Does anyone know if the galaxy watch can flash roms and have custom OS's like on previous generations? Can it use roms made for the gear s3? What are your thoughts on the default rom with tizen 4.0? What would you want from any custom rom?
Let's start a discussion on this topic!
I am pretty sure roms from the gear s3 will not work. Also why would someone Flash an old rom on a new watch? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Btw...
Tizen 4 seems to have same Bug like 3 or 2.3 so IMHO 5 will not be much better...
It is Samsun. s h...

I was just wondering whether or not they would be similar. I've seen a phone before that could run a rom from another phone, that's why I was asking. Didn't expect much tbh
Hi all. Can anyone help me with a odin files for the first software of this watch. I am have the next problem:
Hello! Since the new software update earlier this week I am having a problem with my screen brightness setting which I have set at 8. When my watch goes into AOD mode, after the 15 second screen timeout, and then when the screen goes back on again the brightness setting is down to 3. Then I change it back to 8, the screen goes into AOD, and when the screen goes back on it is down to 3 again. Every time. Never had a problem like this before the recent software update, or on my Gear S3 for years. I turned the watch off for a few hours, and then turned it back on, but the problem persists. Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it? Thanks!!!
Please can anyone hrlp me with the idin files plss

Hello Adfree.
Nice video btw. Thanks for that.
I have the exact same issue like Alejandro in the video, and the exact same model: SM-810X.
Is there any way you can provide me with the rom files for this model? I would like to give it a try, and flash the files, rather keep it in the drawer...
Much appreciated any help.
Cheers!

hi all
couldn't find information about this using google or searching here.
Useful stuff i've found:
wiki. tizen .org/Porting_Guide/Tizen_Bootup_Overview (no information about signing or checksums) [remove whitespaces]
I was wondering:
1. Can I simply flash anything via Odin and it will still boot or is there some signing going on? maybe just some "custom" packing?
2. Has any1 built tizen "from scratch" using their repos (?
3. Are there more information about the bootloader(s)? do they use u-boot? (saw that in their git repo)
Thanks a lot in advance!

I suggest to choose wisely... because you can brick your device... and only bring back via USB cable for instance:

But you could use their daily Tizen 5.5 Images...
Maybe i will add later what I mean...

Wow, this is cool. Do you have access to Tizen 5.5 images? Is it usable as daily driver?

WEAR OS
if it was done on the gear s, why isn't it possible to do with the galaxy watch or any others for that matter? I would rather have Wear OS instead of Tizen because of the universal capability to use on multiple platforms, plus the convenience of a plethora of apps. Samsung doesn't have versatility, or so it seems...
Is there anyone who has successfully rooted anything after the S2 and uses Wear?

I have R815u if this post is still alive and ongoing. I don't mind testing at all (steps provided of course)
Hi everyone,
I have a Gwa 2 (SM-R820, Tizen 4.0.0.6, R820XXU1BTA1) and I want to change region from Portugal to Italy.
I've read this post but the links to get NetOdin and SDBStarterKidv1 aren't avaible anymore. Any help?
Also, the tutorial is about a R825 and I have R820. Where do I get the right Combination Firmware?
(I've found this video, is the CF showed right for my smartwatch?)
2 other questions:
1 I've the warranty still active. If i'll ever get a problem with my smartwatch regardless of what I'll do here, I'll be still able to reset to the "original status" so to get assistance from Samsung Assistence?
2 If everything works, my smartwatch will still get updates?
Thanks for everyone who will be able to help me :fingers-crossed:

hi guys sorry i have a concern, maybe it is also the wrong place to post this question / file, I am the owner of the galaxy watch active 2 with the latest US 5.5 update
when I install the classic ecg via sdb the icon appears for a moment and then disappears, on the various telegram groups this tpk has been posted in which it is stated that it works but I am doubtful about its origin, can you kindly check this file? thank you so much.
I don't have the tools to be able to analyze this .tpk files so I rely on you, and be aware that it could do damage to your smarthwatch
What kind of phone do you have?
This only works on Samsung devices
Hi I got s22 s901W combination files BOOT RECOVERY AND MODEM but i cant flash them due to system binary protection so in s10 u could buy tokens online to allow system binary now is there any way to flash these onto my device I will share the files if they work.
You need eToken (steady.bin) to use Combination Firmware.
Background info you can find here:
