I'm stuck.. Whenever I send or receive MMS on my watch I get the message "The message contains media content. View the content on your phone." I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to work. My husband has the same watch (active2) , phone (Galaxy S8+), and carrier (t-mobile) and MMS pictures show up on his watch. The only time the messages don't show up on his watch is when they are sent from my phone. I have done a factory reset on my phone and nothing has worked. Any suggestions as to what the issue could be?

Help. I am completely frustrated.
My tmobile touch pro 2 all of a sudden can not receive any text messages. When I switch out my sim card to another phone it gets texts immediately so there is nothing wrong there.
I've already tried resetting the phone many times and even left the battery out before doing so. When I send a text message to my own phone number from the phone I get a text back from the system administrator stating that the message was not delivered and that I should check the address and try again.
I've used other phones and texting services to try to send myself texts but nothing comes through. Is there anything else I can do?
Glad to see I was not the only one having this problem. I had to call customer service and they sent me a new phone.

Did you recently install any new apps? I had that problem at one time, and realized that it was the app that i downloaded that caused my text messages not to work. the app that casued the error for me was True Caller. Once i uninstalled the app and soft reseted my phone, the text messages worked perfectly again.
I hope this helps.
first off I have a lumia 900 from AT&T with the new 7.8 update. I have also contacted Nokia about my problems but they just tell me to contact AT&T, so here I am. Can some one please explain to me how group texting works and why it goes through as MMS when there is no data involved? If I dont have a data connection I dont get the message (which is a problem for me when I travel). I get the message (media content in this message) or (we cant show some content in this message). Again no pictures or video were sent just a text to multiple people. Another problem is contact share app, the app just doesnt work, I cant send or recieve anything. Most of the time this happens when the other person sends info from an iphone.
I'm on most recent firmware and most recent CM10.1 nightly and suddenly MMS pics will no longer send. It tries to send but then fails with messages "message not sent" and "service not activated on network"
This has never happened before and happened all the sudden yesterday. I had sent one pic that did work, then a few minutes later I tried another and it failed in this manner, as have all further attempts. I even deleted all of my sms/mms messages thinking there was something wrong with the messaging program. No help. What it APPEARS is happening is that instead of the program sizing the images down to an attachment-friendly size, it is trying to send the full ~2MB jpegs and it would seem that is too big for MMS. But if this is the case, I have no idea why it would have started doing this all the sudden.
Is there anything in the messaging or gallery programs that I can reset or refresh that might help this?
Thanks

If you can send a SMS (simple text message) then all you need to do is have your provider take you out, and then reinsert you into the network. SOMETIMES, sending a picture to yourself after a battery removal boot can get things going too.....
You also could try the basic and use app manager and clean out the cache of whatever app you're using to send the MMS msg, and retry it. Remember, the MMS takes a while longer to send vice the SMS transmission.
Good Luck!
I have a TMobile S4 and my friend has an AT&T Moto X. For some reason, whenever she sends a picture to me, I get the following message instead of the pic: "The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction." The weird thing is that no one else gets that message when she sends them a pic and I never get that message unless I receive a pic from her.
Anyone have a fix for this? I've tried various setting on her phone and mine and nothing fixes it.

There are different MMS size restrictions for different carriers. Make sure you have the right APN settings.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm wondering if anyone else has this same issue (or can test it).
I have the Watch GT2 and I am aware that it is only able to display notifications and not repsond. When I receive an SMS message I can see the notification and the message, however if the message is sent from another user and we both have Google RCS messaging enabled (Chat) then if the message is sent via this the notification isn't sent to the watch, only see I've got a message when I look on the phone screen.
Tried resetting the watch and the phone, repairing, checking the notification settings for the watch and app, etc but still nothing. I've raised a service ticket with Huawei but I don't think their UK team understand the issue.
Problem is still present in 2023
