I'm looking for a working camera flash notification (calls mainly) aplication. My system is MIUI on 4.1.1 or Demoilition on XELLA.
I tested Lightflow - no option for camera flash Led
Flashlight notifier
Flashlight call
Flash Blink.
What is the point of such function?
First of all, camera LED takes lots battery,
and In second, when people put download the phone I guess most people is make it face up and back down position as Phone's camera flash will be covered and you won't see it...
Even your have to consider the possibility of damaging the camera LED, I supposed it is not made for such purpose, not like the front LED notificator ...
And by the way, there is camera flash options in Light Flow, at least in paid version through I didn't test it

Odp: [q]Camera Flash led for incoming call on MIUI
Well... I was going to test that type of notification and make sure that it is nonsense. Point is that in car sometimes i can't hear ringtone and vibrations so i was going to test blinking flash.
Problem is that aplications i tested are not working on miui. I think i just pass.

The app you're looking for is called beacon i believe uses the camera flash light for notification. Useless program..
So, I don't use Ambient Screen, but ever since the update to Marshmallow I got yesterday, i've noticed whenever I check my watch and the screen turns on for a split second it has the ambient screen look. Whatever notification i've got shows in the black outlined kind of look it does, and my dial is in its ambient screen mode phase. It's only a split second or so, before it flicks to normal. But it's never been like this before marshmallow, and it's a little annoying to see it flick between the ambient to the normal. Especially since I have ambient off.

Mine does the same thing. Also, the minute hand suddenly jumps when it updates to the correct time.
Same here. I don't like it. It's barely a 10th of a second, but its annoying. Changing watch faces does not fix it.
Mine does the same annoyin thing...
Whether could anyone attached clip that we all still do not update, see what the problem is?
Thanks in advance.

Same here on my moto 360 1st gen, it shows the ambient screen for a split second before the normal watch face, this is annoying, I tried changing the watch face, turning on and off the ambien screen, etc. Nothing helps
Same with Moto 360 2015.... I guess it has to do with the DOZE mode in Marshmallow..
Try to set all elements value "Display" to Always in Watchmaker + remove all elements, that appear in Dim mode. Takes some time, but should be working.
Any news?
Same here in Italy... Very annoying

Hey guys,
I just wanted to check if Moto Z play has LED notification. I just read somewhere that this device does not have one. But wanted to confirm.
If this is true, I have to look for another device.
Thanks
No doesn't have notification light more a on screen notification , like if a gumtree message comes through and the screen is off It shows a tree in a dim white at the bottom

It actually has a hidden LED as every moto device. On CyanogenMod I've already repurposed it as notification LED.

If it's like the Droid Turbo it has a "charging LED" that can be used with root
If u root there's a app that can make the front flash work as a notification

I use this in my moto x style
Thank you guys for sharing the information
I saw the LED on our Moto Z play, when you connect the turbocharger with the phone turned off, you can clearly see a white led (not the flash) blinking briefly in the zone of the proximity sensors.
Yeah there is something between the front camera and speaker, maybe someone can configure it for notification
I used led control app to make it work. It is only white. And it didn't make it work for notifications. Only when charging, or usb, or using internal, or external memory.

Every moto has that it's a battery indicator not a notification led

Tasker is capable of using this LED and you can set it up to function as a notification light. I do it with my Droid Turbo.

This may or may not work on the Z Play. You will need root.
BACKUP FIRST JUST IN CASE!
I have it setup to only turn on if the screen is off.
Task 1 (LED on): if %SCREEN ~ Off
Set light - set charging to 1
End if
Task 2 (LED off): set light - set charging to 0
For profiles do this for each app you want to have set off the LED if you don't want it going off for every notification. Otherwise don't choose an application and it'll go off for any notification:
event > UI > notification. Choose an application (optional) then have this profile perform Task 1.
To turn off the LED I have it go off when I turn the screen on.
Event > display > display on and have this perform Task 2.
I'm sure this can be improved but this is how I have it set up right now.
Hi,
I have a new bought Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite and my notification LED light sometimes does not blink when there are notifications (e.g. WhatsApp messages).
That happens independent of how long the phone has been put away and independent of internet connection etc., the LED light only turns on in around 80% of all cases.
In the other 20% of cases, the light is not flashing, and when I unlock the phone I have a normal notification icon on the top of the screen.
I already checed all settings for notifications, everything seems to be fine.
maybe someone can help me?

Hi, for me deactivating Ambient display did the trick (Settings --> Display --> Advanced --> Ambient display (set it to Off).
Hope that helps.

hi
thanks for the tip, but it still sometimes doesnt light up.
Also, I noticed that sometimes it happens that the light goes on (as it should) when I receive a message, but after some time (15min+) the notification light disappears...
Could be a hardware issue as it works just fine for me.
so I will order another Xiamo Mi A2 Lite and look if the problem also occurs there.. :/
I had encountered this as well at times I thought it was just software issue.
Guys, I found that the proximity sensor often works badly. When I am on call, the display turns off as soon as it gets close to the ear, but then as soon as the call is finished the screen remains closed as if it were still on call and I have to touch the screen to reactivate it like never before? I've already done the test * # 77692 # and the sensor is working. I read somewhere that the S10 also suffered from this problem.

Mine works just fine, I even use an app to activate/deactivate the loudspeaker
