Guys sorry to bother you but my phone just keeps turning off and on. It happened when I updated my phone with the normal OTA update in the device settings. I left my phone alone for a few minutes but when I came back, I saw the error "An error has occured in updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
The error screen also keeps turning off and on. I searched the OTA up on Sammobile and downloaded it to flash on my phone using Odin.
However, when I go into download mode and start flashing(where it says Downloading: Do not turn off target), the screen turns off and it returns to to flickering error screen. My phone keeps exiting Odin mode and restarts to that screen.
This applies for anything I flash. It's like the Odin mode is broken or something.
Please help me because this is my main device! Your help would greatly be appreciated!
I was updating to the latest Android 9 Pie software for Singapore(XSP) from Android 8 Oreo.

I also did not do any other form of mods like custom recovery or root.

Hi XDA Forums,
I have a problem with my Note 2 for some reason.
Let me explain you what is wrong with my Note 2
I was sitting down and watching a movie, my phone was right next to me, The phone randomly turned off and after couple of second it had turned back on. It had showed the first every screen when you turn it on "Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100". Now from there it keeps on looping the same screen over and over again.
I had done some research before opening this thread, I saw that some people said I should try factory resetting it from the recovery mode, I then tried going on the recovery mode, it was not successful, it had showed me the same "Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100" screen and then repeated to boot loop it self again, I tried going on the recovery a couple of times but it didn't let me go on it.
Next I had then downloaded the 4.1.2 Official Firmware from SamMobile to flash it to stock again, I had then tried going on the Download Mode, It goes to the screen for Download Mode, but when I try pressing up to continue from the warning message it had then rebooted it itself and made it self stuck on the screen again.
Basically, my phone is stuck on boot loop, It does not let me access the recovery mode and it also does not let me access download mode.
ROM Using: Tigra_RomV3 4.3 Based ROM
Kernel Used: The Kernel which comes with the ROM or Stock, I didn't change the kernel myself.
If there is a internal problem does that mean I wont get help from the Warranty because the phone was rooted?
hello,
just try to use the jig, it should work...
use it so your phone will be in download mode, then flash your rom
Do you NANDROID backup? Maybe you may restore it by custom recovery.
Second, remove the battery first for a while and retry to access the RECOVERY and DOWNLOAD mode. If not, try the suggestion up there.
Yesterday, I tried updating my firmware version and it said that updating would improve startup stability. When updating reached 90%, it turned off and now when I try turning it on, it shows "Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082" for a second and then turns off, it keeps doing this repeatedly. I've tried pulling my battery out, using odin to flash firmware again, but it fails everytime. It can go into odin mode but not into recovery mode. In odin mode it says something like "firm version eMMC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
PLEASE HELLP.
[Not rooted]
Hey
Connect your phone to your PC and open Kies
Go to Tools> emergency firmware recovery
Or
Follow phone recovery guide in kies
This will help you restore your phone to latest factory version
I have done this several times
Tell me if this helped[emoji3]
Hey guys, I could REALLY use some help with this. So i had my tablet Rooted. Then after a while my google play store wouldn't respond and I couldn't update any apps. So I decided to revert back to stock firmware. This was the file I had used.
(T800XXU1BOJ1_T800XAR1BOJ1_HOME.tar.md5)
I have the Tab S 10.5 bronze.
So I installed it with Odin and I noticed on Odin it said (Succeeded 0/ Failed 0) and the tablet didn't reboot itself. so I thought okay... it must not have worked. Let me reboot the tablet myself. Mind you the screen on the tablet was still in Odin (Download) Mode. After I reboot it, it went into the same bootloop with the TEAMWIN icon popping up over and over again. So I reboot it again to try and put back into download mode. Well it wouldn't. It just popped up with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S Icon and kept repeating that spot. So once again I turned it off to try and get it into Odin mode, and now it wont turn on at all.
Okay. As i was typing this, i have the tablet connected to the computer and it just randomly turned itself on and now its in the TEAMWIN bootloop again. I don't wanna touch it until I get someones opinion on what to do next...
AWESOME it bootlooped itself again but this time when the samsung logo popped up I held the volume button and got it into Odin Mode! now.... what to do next? I dont want to try the same Stock FIrmware. Idk if it was the problem or not.
alright so here is what I just did..
The tablet rebooted itself while I was typing that message while it was plugged into the PC. It turned itself on but when it was at the Samsung Logo I quickly pressed the Volume button and had gotten it into Odin Mode. I disconnected it from the PC, loaded up the Stock firmware from the first post. Plugged in the Tablet while it was in the Downloading Odin Mode. Hit start on Odin and it did the rest. Now the issue is it reboot, samsung logos popped up and went away. the Samsung logo with the little blips of light/stars around it came up. then it said Installing Applications with a loading bar. That lasted about 2 seconds then went back to the samsung logo with the stars. Then the tablet shut off and now i cant get it back on again.....
Hold POWER + VOL DOWN
Yeah. I know that. That's how I got it into Odin mode.. Thanks for four word incredibly helpful post...
Are you sure you downloaded the correct software for your device? You could try another region's firnware or re-download the one you used.
Since you still see the Teamwin icon I guess it didn't install the firmware correctly or all of it since your recovery should be the stock one again after flashing. Or did you remove items from the .tar file you try to flash?

I'm telling you how to reset your device not boot into download mode smart mouth!
I attempted to re-root my tab S and currently have it on the initial samsung screen. The tab will not turn off nor will it go into recovery mode. It will however go into download mode while operating. I have used odin and reflashed the stock rom while in the download mode. Odin shows success but after the transfer of files to the tab the android man appears and as the stock rom is loading the white loading bar starts to decrease and the word erasing appears. I assume this is happening because I can not turn the tablet off before starting the downloading process.
When I attempt to turn off the tab or get into recovery I get haptic feedback but the word samsung just keeps blinking. I have tried the recovery key sequence at least 50 times.
Any suggestions? Thanks

It boots into recovery after flashing the firmware to complete the update. After 'Erasing' it will automatically reboot.
You must then wait at least 10 minutes for the upgrade to complete. DO NOT attempt to reboot until at least this much time has passed while the Samsung logo blinks.

Thought I responded earlier - THANKS
Hi,
I am trying to flash firmware to my g3 after it developed a problem where it couldn't connect to the cell network.
I flashed stock firmware but it then had a problem where it crashed when starting up (at the network search point).
Now Im trying to flash it again after a reset didn't work, but it's not staying in download mode. It goes into download mode with the small download mode message, but after 10 seconds the screen goes black and lgflashtool continues unable to see the phone. When the screen goes black we get a sound from windows (the typical device CONNECTED sound).
Anything I can try?
