has a HTC Branded stylus that looks exactly like the Dagi one. They also have several conductive foam tip ones as well. Just stay away from rubbery style tips. They are a little smaller and a little more precise for tapping, but they stick to the screen so Swype does not work well and neither would signatures.
BTW - Does the square hardware work with the T959 Vibrant?

Wow, that HTC one is just as expensive as the Dagi. I would've gotten one, but read some reviews about it not working after a while.
The best stylus I've used is, by far, the Griffin. I got mine from Amazon for just under $15. I bought it for sketching on my iPad but use it on my Vibrant as well.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041D0K1Q/ref=oss_product
The tip is soft rubber (as opposed to conductive foam like the Pogo) that slides across the screen nicely. The eBay kinds have rubber that skids and leaves marks - the tip on this one does not. I've used it on bare screens, crystal clear screen protectors, and matte anti-fingerprint screen protectors with no issues whatsoever.
Sensitivity and accuracy are better than the Pogo and it works at all angles, unlike those crap eBay kind.
From what I understand, Targus and Boxwave make versions that are pretty much identical. I think they all run about the same price, so I guess go with whatever brand you like best.

A realy perfect Leather Case

from ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270831391457&ssPageNam e=ADME:L:OC:AU:1123
review:
After my first disapointing buy from ebay i bought this "sexy"
synthetic leather case.
Its weight is 290 grams.
Is a very-very slim case and when it closed, the case is tightly fixed on the tablet.
It has 3 deep grooves for standing and the tablet is very stable in these positions.
The philosophy of this case is "to not hiding nothing from the tablet when you use it."
On the back side there is a gentle opening for the camera.
It smells like leather.
The close clip aplly a good force to keep the case closed.
Every button or socket of the tablet is accesible with closed case
And finally i am happy, and this is the most important
Looks good, does it have a typing angle? What is the name?
also are you able to charge the tab without having the case open? i have one such and i need to have my case open each time i charge which is a pain
This is maybe the case I'm looking for. Can you please share the name and the link for the case. Since you can't post links, replace for examples the dots of the url with spaces or some other characters.
Maybe this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320786081962#ht_2592wt_1165
You have to open the case when charging (if I remember right).
I bought this. Premium quality indeed.
EDIT:
cheaper one

I must say the case looks really nice!
I was wondering about the 3 viewing angles though - do they firmly support the Tab? Would hate to buy it and then find out it slips and falls out when I set it up on one of the angles (I saw that happen before...). Also, is it possible to use this case to prop your Tab up when you put it in your lap (in bed or something similar)? Or is it too flimsy?
And do you feel the extra weight when you carry the tab around? I really love how light it is right now, you don't even notice you have it in your bag (with the standard samsung pouch on) and it's really easy to hold it in one hand and typing with the other if you're walking around the house.

The gaps for the 3 viewing angles are deep enough, and yes you can use it in your lap, my wife do it often.

is still light it is just 290 grams more.
but if you want to use it with one hand, i think that the best way is

The same case, with a new name, posted once again in a new thread. This was $12 on amazon last week.
Really? I sure couldn't find it when I looked (didn't look really hard though)
Doesn't really matter though, if it's a good case I'm more then willing to spend $23 on it. The most basic samsung pouch costs 25€ (about $35) here :S.

I purchased a look a like case from here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005ECHQ4C
I was struggling to find it as cheap as in the US for example.
The one from the above link, seem to be very good so far. All viewing angles work great, both on a flat surface and on my lap. The typing position is my most used.
'Leather' quality seems good so far. Of course it is going to add some weight, but not really an issue for me. ALL ports/buttons are fully accessible, inc charging when case is closed.
its a great case

I'm using the flip cover on my S3 and is exactly what i wanted. The only problem is the led being covered, so, i used a tool that i have to make holes on belts to make one on the cover and now is perfect for me.
See the pic below. The cover is very hard, i had to make a lot of "force" to make the hole.

I doubt they will but I think it would increase sales as a lot of people have pointed out the issue. I can't see how they can solve the issue of using the camera though.
Can someone that owns this case answer me this;
Is this cover protective for the screen in a case of a fall? I mean does it "lock" in place over the screen? If you turn it upside down for example, the flip opens?
I believe its the most basic thing that should be answered (if it does not protect the screen its useless) and no one in any review does this simple test.

I got one of these a couple of weeks back for my device. I found it was rather annoying having to hold it at an awkward angle when on the phone. I wish they'd made it flip up or down instead of to the side. It also means you can't hold it very well with your left hand either, as it adds even more width on to the device!
I've switched to a skin thingy now instead, even though it leaves the screen open to damage. I'm still looking to get some kind of plastic cover I can use with the skin I've got though.

I didn't have the right tips for the dremel so I had to use a grind stone, it looks incredibly sloppy but the rubber is so tight on it that I'm not worried about dust. I found the right tips after I was done (imagine that) so the case I do in a few days should look a lot better. No pointers really, you should be able to free hand it.
in addition to pics without the silicone cover, can you take pics with everyone on and show the back near the camera. wondering if theres a gap or something between the rubber and plastic. im glad you had the balls to do this. i didnt think it was possible.

