I uninstalled Huawei health app since I don't use it, but when checking sensor time being used under Android system it still has an entry for "step counter" , it appears that the device is still counting steps when no app is present. Using* the app GSAM, I've never seen the sensor steps used in my other devices.
Would anyone be able to shed some light?

Looks like the mate 20X has an inbuilt step counter that is always on by default. Not good.

I was just checking out my data usage and there is a 10147 with almost 3 gigs and I can't find any info on it. There's no app settings button at the bottom, no corresponding app. I haven't rooted yet, but I'll try and search in the for system to see what I can find but does anyone have any idea what it is?

What do you do most on your tablet? surfing the web?
I find that as a wakelock on my phone all the time
Web/apps I am constantly trying out apps then uninstalling them also constantly on the web. And I don't ever let the screen lock so I don't know if it's preventing anything.

Looks like a PID, what does the output of:
Code:
ps |grep 10147
...yield in a terminal?
Found this on youtube seems like its possibly fake.
Any ideas if its real seems to support a few devices

You've answered it by yourself. Do your own research for rooting, it's easy if you follow literally steps by steps
Funny that this root method was published 8 months before the phone even came out.

Will people STOP posting/asking/inquiring about a one-click root method? Unless it's released on HERE (which the devs said they aren't going to do) then STOP worrying about it.

This morning I received two updates directly in a row from 1.0.8.50. Changelog attached.
Still no watch store or AOD.

Yes, also got it, but as you said no AOD
To add some another watch faces
wipe health data and huawei mobile services then
change your location to UK using any VPN app like tunnelBear
Didn't the watch get an AOD option with 1.0.8.34 update?

try that way but sorry did not work any other ways ?
My one is sitting on 1.0.8.60 for some time now. no AOD. If I remember correctly, I didn't get any 1.0.8.34 firmware at all, it jumped over the AOD version 1.0.8.34 from an earlier one. WTH huawei is doing here? I am waiting for this AOD for ages
Anyone know what sort of update this is? There is no information about it at all. Just popped on my screen. Currently on 9.1, if it was Emui 10, wouldn't it show more information?

“This is the newly supported feature for time zone system update modification. This update contains only the time zone setting change and size will be nearly 230KB. The time zone update is basically for supporting Daylight saving time (DST) which is applicable for some countries”

Sounds like something went wrong during your update, since you seem to have also other problems according to your other thread.
I have the AOD settings where they should be (as in your Screenshots above) although I don't use it.
The only issue I have with the update is that the contact pics are now the coin size again instead of half screen size in contacts or full in dialer.
Whats your version of phone, which country and firmware?

There is no clock style aod on mate 20x. This has been discussed since beta Emui 10. Those people who write those blogs ain't got a clue.
