You should install manually rsd lite or fastboot if android 9 comes for xt1710-10
or flash stock bsckup of twrp with stock recovery and check system update @Vinshu1815

But if you pick it as update in the updater app, it says:
"Can't verify update. ROM is in beta testing, make sure you have signed in with a beta authorized xiaomi account."

I've had the exact same issue! Did you use Xiaomitool in the past to switch between china/global without unlocking BL? That caused this **** for me.
You need to fastboot flash MIUI 9 using miflash, after that this "region" issue wil be resolved. If you don't have the fastboot rom hit me up on Telegram or send me a PM and I can send it to you.

Sounds like you need to update the fastboot drivers. While the device is in fastboot, go to device manager and look for an unknown device that is probably your phone. You'll need to update the drivers to have it show Android Bootloader Interface.

Unlocking the bootloader will format all phone including internal storage - there is official tutorial how to unlock the bootloader. In MiFlash there's an option Clean all and lock, after that you'll receive updates normally. There's official guide too for flashing fastboot rom - check official global rom page.

Downgrade Mi 10T Pro "M2007J3SG"

Premise: I have a xiaomi Mi 10T Pro model "M2007J3SG", never flashed firmware, never rooted and only updated from phone settings.
Wanting to revert to a firmware with android 10, original do I need to unlock the bootloader?
If I have to unlock it how should I do it, assuming I don't have to put any custom rom or run root.

If the phone is a Chinese version does not lock the bootloader.
Miflash is used to flash firmware.
unlock bootloader erases your data, Miflash too.
If there is an error during the flash, the flash does not occur.