I will show pics without the silicone but I'll update it later when I re do it with the right tool. I thought I posted a picture of the back. There is a gap but the battery seals tightly between the plastic and the silicone. There's definitely no chance of dust getting in but I'll add the picture once I'm home.
And yeah I was getting tired of not having a good case for my extended batteries.

appreciate the pics man even though you being busy and all
that looks like a precise cut, very nice. any tips on how to get it right the first time?
the only thing that bothers me is the gap between the hardshell and silicone on the back (right under the camera).
i dont really care about the looks, but worry about rain water or whatever getting inside quicker.
since the original back cover is removed, the back and internals are technically more exposed.
Hey man I just purchased this battery and think your idea is awesome. I'm surprised no one has asked exactly how you modded this to make it work. So you cut the hard plastic backing and the outer silicone? The 3rd pic in the OP doesn't look like the silicone was cut.

the app is on the playstore its called slim view cover and spigen is releasing there own app on 05/01
Not to dig up too old a topic, but anyone have thoughts on the new app if it actually came out? I've been holding off buying this until the Spigen app released.

Their app really really sucks. I don't know why I thought it'd be good. Mostly all of their products suck I'm kinda happy with the case but still have issues with it. Under the window its still plastic not rubber so the plastic is resting right on the screen and the front cover is really thin and it bugs me just because I can press down on it and it will touch the screen. I don't have a screen protector on it so this is a concern. Its alright but I'll definitely be looking for a new case. Hard to hold while texting and the hinge is kinda crappy. They say 360° but I don't see how they got 360 when that means a complete rotation. It flips on its back and that's only 180°. But at least it doesn't cover the camera.

Again to dig up the old topic...
but...
... no reason to start a new thread as anyone looking to buy this case should be able to find all opinions in one place.
I bought this case have extremely mixed feelings.
1, it's a great case. It fits well. The buttons require a little extra effort to push, but no big deal. Supposedly the flip cover is removable, but I haven't seen how to do it without breaking the hinge. I'm sure it can be done, but I'm afraid to push things. Definitely it makes the phone bigger and heavier, but I don't see that as a bad thing as honestly the phone is a featherweight without a case. One minor issue with the physical build, is that the bottom edge of the view window brushes the screen of the phone while closed. Being plastic, I'm sure it wouldn't affect the glass screen. However, it does appear to be starting to leave a worn spot on the screen protector of my phone after only a few weeks. Something to definitely think of if you use plastic screen protectors.
2, the software is incredibly incredibly terrible. Whether you use 3rd party or the official Spigen app, they both bite the big one. I can't review each separately because I swapped between them constantly as new problems appeared, and forgot which one had which problems. But problems included: battery usage. phone calls not answering. phone calls answering themselves. can't connect bluetooth outgoing calls without opening flip cover. randomly lists previous calls as still ongoing. Additionally, though this isn't technically software, you have to be exceedingly careful not to even get near the proximity sensor while using the phone or it will trigger the app. Even with a 2 second proximity delay, I found it was very hard especially in landscape mode (such as taking pictures) to not accidentally trigger the sensor. Also, having the light sensor covered renders auto brightness non functional.
In the end, I still use the case. But without proper software support, I'm not sure it is worth $45. I ended up just putting widgets on my homescreens on the top 1/2 of the screen so I can see them with the flip cover closed. Answering the phone requires the ol' open the flip cover deal. That's better than the terrible software.
As far as protection... considering my Nexus 4 shattered from a drop onto dirt, despite having a Ringke Hybrid Fusion installed, I was looking for better protection. It appears this offers much better protection. It has already survived a 3 foot drop, initiated by a cranky cat, from a piano to a hardwood floor. Only time will tell, of course.
If you don't mind NOT having the software support... I feel this might just be the safest your Nexus 5 can be without placing it in a firesafe filled with expanding foam.
My buddy ordered this case a while ago, loved it, then hated it. Some of you were concerned about the view window touching the screen and potentially scratching it, well it did, for him at least. He now has a dull line across the middle of his screen. Almost the whole width. This only took 2 weeks of use. Just a little FYI for those interested in this case. You'll definitely want to use a screen protector with it.
Yeah my screen got deep scratches as well I can see them on the otherwise of my now installed screen protector. Its a nice case. Terrible window. And terrible app. The Galaxy S4 view armor had glass in the case itself. I bought this because I thought it did too.

I have bombed spigen's email with complaints and they do not even bother to reply - it's such a shame that a company would make a great case, with promises of a functioning app and not follow through. My brother (note 3) and my gf (S4) BOTH bought this case on my recommendation and they love it bc it just works. I know it's different bc we dont have the magnets to trigger the innerworkings but sheesh just give us something relatively useful and it would be okay.

I'd be willing to give a little pass on the proximity sensor issues if those were the ONLY issues.
Sooo, spigen supplys the case but no app?
Or does anyone have more info then that, i ordered the case before i read up on it in here... and now i have it laying on my desk and i am not sure if i sould unpack it or not.
Without the app the window is pointless... and i could have ordered the slim armor instead and saved a few bucks ...
but i really liked the idea of having my screen protected by a secon layer of defense .. first one is obviously a screen foil ...
can anyone confirm that the app is really missing or am i just to stupid to use the search function?

The app is in the PlayStore. I just watched a video on it as I'm looking for a case for mine. They'll have a QR code on the instructions.
They do provide an app - but the app is terrible.

Have they not updated it since release of this case?
